TIPS: You may want to tweak the recipe, using only 1 tablespoon of inulin so as not to give the microbes too much food and create over fermentation. The other thing is to really clean the containers with soap and hot water including cleaning the container tops because bacteria in the air can also get in there and reproduce. The other variable is the type of half and half you use (of course always use organic grass fed) can produce different results, so I am trying different brands currently. If you notice grainy texture and lots of whey with the first batch, do a second batch using just the top part with 2 TBS as your starter with 1 TBS of inulin - this should make a better batch.

@@jessicamiles It'll be an extremely small amount, and once you've cultured the bacteria in a litre of milk it'll likely be an undetectable amount. Look on the bright side - it's also got some magnesium in it! 😁

@@Drberg Hi, As far as I know, La leche búlgara is another type of bacteria that looks like couliflower ( according to google, it's called Lactobacillus bulgaricus) It is not the same as the L. ruterei though it is very healthy and yes, we still drink it). I have been eating this custard, tweaking the recipe too. basic recipe of L. Reuteri (1 pill) and Inulin (1 T) has changed my life (depression gone, inflammation gone) except in the area of sleep. I need to sleep! Dr Davis doesn't quite make clear in THIS interview what was making him sleep 12 hours and he had to stop using - but I listened to other interviews on his podcast and I got the answer! Yakult - cheapest at Walmart of all places! it is 5 little bottles in a celophane pack. I tried drinking one before bed WITH the custard, I slept deeper but still woke up 3 x that night AND one of those times for 2 hours!!! ANSWER - put one little container of Yakult into the custard recipie (I make it in my instant pot in the metal container, not jars, makes 8 one-half cup servings) BUT it will come out a drinkable consistency so next batch I am going to increase the Inulin by 1/2 t so see if custard thicker without becoming sour. Anyway, I SLEPT 10pm to 6:30 am solid!!!! I remember thinking through the night 2-3 x that I was going to wake up, but it was light sleep level, I never fully woke up - I am SO happy bc I have not slept well most of 20 years (since pre-menopause). sleep could change my life, already have more energy and starting to hike again. thank you Dr Berg and Davis

I have been dealing with chronic health issues for almost 7 years now. I was stationed in South Korea where I picked up H. Pylori; this went undiagnosed for years. I watched this video, bought the kit, have just made my second batch of this yogurt, and I don’t want to sound overly excited, but I already feel the improvement. My sleep is deep, and for the first time since as far as I can remember, I wake up by myself feeling alert and calm, whereas before I would snooze my alarm clock maaaany times before I’d even open my eyes. Major difference here. Apart from that, a noticeable increase in energy level, but I feel serene and calm at the same time. Another noticeable change is my gut health. I’ve suffered for several years with something between IBS and SIBO, and had chronic yeast infections that caused permanent feeling of discomfort. After a couple of days on the yogurt the discomfort disappeared, and it’s hard to describe with words, but I feel less inflamed. No bloating, no sugar cravings (and they were very powerful) and just a feeling of wellbeing in my stomach. The yogurt itself I found tastes delicious and its consistency depends a lot on the fat content of the dairy product you use, so this can be adjusted. I am so grateful for this information because as someone who doesn’t trust doctors in general and has struggled with this for years, and tried many different things but despite improvement it never felt like it went away, this really gives me a lot of hope after such a short time. I've made 4 batches now using the instructions. Perfect every time. My crows feet have almost disappeared. I can do full lunges, knee bends - with NO pain. My husband has had gastrointestinal issues for years and recently it has become constant without let up. His pain in his stomach was so bad that he was in and out of the er and all they told him was everything was fine and he has ibs and now gastritis. They did so many test on top of allergy test which he has been getting shots for now. A dear friend let us know about this and started making it for my husband to see how it works. IBS is not fun. I was diagnosed with IBS-C in 2021. I have always suffered from constipation, since I was a teenager, but IBS was new to me. Those flare ups are terrible! I personally changed my diet, I kind of follow the low FODMAP diet, I switched to EVVO, extra virgin coconut oil (get rid of the vegetable oils), grass fed butter, pasture raised eggs, grass fed meat, etc. A holistic doctor recommended Apex Repairvite K-60 (which has L-glutamine, DGL licorice extract, aloe vera gel, etc) really good product and choline from Standard Process. It really helped me with my IBS. I also found out about fennel, really good for IBS symptoms, I has fixed my issues about 90%. I used to take magnesium for my constipation, it really works, but now I take 2 Tbs of EVOO on an empty stomach with a little bit of lemon, it has help me really good! Don't give up, he will get better.
I have been making this yogurt for a couple of years. My 23 year old cat would eat it and his health greatly improved and stayed that way until he passed at 24 1/2 years old.

