    Thanks a lot guys, it's very rewarding to follow you for six hours.
    Very sidenotey, I just love the overall flavor and the artwork of Khans, simply great.

    WoW listening to these old videos makes me just stop and recover sometimes, do a headshake "hey guys i found this cool new site called Pa-treon! *proceeds to explain what patreon is*. That and the "you don't have to friend people you just follow and unfollow, none of that facebook crap" in regards to twitter in the M15 video. Puts a smile on my face :P

    1:56:00 Kinda surprised by how down on Taigams Scheming Marshall is. It really lets you set up your next few draws, setting up your curve or tossing junk you don't need at that moment in the late game. Really brings together a deck, and in limited it can make your draws just beat the opponent.

    I have a feeling they missed the fact that the 2 black cards able to make +1/+1 counters how they fit with outlast. I am not saying they are off on the grade, but the not saying Bloodflies automatically gets all the upgrades from your other Abzan creatures is an upside, possibly big and they seemed to only talk about those two creatures in a base black deck.

      @beast0283 10 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yea, I feel it fits Abzhan and Mardu pretty well. I would think it's a very solid card as well. I'd give it a B. But who knows until we see it in action.

    I think that Brave the Sands may actually be playable in an Abzan deck. It grants Outlast creatures the option to battle and activate outlast in a turn as well as have one of your already gigantic Outlast guys block multiples when activating Outlast becomes redundant. In other decks...it is an F. In an Abzan deck with heavy Outlast, I'd want to run one of these.

    I understand why you feel the way you do about Brave the Sands, but what you don't realize is how much better your Outlast cards are with this in play. Now they can attack & then use their Outlast ability, so you don't have to take a turn off with each of your Outlast cards, which also allows you to use Outlast each turn with no drawback.
    Brave the Sands with Outlast is awesome.

    Feed the Pack is frequently half a Time Walk in the deck that wants it. It costs 2, it's instant speed.
    It doesn't go in every deck and it does nothing for you when you're winning except trigger prowess, but it isn't a bad card.
    Giving it a D is a tad harsh, giving it an F is a slap in the face.
    I rated it at C myself. Rating a 2-cost spell that can feasibly win you a game lower than that is a bit silly.

    5:11:24 - Chief of the Scale is actually better and is the more aggressive chief - not Chief of the Edge. The reason is exactly the same that you give for it's own body - his 2/3 body makes him able to block more creatures in the format, so just imagine what this does for your whole team - they all become better at blocking. But oh wait - not just blocking. Now all of your 2/2's can attack into your opponent's 2/2's, because your guys will now be 2/3's, which means your opponent either has to chump, take the damage, or have a trick. So in reality, the defensive bonus lets you become more aggressive, and you protect your creatures and avoid trading at the same time. Chief of the Edge does help creatures trade-up, but you don't protect them and you may not always have good attacks, which might mean that you're less aggressive. Odd, I know.

      Yeah I agree. The power boost only matters if you're small and wide, but your Warriors are often more medium, which makes the toughness boost better for offense.

    1:24:00 Marshall "I don't like that it's just an 0/6. What does that really do?"
    Seriously Marshall? How about it blocks every creature with power 5 or less.
    It costs just 2 mana & the morph is free. This is a good card. It's really that simple.

    I would give Briber's Purse a C+ because you can play it for 0 mana and do the combo deck, OR, you can give your prowess creatures +1/+1

      The problem with bribery is that you'll eventually run out of gems.
      And using it to do nothing but trigger prowess is probably not worth it.

    I kind of wish this was not just one 6 hour video. I was playing on my Roku when it crashed, and their software does not remember where you left off and is soooo sluggish to go back to a spot. I know I'm on the minority not watching this on a PC, but leaving it up on the TV while I feed a newborn and hold him is the way I like to go. So love this, but would love smaller 1ish hour videos on each color vs a 6 hour mega post. Regardless will stay here but wanted to give feedback of impact on non-computer viewing.

    Then Marshall says how sweet Embodiment of Sprint is "cause you can battle with it", despite the fact that it's an 0/3. Well Marshall, you can battle with the 0/6 too & you can morph it & battle with it as a 2/2. You're not making much sense at the moment and I'm kinda shocked.

    gues you were wrong about Monestery Swiftspear.
    idealy is play him turn 1, turn 2 burn spell used as removal or direct damage pumping swiftspear, turn 3 Jeskai Ascendancy pumping swiftspear, turn 4 mantis rider, with backup Stubborn Denial.

  • @lightspeedasH
    @lightspeedasH 10 ปีที่แล้ว

    so does one only draft mono morph? that sounds like what Marshall is saying, Temur don't care about stopping creatures their creatures will stomp all others. Also I hear this alot If you have a creature with so and so power you're doing well, well what if they have a "one mana" kill spell? or a "blowout" combat trick. confuzzling

    • @CiPhEr505
      @CiPhEr505 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      The advantage to creatures with so and so power is as far as combat goes, they are cardboard that punches above their mana cost, so you definitely want more of those versus lesser cards. If they get killed 1 for 1 because your opponent had removal, then they trade that card for your card and that's not unfair, just try to rationalize it that way.
      On the flip side that's also why good removal is primo-pick value in drafts. Nice bomb? 1 for 1. Next!

    Lash of the Whip was lame in Theros block? WHAT? Lash of the Whip was good in Theros block. Don't know what you guys are talking about.

    • @DocHoliday1612
      @DocHoliday1612 10 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They DID explain why they made that conclusion. Theros creatures were often way bigger than X/4, so Lash simply couldn't kill them.

    • @Lightmane
      @Lightmane 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I heard them, but that doesn't change the fact that Lash of the Whip was still a very good card in that format, despite the Bestow mechanic. To say it wasn't good is just dumb. It's good. Simple as that.

    • @DocHoliday1612
      @DocHoliday1612 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      There were many cheaper removal spells (lightning strike dealt one less dmg for three less mana) and more powerful ones even at lower or minimally higher cost (divine verdict, sip of hemlock).
      Lash was ok and playable, but not good.

    • @Lightmane
      @Lightmane 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Completely disagree. Lash was better than Sip, but Sip was pretty good too. Divine Verdict was usually better. Agreed, but not much better. Just slightly. I watched many drafts & it was very clear that Lash of the Whip was good. That's because -4/-4 instant speed for 5 mana will almost always be good in limited. Can't think of a format where it won't be, but yes, because of Bestow I'd take Divine Verdict higher, but DV is white. Lash was possibly the best removal in black.

    • @Lightmane
      @Lightmane 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lets put it this way. LSV thought it was good & from the drafts I watched him play he played it every chance he got. That's good enough for me.

    4:34:09 I really had hoped you were above this, Marshall. How come you claim to support Black Lives Matter and then hurl the n-word at a creature card? I don't care if it was a "soft a", you're not in the position to use it.
