@@Blakelysworld358 Already ordered some LaBella deep talking flats for my new Sire U5, and it hasn't even arrived yet - also ordered Gotoh 528 tuners, which are lighter and better quality. I assume it should be well balanced, but the lighter tuners can only help.

I went to see Marcus Miller Live at the Jazz At Lincoln Center in NY in 2019.
Those sound FANTASTIC, and they look stunning! I really hope they don't make one in a Sherwood Green/British Racing Green...because then I'll have to buy one! 😁

Looks like a fun guitar to play.
I've had the mint green one for a few months and it is very impressive. Thd rolled neck is just like a Fender Ultra, the tuners don't need changing, and the fit and finish is flawless.
The pups are a bit muddy but that might be my chain.
The only negatives are the sharp body edges that make it uncomfortable on the forearm when sitting, and it has a bit of neck dive.

I really like mine. My only dislike is no arm carve. That sharp edge bites the forearm. The pros far outweigh this con.

Mine has very powerfull low frequences .. I must move down to zero the bass knob of my amp ; treble on 75% and low mid on 30%. Is it normal ?
The Mint green would look much better with just a tinted maple headstock IMO. That would give it a vintage flair !
Is the bridge pickup quiet? It's not the be-all-and-end-all. Actually, for me it is.

All of the guys at Andertons are great. Lee, Lee, Pete, Rabea... But if I had the privilage to choose.. . I would most likely got super drunk with Nathan :D
This Sire or Squier Jaguar PJ cv 32 inches scale?
Great basses, they need to make a 24 fret version of the u5 though... Short scale basses are limiting depending on what and how you play, if it was long scale with scooped top frets from the 16th and up, to be able to get under the string more to bend eaiser, I'd buy it. Please make a verion of this bass with these two things, then it'll be perfect.
A problem with that is when you have a short scale the upper frets are very close together. On a 25" scale guitar the upper frets are a bit tricky but playable because of the thin strings. On a bass the thick strings and narrow fret spacing makes it hard to press the string down sufficiently.
defeats the purpose of a 25" bass...if you want 24 frets just play regular scale bass
So, since the passive pickups have strong output will i need a di box to connect the bass with an audio interface or not?
Pickup output isn't the issue, input impedance is and that's the main function of a DI. Depending on the interface, too, since many have DI inputs (often labeled "hi-Z" or "instrument" inputs) built in.

If I still have a job by the end of the year (Fuck you Covid) I'm absolutely buying one of these. I'm a short-arse and have very small hands that are also mildly arthritic, so I really struggle recording bass tracks for my music. I never knew short-scale basses existed so seeing this is fantastic news.

I work in hospitality and trading has been dire these last few months. It's a large company I work for but they can only sustain losses for so long. Anyway, enough Doom and Gloom. So far only Ibanez offers one for cheap. Its $200 but a mere 28.5" scale?

I thought I've also seen them in white; but black is the most common color.
At least in the US, we have a few more color choices for the 28.5" scale. Walnut stain, transparent red/burgundy, metallic burgundy, metallic blue, brown sunburst, purple and root beer. Nothing as cool as the U5 Mint which this vid MADE me order.

it's 30" yes it's standard short scale but better to point that out IMO.

These are great for the price I'm sure, but come on now, we all know that MM's custom Sire is not his go to instrument because it really doesn't cut it sonically.
For that price, it would have been nice to have known whether or not it comes with a gig bag or a case of some kind.