For Australian viewers, Half and Half is cream mixed with milk, or unhymogenised milk because this milk has not had the cream stripped out of it including the goodness (Colostrum) that regenerates the thymus. I found it takes nearly a week past the used by date for this milk to go off because the colostrum.

@@karimm2 I felt improvement just from eating chia seeds which support gut microbiome indirectly, but also sauerkraut and definitely will try making this yogurt. Also changing lifestyle choices, quiting smoking and alcohol (even in small quantities). Eating red meat definitely helped me so much.
I have been making this L. Reuteri yogurt made with jersey cow half and half for almost two years now. I am 76 and I have never had my gut work so well in my entire life. I feel great and even lost about 10 pounds without even trying! I read both of Dr. Davis's books and they are great! Everyone should make this fantastic yogurt!
@@YodiJohsonna Dr. Davis suggests half and half but it can be made with regular whole milk. It probably will not be as thick and creamy and taste so good. Don't be afraid of the fat, because fat is good for you!

I made this yogurt and sweetened it with monkfruit and added berries. It is very smooth and delicious! Today is my first day, so I'm anxiously awaiting good results!👍
Thank you Dr Berg for making this video! I made this yogurt using goats milk and it turned out great. I used Mt.Capra Whole Goat Milk, it comes in a powder form and you just add water to use it. There was some separation after the yogurt was done, but after it cooled in the fridge for a couple of hours and I whipped it using a spoon, that got rid of all the separation. I love the flavor it’s tangy and tastes like a goat cheese yogurt. I followed Dr. Bergs instructions and only used 1 tbl sp. of Inulin powder, 1 capsule of Oxiceutics My Reuteri and 4 cups of goats milk, cooked in a yogurt maker for 36 hours on 99 degrees. I highly recommend this yogurt, I have been eating it for about 10 days and I am already feeling a difference in my energy. I look forward to eating this every day now. Update: I made another batch using 2 tbl sp of the previous goat milk L. Reuteri yogurt and 1 lb sp of Inulin and 4 cups of goat milk and it turned out even better, almost no separation at all and it was even firmer

Three weeks on this microb and 75% sleep improvement, 30% improvement of chronic constipation, 25% of mood improvement, 75 % improvement of pain upon awaking, 20% improvement of skin. I am very impressed and there are many more microbes to try.
I bought the Insta Pot Pro and used the yogurt setting and the "custom" ability to set the temperature to 100 degrees and 36 hours. It came out perfect the first time. I used canning jars and only put the inner part of the canning lid resting on top to keep out water. I filled the crockpot with warm water to the same level as the mixture in the jars for even heating the entire time. TURNED OUT PERFECT the first time. One tip is to do 1/2 a batch the first time since I was told the first batch can sometimes not turn out as well. I have already started my second batch!
The yogurt feature goes through a pasteurization process. Did yours do that? I'm thinking the heat would destroy the prebiotic past 110F. I'm going to try the sous vide feature alone at 99F and not go through pasteurization step.
@@malackfortar I had to buy a new Insta pot where I could use what they call the custom feature to set my own temperature. The standard yogurt temperature would be too high. Plus, you can set the time with the custom feature.
Luckily, I found a physician who practices "Functional Medicine" when I was at a loss to heal my itching,weeping sores on my hands and legs. She told me that my problem is in my gut. I took a poo test and the results were I had no Bifidobacteria in my gut. She put me on a high quality grade of Bifidobacteria and in a couple weeks all of my itchy weeping sores were gone. I now make my own kefir with farm milk and kefir grains.
@mfa3530 It has been nearly 20 years, but I did find my records. Metagenics! The doctor put me on 3 types of probolic supplements. Ultra Bifidus and CandiBactin-AR & BR. l should add that it was because of what was lacking on my poo test results. I would recommend that you or others should find a dr that can order poo test and evaluate it to make a recommendation.

