For people wondering changing the screen resolution dowent matter much as it only increases the gpu usage a bit but will not consume massive battery in basic tasks as either way all the pixels in the phone will be used in both scenarios and itll only matter if youre doing a high end task like gaming or somethingthen only resolution matters so if you're an regular normal user with no high end tasks resolution dosnt matter itll be a different of 2 or 3 percent max in normal usage.

I didn't realise how bad the battery life was on the 12. I've been saying for ages the SD 8 gen 2 seemed to be an insane chipset, Qualcomm should've taken a break for 3 years after that cuz the 8 gen 2 was a miracle worker. We should've had 2-3 generations of phones just using this chip with software optimisations

Hi great video, Techdroider can you please answer my question!? Does the global variant of oneplus 13 have better battery life than the Chinese variant? Because your blue model (global) has far outperformed the white (Chinese) one you used in earlier battery tests! Or is the the Chinese one as good now after updates?
ooh nice. would be well worth it to do this type of video with the last 5 generations of samsung devices if they still have the older ones in good battery condition
The 8 Elite, much like its cousin, the X Elite, had diminishing returns in efficiency when you do more intensive tasks. It is fantastic for light usage, but for gaming and the camera, it will have issues, heat and SOT less than other chips.
this test is a bit weird..... because they should be with the same resolution..... with full HD.... some with qud HD and others with full HD its not fair

You should make this same video but show the time it takes to charge from 1% to 100%. Many other reviewers are showing odd results for the 13R. one said 55 minutes to get to 100. The other said 40 minutes. Both are odd. The 12R was able to charge to 100% in 25 minutes.
They never do charge tests. I don't understand why. Draining them is only half of the story. I hear the 13r has a single cell battery this year. So it takes longer to charge now.
@techdroider Wow, 12 hrs + SOT while actively doing intensive tasks is excellent.. This phone will definitely go 2 days without the need to charge it for everyday usage
Next test with poco x7 pro 6550 mAh battery. I want to see the difference. 13R has LTPO but poco had better capacity. Want to see which one wins optimization will play a major role.
OnePlus 13R battery is not a major improvement over 5500 mah of OnePlus 12R. Just few minutes difference not worth it also it's a downgrade with 80W charging compared to 100W on 12R. Huge letdown by OnePlus downgraded capacity compared to the Chinese unit.
