    Due to the immobilizer, spectators have a walking vlog. After a very long time. And it was nice, even though the walk around the camp is not long :-). And you see, a friend's wedding brought you hope. It is super! Good luck and "soon moon" :-)

      I don’t know if you remember me asking you about the bike before I bought it back in March. It’s my first bike and I’m starting to get comfortable on it. I’m 260lbs so the suspension could be better but other than that I love it. I’m glad to have you as a source of info for this bike. That Brooklyn meer up was cool. I grew up in crown heights but live in the Poconos now. Holla if you come this way

    If you leave the key inserted in the bike for longer than X time. Then try and start it. The bike will not start it is a "feature" of the antitheft sytem. To start the bike up you need to take the key out and leave it out for about 15min then it will start up again. Basically Ducati is putting you on a time out for leaving the bike volnerable to theft. lol.... This feature is there to prevent someone from stealing your bike if you happen to leave the key in the ignition and go into a store or something. Hope this helps. IT IS EXTREMLY FRUSTRATING!!!!!

    i saw a comment section of and an individual who was having a similar problem that he dealt with by just removing the immobilizer. downside to doing that is that you wont see range on the start up.( no clue what he meant by that )

    • @ducatinyc
      @ducatinyc  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      range on startup? Hmmm, not sure what he means either. in my case, this was a combo of immobilizer and my fuel wiring thats going into the gastank - one of the wires was loose.

    I have the same moster 620 ie. one thing that ive been doing if it refuses to start is turn off the keys and leave it for a good 5+ seconds before tryin again. the electronics are a little iffy but that normally fixes the issue for me.

    "Soon Moon!" That's a bummer! I hate those intermittent faults - especially ones that can leave you stranded.
    From your video, it looked like the immobilizer light flashed twice before staying on and I think that indicates that the chip inside the key, or the immobiliser antenna, or both, are faulty.
    Do you still have the second black key? If so, it might be worth using that one instead and seeing if that makes any difference. Do you still have the key card with the immobilizer override code? If you've got that, then you can start the bike whether or not the immobilizer's working.

    • @ducatinyc
      @ducatinyc  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The issue was my silly quadlock wireless charger - it seems it cant even be plugged in let alone be one when I start the bike up. I do have all the keys and card but it has not got to that yet.

    • @luddite6239
      @luddite6239 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@richiemeza3525 If there is a problem with the immobiliser circuit, the LED on the dash can give an indication of what's wrong.
      If the LED flashes once, it shows that the connection between the ECU engine and the immobiliser unit in the instrument panel is broken. If the LED flashes twice, it shows that the key, or the immobiliser antenna, or both, are faulty. If the LED flashes three times, it shows that the immobiliser does not recognize the key.

    Hi man, i'v problem with my S4.. The check engine light and the immobilizer comes on after heavy rain or washing. and won't start. This is the second time this problem has come up.
    After drying for 1 day the motorbike started again, it took too long 🙃. This would be a big issue when I'm outside. I think this is a common issue in old Ducatis. Any tips and tricks? Thx!

    • @ducatinyc
      @ducatinyc  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Interesting. I have never come across an issue like that. You can always remove the immobilizer but ECU needs to be flashed. Perhaps water is getting into your dash? Be careful with that, does it steam up ever? I fried a dash like that once.

    Given that it’s an electrical issue re the immobiliser, have you had the bike looked at by an auto electrician? Is it the factory system or an aftermarket one? The only reason re aftermarket systems are notorious for giving trouble. My ex had one on an old BMW she had years ago. It was a total pain in the arse, sometimes the car would start other times nothing. Sure your baby has high mileage on her now, but it doesn’t necessarily mean she can’t be reliable, rather simply systems need to be sorted out.

    • @ducatinyc
      @ducatinyc  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Its a factory, all Ducatis always come with immobilizers. I will flash the ECU and get rid of it, really no need for it on my specific bike.

    Yeah, not a fan of immobilizers. I mean, are you gonna forgoe your bike lock and trust it? Nah, so don't bother adding it to my bike. The way it works on most machines is it has a handshake with the computer and they exchange a passcode. This changes EVERY time you turn that key and engage the ecu, or whatever they set up to talk to that key. Since you can sometimes turn the key and maybe not wake the puter, or maybe they just get out of sync because of cosmic radiation, or maybe your bike hates you that day, or sumfin is loose or worn etc - it might unsync. In which case you either reset it, or ya keep turning that key until it starts when it eventually syncs. God bless electronics.

    • @ducatinyc
      @ducatinyc  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yep, you nailed it. What a frustrating thing. I’ve had a chance to flash the ECU and remove it, but I didn’t do it.