The lids on my yoghurt containers inside my yoghurt machine had popped of during fermentation and there was yoghurt water everywhere inside the machine. i used: 3 coconut cans, i cant find any other coconut creams than with these added ingredients: xanthan gum, guar gum and Mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids. 1Tbs cane Sugar 3Tbs potato Starch powder 2 Tbs Beef gelatin powder L.reuteri osfortis x2 capsules 20 total billion cfu L.Plantarum 299v 2 capsules 20 billion total cfu L.gasseri 4 capsules 10 billion total cfu i may have filled the containers up too much and thats probably why they popped of. The taste was pretty sour, had to try, didnt smell bad. Anyways, it is said that the first batch usually is a bust, but now i have two tablespoons of coconut yoghurt ready for making batch number two. I am considering using dairy to try next time but i dont know if its safe for hashimotos and sibo/sifo issues or dairy intolerance in general, does anyone know ? I appreciate any tips on improvement of making this.

I watched my friends mum who is turkish, making her own yougurt, by keeping some of the last batch & adding it to a big pan of milk then heating this milk up & leaving for fermentation to happen...they've been doing this for centuries..they drink a glass after their meals to aid in digestion & keeping the stomach clean...thank you for your method Doctors 🙏💜
let me give you the reciepie as a turkish woman :). Heat the milk to exactly 46 celcius. put some heated milk in a blowl and add one spoon of yoğurt for one litre of milk and tamper it. add the bowl to the rest of the milk. pour it into jars. leave it jars open. you can leave them in a pre heated oven or you can just wrap it with a blanket place it near a heater (what we do in winter). it will take aprx 4 hours to fermante. But it depends on the weather conditions. you should check it after 4 hours, sometimes it needs more time. İn summer time no need for oven or heater.
After reading super gut a little bit more than one year ago, I've been making my own kefir, not yoghurt, following the same recipe. Kefir seed and L. Reuteri. I can confirm the benefits. Don't intend to stop eating it daily, it's amazing.

I just read about oxytocin helping with autism. If this bacteria helps promote oxytocin production then I would think it would help with autism as well.
I started making this Super Gut SIBO yogurt about a month ago. I got the AIRE 2 device and was getting between high 8 and 9 scores. I have methane SIBO. This week I finally am getting medium scores on the AIRE 2 in the low to mid 6's. I am so thrilled to start seeing an improvement. I am also following the Wheat Belly guide of no grains, refined sugar and alcohol, processed food. I lost 5 lbs to start but have leveled off now and still loosing but only few oz a week now. I have lost 1.5" in my waist. I have had SIBO since 2007 with many rounds of Rifaximin and very restrictive diets and it has never gone away. So I am hopeful with this and hope to report a low score and be symptom free at some point. A few tips, the first batch may come out separated and cheesy smelling, that is fine. Use it for starter for you second batch and I froze the rest in starter portions. The second batch is be velvety smooth and delicious. I also heat up some of the organic half and half to 100 degrees to mix with the inulin. That helps mix it more evenly, I then add the probiotic or starter and mix and then add the rest of the half and half. I find evenly dividing the mixture into the containers you are using helps evenly distribute the probiotics. I use a ladle and do one ladle in each container until it is all transferred. I have never had a batch that did not come out doing it this way. I use the Luvele Yogurt Maker which I love. I do 100 degrees for L. Reuteri (99 or 100 is fine) and 106 degrees for 36 hours for the Super Gut SIBO yogurt. Thank you to Dr. Davis for this amazing treatment and thank you Dr. Berg for bringing it to your subscribers!

