I went by myself dress shopping. I started looking on line for months. Chose 3 dresses that I liked best. Then picked out the one I liked best. Then made a bridal appointment. Showed them the dress. They had just one and it was in my size. I put it on and they helped me. I opened my eyes and took a look in the mirror and immediately started tearing up. It was the dress of my dreams. Kudos to the mom for suggesting both! Usually it's the bride, consultant, or someone else in the entourage trying to placate the person saying "no, I like the other one more." But this time, it was the person who was saying that who suggested the compromise! And it's not like the bride had to compromise to make someone in her entourage happy, since she genuinely loved both. This feels so rare.
The title of this episode is totally inaccurate. It is more like “controlling sister and mother convince the bride to purchase both of their favorite dresses for the bride’s wedding day.”
