I had a friend that passed away recently. We use to talk about how great it would've been to see this character in smash. If only he could've lived to see the day.
Because I think that, even when the execution of the characters wasn't perfect (meaning they're not OP like a lot of the other DLC characters), their inclusion was something EVERYBODY could be happy with. It wasn't anime, it wasn't something oversaturated like Undertale or Minecraft and it wasn't both cases with another FE character.

That and all three of them getting super hyped when Banjo and Kazooie showed up just made me feel all warm and fuzzy. Like they were welcoming long lost siblings home.
I keep coming back to the hero's trailer because in my opinion (don't get offended by this) hero is better than banjo in my opinion and his trailer was better! Don't try to convince to like banjo or anything! Ok?
I love that last shot of all the character’s in the background cheering for the bear and bird. It really sells how much Banjo-Kazooie has been missed from Nintendo. Every time I see it I can’t help but smile and think “They’re back.”
Yeah, even though i wanted Crash Bandicoot at first, i was absolutely supporting the idea for Banjo in Smash, seeing as this was one of my friend's dream character. And when he joined in, we both cried tears of happiness seeing our favorite bear and bird duo finally make their glorious comeback in Smash Ultimate. And i'm very grateful for Sakurai for giving so much care and love into this incredible DLC character. Definitely my #1 DLC character in the game !
I just wish they made him a bit better in terms of character strength. He's far from bad (honestly, I don't consider any character to be bad), but they could have made him a bit more on par with some of the other DLC. _Glares at Joker and Pyra_
I could give less of a damn about how "poorly excecuted" the playstyle was (like how Twitter people say), this is literally historical as alot of other reveals in this game and will be noted like that for years to come
Which will almost certainly make it the highest-quality commercial sculpt of the duo there's ever been. Hell, I don't think Kazooie's ever HAD a solid figure, just some plushies. (Banjo did have a halfway-decent figure as part of a Diddy Kong Racing series, if memory serves.)

Fr last summer held the whole year together and it was the last good time we experienced on this planet, maybe Steve could be announced and bring the world together again.
I've never played Banjo and Kazooie, so I never knew what the big deal was about that golden puzzle piece. My childhood was never filled with console video games, so I'm living my childhood now as I'm exploring the endless possibilities with my Xbox and Switch. I wish I had played Banjo and Kazzoie so I'd know how to feel about them in this game. But I hope these games continue to bring us happiness as they have already had.
i also lived in a childhood of no VG. i lived in a country that has no games. well the only games i use to play was Angry Birds, GTA, Mortal Kombat and FIFA. so. i also never experienced Video Games. that's why Smash Bros changed my life when I got introduced to it. thanks to a random YTP video.
Donkey Kong wasn't created by Rare, they just developed DK's N64 games. Considering how beloved DK64 is, however, it's no surprise that the trailer had them cheering BK on their appearance
While I've not actually played DK64, you just implanted into my head the idea of a DK/Banjo crossover and have caused me to start dreaming. Curse you for making me think of something so amazing!

When I was a child, my sister (older than me) had a party w/ friends in the house. One of her closest friends knew that I had an N64 (with golden eye 007). He wanted to play it so I offered to lend him the game, in exchange he gave me Banjo-Kazooie. This exchange was for a short period of time but even then It was truly worth it... He was a really good guy, beloved by most of the people he knew. Like 25 years later he passed away... and seeing again Banjo-Kazooie brings me memories of those ages. I still come back to see this reveal because it made me really happy that day, after all those years I haven't played Banjo-Kazooie it was like seeing him again. Someday im gonna get them for Smash just to honor him.... Today im playing Banjo-Kazooie on N64 Switch Online and watching this vid really bring me tears or joy. Thanks for that simple gesture of kindness to a kid you barely knew, Daniel 🙏.
I watch it at least once a week. I’ll be dropping my main of four games and using banjo regardless of how good or bad they end up being. ...well that is of course unless a certain possessed doll wilth a blue hat and cape gets in, then banjo will become my second most used character.