I m a carnivore. I don’t believe adding probiotics that aren’t already a part of digesting my limited diet. I eat meat, butter eggs and tallow. Does lactobacillus play a role in the digestion of the my meat or is it beneficially to someone that actually eats that type of food. That’s kind of where I’m at now. This could be beneficial if your on keto want eating foods that comment this probiotic.

i've been making and consuming L-Reuteri fermented dairy for ALMOST half a year. I can say it has made a pretty big difference in my gut health and symptoms, I am not 100% perfect but I believe continuing to eat this as well as keeping up on good healthy lifestyle choices I can get back to being more normal in general. I had some gut issues arise over a year ago and somewhere in between got covid which actually made it even worse.... Still building my gut back up, if anyone is suffering from any sort of gut issues whether it's SIBO of any sort or any kind of IBD issues I believe l reuteri to be an important piece of the puzzle to getting back to having a healthier gut!
@@dianeorrleflang I get the bio gaia tablets on amazon and crush about 10 of them up mixed with 1 qt of half and half and two table spoons of prebiotic inulin fiber which you can also pick up off amazon. You can use 2 tablespoons of your previous yogurt batch every time to make the next one instead of the tablets (it gets stronger every time :) ). I use an insta pot filled with water that submerges the yogurt in the mason jars I use (obviously don't put them completely under water if that makes sense haha, just submerge most of the yogurt under the water). Ferment it for 36 hours because that's the magic number for these microbes, anything before doesn't give them enough time to thrive and multiply and going over too much starts to kill them. I ferment at 100 degrees (some people do anywhere from 98-110) comes out thick and very tasty and tangy everytime for me at 100 ! Hope this helps let me know if you have any other questions !

Be aware that the 1st time one makes this "yogurt", it will probably separate into a liquid layer,and a more solid layer. (like curds and whey) Just mix it together. The next times one makes it,one uses some of the "yogurt" one has just made instead of a capsule of the probiotic.(so, one does not need to keep buying the probiotic capsules). This second time one makes it,it usually is a more solid,yogurt like consistency throughout,no "curd and whey" type of separation. This stuff is great,and does do wonders ! Also,it is advised to start by eating less than the amount Dr. Berg recommends for a while, and build up to it gradually......some folks have experienced a negative reaction if taking a lot at one time, if they do not gradually,over some days, build up to it. Yep I found the same thing. Im on batch # 10 from my original culture. Critical to use very clean contailers at all times. We dont want to breed bad bugs.
You can use an " Instapot" for this with mason jars, after about 6 hours check the temp of your water and adjust as needed to keep the water at 99, it will be the same every time you make a batch and figure it out, my pot is usually set to 105 I think and that keeps the water at 99, works perfectly ! Also once you make your first batch you can save a bit and this will culture your next batch, its all over youtube, your welcome !
That’s what I have to do-set instapot to 106 to maintain my culture at 99. Each machine and environment will be different. You can use a thermometer to check how the level of your machine needs to be adjusted

Fabulous info! I have been making my own fermented veggies for over a decade; I doubt if their is Reuteri in that. I'm going to purchase everything I need to start making this "yogurt" immediately and have also shared with a friend who has a young boy with Autism - I believe that his condition will be vastly improved with the addition of probiotics in his diet.

TIPS: You may want to tweak the recipe, using only 1 tablespoon of inulin so as not to give the microbes too much food and create over fermentation. The other thing is to really clean the containers with soap and hot water including cleaning the container tops because bacteria in the air can also get in there and reproduce. The other variable is the type of half and half you use (of course always use organic grass fed) can produce different results, so I am trying different brands currently. If you notice grainy texture and lots of whey with the first batch, do a second batch using just the top part with 2 TBS as your starter with 1 TBS of inulin - this should make a better batch.

