I don't blame you for saying that. Also, I really love these covers. They're high quality and made well. By the way, how many instruments do you know how to play?
Mastaevan123 Hey! I tried to respond to your earlier post, but according to Google, I'm not allowed to talk to you. So here's to hoping that this response goes through. I actually only have three melodicas (one cheap one that I use to practice on, one high end one for performing, and one bass melodica), and I use all of them on a fairly regular basis, so I probably won't be selling any of them any time soon!
Eric C. Thanks! Not sure, but I just did a quick count, and it seems that I own about 25 different instruments, although I think a lot of them are miscellaneous percussion instruments, which don't require a terribly large amount of skill to play.
Man, I can't believe how rich your recordings sound. Like, instrumental prowess aside, the recording quality itself is incredible. How do you do it? Is it because you're using such a high end mic or are you just brilliant at mastering/EQing/mixing/all-that-bullshit-I-don't-know-how-to-do? Both? I'm really curious 'cause my videos sound like shit... Awesome video as always.
Thanks, I'm glad you like the way it sounds! For me, I feel like my recordings really start to come alive during the mixing process, although ideally mic choice, mic position, and instrument choice should play a big role in determining the overall sound as well. I had actually never paid much attention to the mixing process until earlier this year, when I realized that my projects could be sounding so much better if I just took some time to learn how to mix. I have since read a few books on the subject, but I'm still relatively new to the whole mixing thing, so I'm still learning a lot with each project I work on. But if you're interested in improving your mixing skills, you should definitely check out a book called Mixing Secrets for the Small Studio by Mike Senior, as it is one of the best books on the subject that I've read, and I feel like it's helped me a whole lot. Seriously, I can't recommend that book enough.
PoopPoopFart Thanks for your insight! I'm in the same boat now, that you *were* in. I've never really cared much for mixing, but I'm starting to realize just how important it is. I'll check that book out!
So many BK covers, fantastic! And you chose literally all of those I was intending to arrange... haha, wonderful! Good sound, good arrangements, neatly edited. Good job!
You have no idea how excited I was to see this pop up in my list of videos. I suspect I will be listening to this several times a day for at least the next two weeks.
Y'know, I took my old melodica out of the case and started playing it cause of your Banjo & Kazooie arrangements. Freezeezy Peak was the first one I learned on my own, so it's really great to see it done properly by you.
I just want to say this is superb. If I wasn’t watching I would swear this was actual gameplay. I find it so amazing that you incorporated every instrument into your recordings, right down to the small sound effects in the background. I think banjo-kazooie music is by far the hardest to recreate and you nailed it my friend. Very well done👍
I've seen a ton, an absolute *TON* of videogame music covers here on TH-cam. You just blew my mind, such high quality! So many instruments! Such clear sound! Thanks so much man I hope this channel gets double the traffic it has now!
Such an amazing performance, every instrument can be appreciated, artist like you deserve to be viral, not the bullshit we see in every corner. Thanks for bringing our childhood full of joy with your interpretations
Ah, it's good to hear from you again, man! Your covers are always a joy to listen to, and these BK ones are especially nostalgic. As for a place for MP3s, I'd suggest Dropbox. I've never used it myself, but another TH-camr I follow has a lot of his stuff there, and it seems to work well.
You know, when I come home from work I always have a lot of new videos in my subbox and most of them really interest me. Some make me go "Awesome!" but yours are some of the very few which make me go "OMG HE UPLOADED A NEW VIDEO, GOTTA WATCH IT NOW!" Great work, thanks for the upload! Really enjoy your Banjo-Kazooie covers!
im so sorry I found this so late but I can't express how amazing this is. from the steel xylophone thing, to the noise that sounds like a spring(excuse me for not knowing the proper names of the instrument) this was a 10/10 cover. thank you so much for this. brought me to the verge of tears from all the nostalgia. insta favorited.
Growing up as a kid in the late 90s... Just HEARING this automatically brings one thing to mind: CHRISTMAS I'm blasting this in my aunt's house on repeat when we decorate for the holidays this year
It’s not like the other orchestra tracks that others do, and that’s good for it stands out in the crowd, as it is a unique version of this classic theme. Unlike other people’s versions which are loud, bombastic, or both. This one is calm, relaxing, and very home like which gives off a warm feeling while listening to during the winter. Thanks for creating this and the other projects you have made, keep creating and having a good one.
Awesome job! Loving the instrumental variation :D
Why am I only now discovering that these covers exist? This is amazing.
Grant kirkhope made my childhood pretty awesome
Nintendo *64* likes!
Dave Jarvis
I wish I could’ve seen it :/
His music made those games
David Wise and Koji Kondo as well
I love Rare and Grant Kirkhope
This was the shot of dopamine I didn't know I needed
Oddly scientific...
Been listening to PPF's covers of everything for the last several days on loop in a massive playlist, and I don't really need to stop any time soon.
This guy deserves so many more views for his music.
Ugh, this new comment system is so stupid.
I don't blame you for saying that. Also, I really love these covers. They're high quality and made well. By the way, how many instruments do you know how to play?
You're always the voice of reason. You are tearing me apart, youtube.
PoopPoopFart Do you have any melodicas you wouldn't mind selling?

The beauty that is this cover makes my inner child emotional as hell. This is THE anthem of Christmas for me

So many BK covers, fantastic! And you chose literally all of those I was intending to arrange... haha, wonderful! Good sound, good arrangements, neatly edited. Good job!

If I'm correct that xylophone thingy is called a glockenspiel
The spring thing is a jaw harp
