A great blind camera comparison! I found myself gravitating towards the OP 13 shots almost every time, and even the OP 13R in a few instances. OnePlus has delivered a proper flagship with the 13 that can do it all!
From some of the reviews I'd watched prior to testing it out. I thought maybe the iPhone would have faired better against it. It definitely performed better than I had expected.
ONLY the portrait mode did I chose the iPhone. For the rest I actually chose the R over the 13 more times than not. Either way I chose the OP on every phone but one!! 😮😮
Very cool video, congrats! After all this time since the iPhone was released, I thought I knew enough about its quirks that I would be able to recognize it, but I was often getting the OP13 instead, VERY IMPRESSED. To me, as a smartphone overall, the OP13 is far superior in most aspects, but I was ready to accept defeat when it comes to the camera. Based on this, I think it very much trades blows with the iPhone, maybe with the exception of video recording, where it simply doesn't (although I know OP usually tend to improve cameras quite a bit after release, so who knows). I am excited and can't wait to get my new OP13 in a couple days!!
Mate, this comparison video is the BEST! Huge props for making it, and sharing this one here. 13R is just amazing for the price. Keep up the great work.
Great video, but I look at this test in a different way. Sure when I look at the three pictures side by side, there are differences, but I actually look at each individual picture to see if it looks good. The reason is when taking pictures you will only have one phone. If that phone takes good pictures thats all it matters imo. And I have to say, all of the three phones take very good pictures imo so you wont go wrong with any of them.
Not to come in as rude, but I think that's the purpose of this video?? To educate the mass on which phone to "buy" if they're planning to get one based off of the camera results.
@@mashningshen5284 Don't get me wrong, it's not a stab at your video-it's really well done and informative. To me, it shows that all three phones are capable of taking great pictures, and that's what I appreciate. Your comparison highlights the differences, but my takeaway is that no matter which phone someone chooses, they'll still get great results. Thanks for the effort you put into this!
Man I kept getting the 13 and 13R mixed a couple times lol I definitely pointed out the iPhone every time. Good cameras then. Will you also be making a comparison to other phones such as pixel series?
The OnePlus 13 is very good in most situations. Cannot argue the IPhone's stabilisation and video quality. Apparently there are a few London Winter Lights shows happening. The Canary Wharf, and some others in other London landmark areas. Good time to test a few cameras, but will have crowds!
OnePlus 13R is not comparable to the regular 13 or something like that iphone, the 13R is a midrange phone with a much higher price than other midrange phones whereas some other brands have way better functionality, etc.
What do you mean "not comparable"? Certain photos produced by the 13R looked the best from these 3 phones. 13R did surprisingly well, even though the price difference is huge. I bought mine for ~460 USD incl. taxes and got a pair of Buds 3 pro as a gift. Deal of the decade.
@wody21 try reading my comment... And if you're in doubt, go to some electronics store where they have a wide variety of other smartphone brands midrange phones available, and test them one by one, and you'll quickly see what I mean. I've had the opportunity to test the 13R as well as the 12R before that, and comparing them to other midrange phones whereas the price is way lower, then I would always recommend people buying a different phone as the R models from OnePlus don't give you as much "bang for the buck" compared to what you get from different brands.
I got the 13 the most times and the 13r the least but at more than one 13r was the best so really tight! Selfies the 13 was the clear winner and with food the iphone. ;) Choose your priorities! :D
Just started, and just picked the 13 in the first photo. Looking good so far. Edit: in the yoda photo the 13r was my least favorite. Hard to see yoda himself (looking at the lines in his face.)
The OnePlus 13r won a bunch for me. Wow. Is buying the 13 vs 13r worth the extra money. For me it comes down to the little extra ram and 512 vs 256 storage options
Only thing stopping me from buying OnePlus devices is software it shares same software on three brands OnePlus oppo realme that's why i dont like this i have OnePlus Nord 2t today i got a update after updating the device the welcome screen showing color os written on it which i don't like that's why i am going with samsung this year i love OnePlus devices but the merger destroyed the whole brand in my opinion
Crazy crazy! It's been only one year and even the one plus 13r is better than iphone, this year i am seriously thinking to get one plus fold 2; if they bring this same levelnof camera plus all those features; they will beat any fold brand in the market by miles. It's a shame for samsung honestly.

After buying the 13 I'm grinning eat to ear while continuously blindly picking it in this comparison. Thank you for validating my purchase 😂
@@JPQ-y7d same here 🙂👍
Amen. I just got mine today!
I couldn't believe how wrong I was picking all the best photos to be 16 pro Max just to end up being the OnePlus 13 😅😂
I picked the Oneplus 13 for every photo except one, which was the iPhone. Very impressive.
It is impressive. Most people I show this video to do seem to pick OnePlus most of the time. One of them was an iPhone person too.
Yeah they did good in oneplus 13 but completely lost in 13r. Not a good midrange
Damn the oneplus 13 actually holds its own against the iphone. Being like 70% of the iphone price and performing this well, might be my next phone!
From some of the reviews I'd watched prior to testing it out. I thought maybe the iPhone would have faired better against it. It definitely performed better than I had expected.
Oneplus 13 has some issue / jitter in video recording?

Not even close.... One plus wins by a mile. So much for the average camera narrative. Not in Vivo league but it's better than iPhone

Excellent and exciting comparison...I appreciate your hardwork
Why is there a stutter in op13 video? Will this get fixed…I already
preordered mine :(
I think it's a premiere pro issue. I check the footage on the phones and videos playback ok.
Why the video is not smooth on OP?
I'm sure it'll be fixed via patch
Just ordered my op13, now i want 13R. Subbed. Great content.
I feel amazing because I loved the OnePlus 13 in every photo!
Man I kept getting the 13 and 13R mixed a couple times lol I definitely pointed out the iPhone every time. Good cameras then. Will you also be making a comparison to other phones such as pixel series?
The fact 13r is comparable with this price point is commendable.

😊👍 cool video
Thank Simmy 🙏
Was the wobble in video of both OnePlus continued?? Or was it just at the beginning?
Iphone's video capture is amazing.. Pictures, i leaned towards the 13.
I can easily pick out an iPhone photo by lens flair alone. Shame on Apple.
What's with the stutter with OP13 videos in the beginning?
Im coming from a iphone 15 pro max to a OP13- im just amazed that this camera is so good thet i prefered them over the 16 pro max in this video, wow!

Why do you pinch to zoom? Just hold down on the zoom control
Maybe its not on every phone like this?
Is either the Oneplus 13 or S25 ultra for my next phone

I guess your oneplus unit has video recording issue...too much jittery. Coz other yt video didn't have that jitter on their oneplus phones.
The video plays back on the phones ok. Yes, something strange happened with the encoding on premier pro I think.
I was hoping to pick the oneplus 13 in every comparison but ngl I wasn't actually expecting to 😭.... can't wait for it to arrive
Thanks beautiful test. But is it normal that at 0:32 e 7:19, Oneplus 13 has parkinson's?
No it's not. For some reason premiere pro struggled to encode the motion in the video footage. It plays back smooth on the phone. I'm not sure why
Okay I have an iPhone and I thought for sure most of the photos I selected would be from an iPhone but somehow I kept picking the 13r and 13. Strange

Oneplus 13 utterly useless stability wth