@@Drberg Hi, As far as I know, La leche búlgara is another type of bacteria that looks like couliflower ( according to google, it's called Lactobacillus bulgaricus) It is not the same as the L. ruterei though it is very healthy and yes, we still drink it). I have been eating this custard, tweaking the recipe too. basic recipe of L. Reuteri (1 pill) and Inulin (1 T) has changed my life (depression gone, inflammation gone) except in the area of sleep. I need to sleep! Dr Davis doesn't quite make clear in THIS interview what was making him sleep 12 hours and he had to stop using - but I listened to other interviews on his podcast and I got the answer! Yakult - cheapest at Walmart of all places! it is 5 little bottles in a celophane pack. I tried drinking one before bed WITH the custard, I slept deeper but still woke up 3 x that night AND one of those times for 2 hours!!! ANSWER - put one little container of Yakult into the custard recipie (I make it in my instant pot in the metal container, not jars, makes 8 one-half cup servings) BUT it will come out a drinkable consistency so next batch I am going to increase the Inulin by 1/2 t so see if custard thicker without becoming sour. Anyway, I SLEPT 10pm to 6:30 am solid!!!! I remember thinking through the night 2-3 x that I was going to wake up, but it was light sleep level, I never fully woke up - I am SO happy bc I have not slept well most of 20 years (since pre-menopause). sleep could change my life, already have more energy and starting to hike again. thank you Dr Berg and Davis

I have been dealing with chronic health issues for almost 7 years now. I was stationed in South Korea where I picked up H. Pylori; this went undiagnosed for years. I'm so sorry for your struggle!!! I've been in the same boat & I too have been struggling with a horrible case of H. Pylori . It went undiagnosed because it only showed up in stool sample. Functional medicine takes not only blood, but saliva, urine & stool to help see the processes in our bodies & where the issue is. I had SO MANY issues but the H.Pylori was the worst & she said it was the worst case she'd ever seen & it would probably take me 6 months to 1 year to heal. I watched this video, bought the kit, have just made my second batch of this yogurt, and I don’t want to sound overly excited, but I already feel the improvement. My sleep is deep, and for the first time since as far as I can remember, I wake up by myself feeling alert and calm, whereas before I would snooze my alarm clock maaaany times before I’d even open my eyes. Major difference here.
Apart from that, a noticeable increase in energy level, but I feel serene and calm at the same time.
Another noticeable change is my gut health. I’ve suffered for several years with something between IBS and SIBO, and had chronic yeast infections that caused permanent feeling of discomfort. After a couple of days on the yogurt the discomfort disappeared, and it’s hard to describe with words, but I feel less inflamed. No bloating, no sugar cravings (and they were very powerful) and just a feeling of wellbeing in my stomach.
The yogurt itself I found tastes delicious and its consistency depends a lot on the fat content of the dairy product you use, so this can be adjusted.
I am so grateful for this information because as someone who doesn’t trust doctors in general and has struggled with this for years, and tried many different things but despite improvement it never felt like it went away, this really gives me a lot of hope after such a short time.
Thank you Dr Berg, as always you’re just a gem of a human and I believe you should be noted for your contribution to humanity. I don’t know by whom because they’re all corrupted, but we appreciate you so much.
Dr Davis should get the Nobel prize for this, but again, if he gets in the way of big pharma it’s unlikely. They’re all part of the same club.

WEEK 4 UPDATE:
This thing is phenomenal! I eat half a cup of this yogurt with some honey, seeds and banana most mornings. Results at present-
My hair is shiny and has more spring to it, it feels smoother.
My waist is incredible!!! No exercise whatsoever, the same diet and I lost a couple of inches in 4 weeks! Last time my waist was this slim was when I was 21 (and I am in my mid-thirties now).
My skin is supple and has a healthy glow to it.
All bloating gone, flat stomach, no reaction to foods that used to cause me pain and discomfort like sauerkraut or apples (now I eat an apple every day!).
My sleep is amazing.
My mood is serene and very stable (even on PMS!) and I still wake up by myself around the time of my alarm clock, feeling alert and happy!

I've made 4 batches now using the instructions. Perfect every time. My crows feet have almost disappeared. I can do full lunges, knee bends - with NO pain. I performed a 1-minute plank with ease and four pushups - could barely do one. Im definitely stronger. I'm sleeping better, and I think my hairline is filling in. I'm 62 and looking forward to starting adult dance and gymnastics classes. And OH, I don't know if it affects flexibility- but I did a split today (I was a cheerleader in highschool).

