The first PlayStation revolutionised gaming for the better. The PS2 was the console that introduced groundbreaking franchises, some of which are still going strong today, whilst others remain cult favourites. So much of what we love about gaming today, we owe to the PS2
Great vid dude, I did the exact same thing last year, bought a ps2 and my childhood games. It’s all I play these days.
Definitely recommend playing the OG xbox for 3rd party games as alot run and look better.
Yea, there is only a handful of games better on PS2, 98% of them are better on Xbox Classic.
Some games that are better on PS2:
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
MGS 2: Substance
Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance (first one only)
Silent Hill 2 is questionable despite what people tend to say.
Silent Hill 4 - better lighting on PS2 but no dihtering on Xbox
Aaaand MAYBE Spy Hunter and Dynasty Warriors 3. Haven't tested that myself.
Everything else is better on Xbox Classic. Sometimes the difference is so huge, it looks like different generation (Splinter Cell 3, Just Cause, etc...)
@@Death-to-casuals Yeah i know that vice city is better on ps2 in a way because of the trees and helicopter blades looking better.

@@Death-to-casualsLol who really cares if lightning or trees look a tiny bit better on another console, if your more concerned about this then playing the game I’d suggest not playing games at all 😂
Xbox still had a decent amount of exclusives. I much prefer the xbox controller because of the triggers. I never really liked the ps2 controller. @KrisVickers-wn6dd
I still have my ps2 and love it, even to this day.

I've still got my original PlayStation 2 that I got when I was 15 years old.. and still play the crap out of it.. even though I have all the playstations.. still love playing my PlayStation 3 too..
PS2 was my second console coming from the Ps1 its awesome that they have backwards compatibility for sure
It's interesting how they made the PS3 forward not backwards compatible

Wow, that's a really tough question to answer because there are just so many good ones but I would have to say these would make my list: GTA San Andreas, Gran Turismo 4, God Of War 1 & 2, Burnout 3, Outrun 2006-Coast To Coast, Devil May Cry 1-3, Flatout 1 & 2, Gauntlet-Dark Legacy, Hot Shots Golf Fore!, NFS Underground 1 & 2, NFS-Hot Pursuit 2, Ratchet & Clank-Up Your Arsenal, Robotech-Battlecry, Samurai Western, God Hand, Bully, Shadow Of The Colossus, The Simpsons-Hit & Run, The Simpsons-Road Rage, Snoopy vs. The Red Baron, Soul Caliber 2 & 3, Tekken 4 & 5, Test Drive-Eve Of Destruction, Time Splitters 1, 2, and Future Perfect, and Viewtiful Joe 1 & 2. These are only but a few and I could go on and on but I won't so we'll leave it at that lol.👍

The PS2 Rock's i bought my first one when i was in the US Army and played the crap out of Metal of Honor Frontline! love that game and Grand Turismo 3 A spec was great so was GTA 3 such a awesome console!
Just use Component cables plug it in, and get a FMCB Memory Card with a adapter and a Harddrive preloaded with games and play the games without wearing out the disc drive.

I play PS2 as my main console. I don't have a "modern console" with their lame games.
original Xbox is better though, I want an Og xbox as my main.
