I purchased this exact model. I absolutely love it. I carry it in a Wright Leatherworks predator owb holster. I chose 125gr Buffalo Bore XPB 357. Lucky Gunner has them going 1425fps with 16 inches of penetration in gelatin out of a 2 inch Barrel. Great review.
Man that thing sure is sexy! At some point I need to get a Colt revolver. Great swap out of the sight and that holster looks perfect. The tolerance difference between the colt and Taurus are very obvious. Great video! hope you're having a great weekend!
Thanks brother, I appreciate that. You won't be disappointed with the new snake guns. I'm continually impressed. Looking forward to seeing your 44 snub in action and your premier tomorrow.
@@publicdefender77 Maybe this year I can pick one up... gotta recover from my last purchase. Hope to get to the range tomorrow with the 44. Was going to try today, but the weather is horrible.
@@publicdefender77 difference in recoil is felt but minimal. I believe it’s because of the stock trigger (a really good stock trigger) which makes trigger pull in balance with the anticipation of the recoil. That is my observation of course.
This gun is great mine came with factory bobbed hammer conceals very well and shoots awesome 357s are manageable but 38 plus p shoots really well very nice and reliable gun
Great perspective on this gun. Thank you. It's been on my "not-so-short list" for a while now--just haven't gotten around to grabbing one. I've been eyeing the 3", mainly... I figured it seemed like a good all-around size. But you make a good case for the 2", especially in terms of the velocity.
This is one of my favorite guns and a great CC option. Whatever barrel length you choose, you will be happy. The fit and finish is top of the line. Thanks for the comment brother. I see you have some great content yourself.
Great review thanks! I reviewed my Cobra 2" on my channel. Mine shoots right to point of aim at 15 yards with standard 158 Grain .357 Mag loads which I really appreciate. I have a Craft holster as well but for my Beretta Apex. I like it - it's an IWB.
I wanted to buy the Colt King Cobra in 3 inch barrel but there are several TH-cam videos that rant about problems with the hammer spring and the cylinder jamming shut. Since you did this video have you experienced any problems? Thanks
@@publicdefender77 I’m still debating whether to buy the Colt King Cobra or the S&W Model 19 carry comp. I saw at my local Cabelas that .357 ammo is $1.00 per round. Will be expensive to shoot. And I’m afraid I’m going to want to shoot it a lot.
@mrbee145 those are nice but the fit and finish is no where near the colt. The last 2 Smiths i purchased had to go back to Smith for repair/adjustments.
@@publicdefender77 checked out my local today and they have it, $999. Surprised at how slim it is (compared to the 686). I'll pick it up tomorrow as I can't hand over a grand cash without letting it sink in lol. I took note of what you said about using magnum rounds in a contact and not feeling the impact, so much..? So I'll use .38 for range ammo and .357 as everyday carry. Review was a great help. Kudos.
Perfect holster , thumb brake pancake CANT'ed is the best level ll owb but conseals very good. King Cobra 3" or 2.5" full grip great revolver . Wish they were Blue/BLK finish, w/ checkered walnut grips
I think this is an excellent presentation, and I respect his opinion, that being said...I watched a video just before I found this one, that said the Colt was basically a piece of junk, with several comments from viewers suggesting the same...so at the end of the day...who do you believe...I would love to own this gun,
No two guns are exactly the same. I have had great luck with mine and I'm sure there are some that were made that may have had some flaws. Hopefully if you get one you get one like I got. If you do, you will love it.
Congrats!! You will love it. Mine is running like a champ. I did put a green high visibility Wilson Combat front sight on it and I seem to shoot it better. I love this gun!

Having 6 of 357 in this size package is unbeatable. Thanks for the comment. Happy Easter!
Completely agree. Happy Easter!
Just got one, thanks for the holster rec too. thats where i wasn't certain
You are welcome! You are going to love it. Awesome gun!
Was browsing the same revolver I bought a few months ago. Great review. Happy Easter.

@ChristianGrest I hear you. Where are you located? I'm in Wisconsin and good shooting weather are months away.
@@publicdefender77 I’m in NC. Good shooting weather mostly year round. Today it’s just a cold and rainy day… gets muddy at the range.
I carry the same thing on a daily basis, I love it!
@@MikeColosky-vr5uy my favorite cc revolver
I own the KC 2 inch barrel and also the KC Target 4 inch version. Both are great revolvers with smooth action and consistent accuracy.
I would also like the 4". Very nice. How does the recoil compare?

I've been looking for a swap for my 686+ as a carry as it's just too heavy so imma look into that cobra. Ty

I own a model 329PD that I have taken the titanium cylinder off and replaced with a model 629 fluted stainless steel cylinder.
That 329PD is an amazing revolver. Other than the looks, does the 629 wheel offer any advantages?