My husband has had gastrointestinal issues for years and recently it has become constant without let up. His pain in his stomach was so bad that he was in and out of the er and all they told him was everything was fine and he has ibs and now gastritis. They did so many test on top of allergy test which he has been getting shots for now. A dear friend let us know about this and started making it for my husband to see how it works. IBS is not fun. I was diagnosed with IBS-C in 2021. I have always suffered from constipation, since I was a teenager, but IBS was new to me. Those flare ups are terrible! I personally changed my diet, I kind of follow the low FODMAP diet, I switched to EVVO, extra virgin coconut oil (get rid of the vegetable oils), grass fed butter, pasture raised eggs, grass fed meat, etc. A holistic doctor recommended Apex Repairvite K-60 (which has L-glutamine, DGL licorice extract, aloe vera gel, etc) really good product and choline from Standard Process. It really helped me with my IBS. I also found out about fennel, really good for IBS symptoms, I has fixed my issues about 90%. I used to take magnesium for my constipation, it really works, but now I take 2 Tbs of EVOO on an empty stomach with a little bit of lemon, it has help me really good! Don't give up, he will get better.
I have been making this yogurt for a couple of years. My 23 year old cat would eat it and his health greatly improved and stayed that way until he passed at 24 1/2 years old.

For Australian viewers, Half and Half is cream mixed with milk, or unhymogenised milk because this milk has not had the cream stripped out of it including the goodness (Colostrum) that regenerates the thymus. I found it takes nearly a week past the used by date for this milk to go off because the colostrum.

@@karimm2 I felt improvement just from eating chia seeds which support gut microbiome indirectly, but also sauerkraut and definitely will try making this yogurt. Also changing lifestyle choices, quiting smoking and alcohol (even in small quantities). Eating red meat definitely helped me so much.

I have been making this L. Reuteri yogurt made with jersey cow half and half for almost two years now. I am 76 and I have never had my gut work so well in my entire life. Thank you Dr Berg for making this video! I made this yogurt using goats milk and it turned out great. I used Mt.Capra Whole Goat Milk, it comes in a powder form and you just add water to use it. There was some separation after the yogurt was done, but after it cooled in the fridge for a couple of hours and I whipped it using a spoon, that got rid of all the separation. I love the flavor it’s tangy and tastes like a goat cheese yogurt. I followed Dr. Bergs instructions and only used 1 tbl sp. of Inulin powder, 1 capsule of Oxiceutics My Reuteri and 4 cups of goats milk, cooked in a yogurt maker for 36 hours on 99 degrees. I highly recommend this yogurt, I have been eating it for about 10 days and I am already feeling a difference in my energy. I look forward to eating this every day now. Update: I made another batch using 2 tbl sp of the previous goat milk L. Reuteri yogurt and 1 lb sp of Inulin and 4 cups of goat milk and it turned out even better, almost no separation at all and it was even firmer

I bought the Insta Pot Pro and used the yogurt setting and the "custom" ability to set the temperature to 100 degrees and 36 hours. It came out perfect the first time. I used canning jars and only put the inner part of the canning lid resting on top to keep out water. I filled the crockpot with warm water to the same level as the mixture in the jars for even heating the entire time. TURNED OUT PERFECT the first time. One tip is to do 1/2 a batch the first time since I was told the first batch can sometimes not turn out as well. I have already started my second batch!

The yogurt feature goes through a pasteurization process. Did yours do that? I'm thinking the heat would destroy the prebiotic past 110F. I'm going to try the sous vide feature alone at 99F and not go through pasteurization step.

@@malackfortar I had to buy a new Insta pot where I could use what they call the custom feature to set my own temperature. The standard yogurt temperature would be too high. Plus, you can set the time with the custom feature.

Luckily, I found a physician who practices "Functional Medicine" when I was at a loss to heal my itching,weeping sores on my hands and legs. She told me that my problem is in my gut. I took a poo test and the results were I had no Bifidobacteria in my gut.
She put me on a high quality grade of Bifidobacteria and in a couple weeks all of my itchy weeping sores were gone.
I now make my own kefir with farm milk and kefir grains.

