This is my version of the Spiral Mountain theme from Banjo-Kazooie (which, by the way, has one of the best musical scores known to man).
And just for the record, I have no idea where that accordion came from or why it was purchased, but I found it lying around in the garage, so I decided to include it in this recording.

I have to say that's fantastic! When I was re-doing Spiral Mountain for Nuts and Bolts it took me ages to learn and play all the Banjo parts... well done Sir!
@Grant Kirkhope, thank you for your invaluable contributions to music as a whole. One of my favorite tracks of yours is the fire side of Hailfire Peaks. Others that I am fond of are Jolly Roger’s Lagoon, Treasure Trove Cove, Spiral Mountain, and Gruntilda’s Lair.

Thanks! I actually made that Kazooie doll as a part of a Halloween costume I assembled a few years ago. The costume is just a werewolf suit topped off with a bear mask, and then decorated with a pair of yellow shorts and a blue backpack that I found at WalMart. For the Kazooie doll, I basically just sewed a bunch of felt together and stuffed it with cotton. I've worn the costume for the past 5 years or so, but no one ever knows who I'm supposed to be. lol.
Well at least we know!
No problem! What I do is set up my video camera to record myself while I'm making the audio recording. The audio is recorded with a program called Audacity. First I record the instrument that keeps a steady rhythm going (in this case I started with the mandolin), and then I record the rest of the instruments while listening to the rhythm track. After everything is recorded, I export the audio as an MP3 file, and then I import the MP3 and the videos into Adobe Premiere and synchronize everything.

Hard to say, but I'd say that it was about a week I guess. The parts that took the longest were learning how to play the accordion and getting used to the way that the mandolin was tuned, but everything else was pretty easy.

Thanks! I've been getting a lot of requests to do another Banjo Kazooie piece, so I'll probably be doing one sometime in the future. It'll probably be a while though now that the fall semester has started and I have less time to devote to music. Hopefully I'll be able to get to it within the next couple of months!

Thanks! I think I recorded this in two days, but usually it takes longer than that to put these projects together.
A lot of the odder instruments from my collection come from two local toy stores called Toy Joy and Terra Toys. However, most of the instruments that I've bought from those places can also be found on Amazon (which is another place that I frequently buy instruments from), but I prefer to buy locally when I can so that I can hear what the instruments sound like before I buy them.
