My male betta is in a 10 gallon tank. The 1st month I had him, I didn’t have a filter and he was going crazy on the bubble nests. When I added the filter on low flow, he stopped for a month until I added more plants. Then he started bubble nesting again. I wasn’t sure if I should do it but I just added 8 neon tetras and 3 gold tetras yesterday. My betta seemed depressed last night, but today he seems ok about it. The tetras are beautiful and I’m going to upgrade to at least a 30 gallon in a few months :) I did notice there were some new bubbles this morning though, so it’s probably just bc it’s a new situation and he was in the tank alone first.
Ps also, I tested my betta first by playing videos of tetras zoomed in and showing them to him for 5 minutes at a time. He seemed curious about it. That’s what made me feel ok to get the tetras :)
@@saded6795 my male butterfly betta got along fine with most of them. The problem is I got a few gold and a few neon tetras. The neon tetras brought in neon tetra disease and so their population is dwindling. So long as you get healthy fish, they should get along in a 10 gallon. Just make sure there are enough plants and hiding spaces for all fish and to put some if those spots at the top of the tank where your betta can get relief from the tetras if he needs. :)
Wow I bought 2 Betta fish one for my son and one for my daughter and my Son's Betta fish built a bubble nest two different occasions now. I was worried what it was until your cleared that up for me thanks man your the best💯💙😎💪

I have them in a divided tank but one day the male made it through to the other side and now I think she may be pregnant. Because they are separate, will the male be able to fertilize the eggs after she lays them? Can they be in the tank together without the divider?
I cleaned his tank and I put his bamboo plant back into the tank I used to keep it in a glass jar beside the tank and he's hardly eating because he's too busy working on his bubbles his fins on the side of his head are flapping like you don't know😮😊
i got two female bettas and wanted to make a sorority tank. well two days later to my surprise i came home to a bubble nest with eggs in it.... they ended up fighting and breaking it and since t h en the male kept attacking the female and the store wouldnt take it back THOUGH IT WAS LABLED FEMALE. so I had to set up a second tank

Sir I have two gourami fish one green is male and one white is female and in my tank I think that female has laid eggs today because from many days I have sawn that my female was little fat eggs was in it and now I saw that female is not fat at all and yellowish eggs is there in my tank like bubble so I want to ask that if to remove any fish after egg male or female and one more question that can I keep my tank in sunlight is it ok please answer as soon as possible sir
Not ideal, moving in and out of the tank frequently can shock the betta. You can put 2 aquariums side by side for them to see each other for a short while, then block it with a cover.

How is your community tank currently? I’m thinking of adding some tetras to my 10gallon tank with my twintail halfmoon betta.

You can do water change. Female betta only lays eggs after mating with male betta.
how do you get a young betta male to start building booble nest....i have to machai male, and no matter what i do, they do not build bobblenest.