Metagenics! The doctor put me on 3 types of probolic supplements. Ultra Bifidus and CandiBactin-AR & BR.

Ive tried this now myself.
The lids on my yoghurt containers inside my yoghurt machine had popped of during fermentation and there was yoghurt water everywhere inside the machine.
i used:
3 coconut cans, i cant find any other coconut creams than with these added ingredients: xanthan gum, guar gum and Mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids.
1Tbs cane Sugar
3Tbs potato Starch powder
2 Tbs Beef gelatin powder
L.reuteri osfortis x2 capsules 20 total billion cfu
L.Plantarum 299v 2 capsules 20 billion total cfu
L.gasseri 4 capsules 10 billion total cfu
i may have filled the containers up too much and thats probably why they popped of.
The taste was pretty sour, had to try, didnt smell bad.
Anyways, it is said that the first batch usually is a bust, but now i have two tablespoons of coconut yoghurt ready for making batch number two.
I am considering using dairy to try next time but i dont know if its safe for hashimotos and sibo/sifo issues or dairy intolerance in general, does anyone know ?

I watched my friends mum who is turkish, making her own yougurt, by keeping some of the last batch & adding it to a big pan of milk then heating this milk up & leaving for fermentation to happen...they've been doing this for centuries..they drink a glass after their meals to aid in digestion & keeping the stomach clean...thank you for your method Doctors 🙏💜
let me give you the reciepie as a turkish woman :). Heat the milk to exactly 46 celcius. put some heated milk in a blowl and add one spoon of yoğurt for one litre of milk and tamper it. add the bowl to the rest of the milk. pour it into jars. leave it jars open. you can leave them in a pre heated oven or you can just wrap it with a blanket place it near a heater (what we do in winter). it will take aprx 4 hours to fermante. But it depends on the weather conditions. you should check it after 4 hours, sometimes it needs more time. İn summer time no need for oven or heater.

After reading super gut a little bit more than one year ago, I've been making my own kefir, not yoghurt, following the same recipe. Kefir seed and L. Reuteri. I can confirm the benefits. Don't intend to stop eating it daily, it's amazing.

I started making this Super Gut SIBO yogurt about a month ago. I got the AIRE 2 device and was getting between high 8 and 9 scores. I have methane SIBO. This week I finally am getting medium scores on the AIRE 2 in the low to mid 6's. I am so thrilled to start seeing an improvement. I am also following the Wheat Belly guide of no grains, refined sugar and alcohol, processed food. I lost 5 lbs to start but have leveled off now and still loosing but only few oz a week now. I have lost 1.5" in my waist. I have had SIBO since 2007 with many rounds of Rifaximin and very restrictive diets and it has never gone away. So I am hopeful with this and hope to report a low score and be symptom free at some point. A few tips, the first batch may come out separated and cheesy smelling, that is fine. Use it for starter for you second batch and I froze the rest in starter portions. The second batch is be velvety smooth and delicious. I also heat up some of the organic half and half to 100 degrees to mix with the inulin. That helps mix it more evenly, I then add the probiotic or starter and mix and then add the rest of the half and half. I find evenly dividing the mixture into the containers you are using helps evenly distribute the probiotics. I use a ladle and do one ladle in each container until it is all transferred. I have never had a batch that did not come out doing it this way. I use the Luvele Yogurt Maker which I love. I do 100 degrees for L. Reuteri (99 or 100 is fine) and 106 degrees for 36 hours for the Super Gut SIBO yogurt. Thank you to Dr. Davis for this amazing treatment and thank you Dr. Berg for bringing it to your subscribers!