@@chrisbeach423well at the time Melee was released, there were initially plans for some third party characters but they were scrapped or Nintendo didn’t want to do contractual licenses at the time. Remember that Smash was still kinda niche, but once Melee took the world by storm, it was natural for Brawl and onwards, they could certainly up the budget knowing the franchise will be a big hit and allow more opportunities to happen
Almost 2 decades of waiting for this very moment... I dont mind if they add 2 more f*cking fire emblem characters or Gooigi, my dream roster is finally complete.
The end gets me every time. Here they show the glorious form of Banjo-Kazooie complete with music and a celebration of the moves from his previous titles. In one last pounce forward we see the pair stumble(Microsoft) and we hold our breath before our heroes spring back to life with reassuring, triumphant poise. It still brings me close to tears to this day.
Banjo and Diddy Kong are actually good mates from way back. Many years ago they worked together to defeat the evil Wizpig by winning a series of tough races.

Before Ultimate was ever announced, I had three different characters I always wanted. A Belmont, Banjo, and Sir Arthur from Ghouls N Ghosts. In a way, we got all three, because Sir Arthur is a Mii costume. Ultimate is pretty much my dream Smash. I’ve played this series ever since it came out on 64 and I’d go to Blockbuster and rent it once a week until my parents caved and bought it.
I am just now playing the first Banjo Kazooie game on my Xbox One. Never got to play it as a kid. I am now seeing why this duo is so beloved and welcomed with open arms into Smash. I’m excited to play as them in Ultimate.
I still remember when I first saw this, I happened to be looking away from the screen for just a second when the jiggy went by, so I assumed it was Funky Kong. I was so blown away
I watch this every now and again because hearing this theme and seeing Banjo and Kazooie in Smash Bros getting the respect they deserve is one of the few things that can make one experience that blissful childhood joy. (Especially in 2020)

Crazy how smash revived an entire company's old IP and characters
When I was a child, my sister (older than me) had a party w/ friends in the house. One of her closest friends knew that I had an N64 (with golden eye 007). He wanted to play it so I offered to lend him the game, in exchange he gave me Banjo-Kazooie. This exchange was for a short period of time but even then It was truly worth it...
He was a really good guy, beloved by most of the people he knew. Like 25 years later he passed away... and seeing again Banjo-Kazooie brings me memories of those ages.
I still come back to see this reveal because it made me really happy that day, after all those years I haven't played Banjo-Kazooie it was like seeing him again. Someday im gonna get them for Smash just to honor him....
Today im playing Banjo-Kazooie on N64 Switch Online and watching this vid really bring me tears or joy.

@@chrisbeach423well at the time Melee was released, there were initially plans for some third party characters but they were scrapped or Nintendo didn’t want to do contractual licenses at the time. Remember that Smash was still kinda niche, but once Melee took the world by storm, it was natural for Brawl and onwards, they could certainly up the budget knowing the franchise will be a big hit and allow more opportunities to happen

The end gets me every time. Here they show the glorious form of Banjo-Kazooie complete with music and a celebration of the moves from his previous titles. In one last pounce forward we see the pair stumble(Microsoft) and we hold our breath before our heroes spring back to life with reassuring, triumphant poise. It still brings me close to tears to this day.

Before Ultimate was ever announced, I had three different characters I always wanted. A Belmont, Banjo, and Sir Arthur from Ghouls N Ghosts. In a way, we got all three, because Sir Arthur is a Mii costume. Ultimate is pretty much my dream Smash. I’ve played this series ever since it came out on 64 and I’d go to Blockbuster and rent it once a week until my parents caved and bought it.
I love how Kazooie flaps her wings to help Banjo regain his balance at the end. Nice touch. They've always got each other's backs.

I am just now playing the first Banjo Kazooie game on my Xbox One. Never got to play it as a kid. I am now seeing why this duo is so beloved and welcomed with open arms into Smash. I’m excited to play as them in Ultimate.

I watch this every now and again because hearing this theme and seeing Banjo and Kazooie in Smash Bros getting the respect they deserve is one of the few things that can make one experience that blissful childhood joy. (Especially in 2020)