I m a carnivore. I don’t believe adding probiotics that aren’t already a part of digesting my limited diet. I eat meat, butter eggs and tallow. Does lactobacillus play a role in the digestion of the my meat or is it beneficially to someone that actually eats that type of food. That’s kind of where I’m at now. This could be beneficial if your on keto want eating foods that comment this probiotic.

i've been making and consuming L-Reuteri fermented dairy for ALMOST half a year. I can say it has made a pretty big difference in my gut health and symptoms, I am not 100% perfect but I believe continuing to eat this as well as keeping up on good healthy lifestyle choices I can get back to being more normal in general. I had some gut issues arise over a year ago and somewhere in between got covid which actually made it even worse.... Still building my gut back up, if anyone is suffering from any sort of gut issues whether it's SIBO of any sort or any kind of IBD issues I believe l reuteri to be an important piece of the puzzle to getting back to having a healthier gut!

You can use 2 tablespoons of your previous yogurt batch every time to make the next one instead of the tablets (it gets stronger every time :) ). I use an insta pot filled with water that submerges the yogurt in the mason jars I use (obviously don't put them completely under water if that makes sense haha, just submerge most of the yogurt under the water). Ferment it for 36 hours because that's the magic number for these microbes, anything before doesn't give them enough time to thrive and multiply and going over too much starts to kill them. I ferment at 100 degrees (some people do anywhere from 98-110) comes out thick and very tasty and tangy everytime for me at 100 ! Hope this helps let me know if you have any other questions !

@@danielagentile8049 a cup or two a day. Gives me tons of energy. When I feel like snacking I just do a few swigs instead of reaching for junk. Whole plain unsweetened. Organic if my store gets it. I also take pirmadophilus l-reuteri nightly.

I made my FIRST batch and it came out perfect! Rich and creamy. No more shop bought yogurt. Now I know what it’s supposed to taste like no going back.

Just a note… your first batch will separate like curds and whey. Just mix and eat. You’ll also save a bit of this cultured dairy for your next batch, which will turn out better. You won’t need to buy anymore probiotics if you keep it going. Keeps approx 10 days in refrigerator!

@@ozarks_homesteader I contacted the manufacturer with the same question and they responded very fast and professionally. They advised me to use 1 Tad scoop provided with the product. At the end it’s a personal preference if someone wants to add more than 1 scoop. But overall I’m extremely satisfied with the product and quality service provided.

me too! I have some kind of sensory issue with the consistency of yogurt, pudding, etc! I haven't slept well 20 years when menopause started (10 yr process), the last 2 years Magnesium Glycinate, B complex and chamomile tea helped but NOT deep sleep or dreaming. This is exactly what I need. I know just by my own instinct my gut causes me issues with my brain. Dizzy spells, anxiety.

@Anna-l5e2c Yes, for sure. I think the problem for me is my stomach is not absorbing nutrients like it should.
Be aware that the 1st time one makes this "yogurt", it will probably separate into a liquid layer,and a more solid layer. (like curds and whey) Just mix it together.
The next times one makes it,one uses some of the "yogurt" one has just made instead of a capsule of the probiotic.(so, one does not need to keep buying the probiotic capsules).
This second time one makes it,it usually is a more solid,yogurt like consistency throughout,no "curd and whey" type of separation.
This stuff is great,and does do wonders !
Also,it is advised to start by eating less than the amount Dr. Berg recommends for a while, and build up to it gradually......some folks have experienced a negative reaction if taking a lot at one time, if they do not gradually,over some days, build up to it. Best wishes.

Yep I found the same thing. Im on batch # 10 from my original culture. Critical to use very clean contailers at all times. We dont want to breed bad bugs.

You can use an " Instapot" for this with mason jars, after about 6 hours check the temp of your water and adjust as needed to keep the water at 99, it will be the same every time you make a batch and figure it out, my pot is usually set to 105 I think and that keeps the water at 99, works perfectly ! Also once you make your first batch you can save a bit and this will culture your next batch, its all over youtube, your welcome !

That’s what I have to do-set instapot to 106 to maintain my culture at 99. Each machine and environment will be different. You can use a thermometer to check how the level of your machine needs to be adjusted

Fabulous info! I have been making my own fermented veggies for over a decade; I doubt if their is Reuteri in that. I'm going to purchase everything I need to start making this "yogurt" immediately and have also shared with a friend who has a young boy with Autism - I believe that his condition will be vastly improved with the addition of probiotics in his diet.
