@@carolannpacificadam1944 Let's get together with him for drinks on a deck overlooking a lake or the ocean. Ol' Melvin _is_ a hoot and a half, and I'll bet he has some great stories to tell. His disapproving wife can stay home, though.
I did agree with the mom on the first dress. It was gorgeous, but was more a reception dress than a wedding dress. That third dress was absolutely perfect.
i understand mom's reservations on dress 3. that plunging neckline is a bit too much, all i'm looking at is her boobs. she could've tried something just a bit more modest in the front but with an illusion back, that would've looked really pretty on her.
Teh daughter did not like it. she wanted to tick Mom off. She would have only worn that dress for the rehearsal dinner or wedding shower I suspect, if that. I really think she had no interest in it beyond getting a rise out of Mom.
and although I liked the second dress best, it was the daughter getting married not the mom. she needed to bite her tongue. Those two were something else, they loved getting digs at each other,
✨💖✨I just love Dad. He keeps keeps Mom off her high horse. He makes Mom smile. That is the mix of a successful marriage. What a beautiful young bride. I wish for her and her partner a long and loving marriage.
What a delightful dad. He's the best gift a daughter could ever have. BTW, the bride could wear a hessian sack and look divine; she's absolutely stunning. So glad the mom backed her daughter up on the dress in the end. Happy nuptials.
No, the daughter knew that it was her Daddy that had supported her. She mentioned him at the end. She knew that her mother was just mouthing the words. Very sad.
I went by myself to buy my dress and it was the best experience ever! I got to take my time and chose something I loved instead of something other people loved ❤
I love seeing a man who thinks his wife is just about the best thing since sliced bread. Melvin knows his wife, and loves her more than ANYTHING in this world.
The entourage is there to give their honest opinions which may differ from the bride's. Mom is correct to say that the 1st dress doesn't look like it's for a wedding, and everyone is entitled to their opinion. At least she's trying to hold it in - better than a few nasty mothers already.
I think that father is such a sweet man, I adore him. Plus very supportive..good one you dad. Mum is being a mum...good looking woman. Bride's choice of gown..stunning.. Happy life together Australia ❤
Her dad is a sweet angel and I love that he is an advocate for his baby girl. Her mom may have been being honest but sometimes it's okay to bite our tongue if our kiddo is happy. The bride is beautiful and she looked amazing in her dress. It fits her well and made her glow.
Daughter judge mom but it's the same girl that requested a second proposal cause the first one ain't up her standard. Well there is a saying the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
That was exactly my thought.. she wants it her way, living up to her expectations.....just like momma. Wishing something was different and making it how you want it no matter what are two different things.
She's such a beautiful beautiful bride!!! I'm so glad that she had her Daddy with her!!! She would look good in just about anything, but a dress is also about how you want to present yourself!!!
The dad is amazing. I think mum just wants whats best for her daughter but doesnt communicate it, in the right way. The mum might drive the family crazy with her views but when things go wrong, you can bet they are a strong team
She is setting the tone for the marriage! Hubby needs to spend some effort on her for special occasions. She did the right thing. Don't let them take you for granted.
Because maybe she might feel guilty about not bringing her? Also, the mother needs to read the room and give CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. The mother needs to change. Imagine missing out on something big like this because you don’t have a filter. At 7:49 ,Lori said it’s important to the bride to have both parents there to send her off.
Thank God for her dad!! He has probably spent her whole life being her champion! I had tears in my eyes seeing her loving her wedding dress. I’m sure Mom will cry happy tears in the end. Congratulations!
I really don't think the Mom was that bad. I'm more concerned about the bride publicly shaming her husband by saying she required a re-do of the proposal. 🙄
My husband's re-do of his proposal is a joke between us. He didn't propose so much as we simply agreed we were nuts about each other, and wanted to get married. After we went out to get some celebratory champagne, he called his best friend to tell her the news, as he had been calling her almost daily for the past couple of months, updating her on the progress of our courtship. It was _she_ who told him it wasn't official until he got down on one knee, took my hand, and asked the question, which he promptly did. It was really quite sweet.
Loved that this bride knows her worth and somewhat stands her ground like when she had her fiance repropose to her the right way. It sets the bar for the rest of their marriage. She's so stunning too!
Oh god, I can’t get past the whole “I made him do it again” with the proposal situation. I mean yes queen, set the bar high, have expectations, but for me personally that’s so embarrassing to announce publicly. I feel bad for him.
She announced it in a funny manner. I don't see any intention of harming his reputation altogether! In this era we label everything in a certain category. That's the unhealthiest thing of all.
I do see your point about what is actually important in life. Asking her to marry him seems something that needs to be spoken however lol. He was probably so nervous he forgot he never said it because he had rehearsed it in his mind so many times. A do-over proposal though? Girl, no. Just no.
That poor man has been compensation for his wife by trying to defuse her meanness with laughter. This might be the first time she every said someone else is right. Even at the end she still add a mean twist.
I know you can’t really know people from a 30-second clip, but that proposal story sounds like a massive red flag. I will never understand why so many women choose to be with such low-effort men. Proposals don’t have to be extravagant or perfect, and plenty of people have fairly casual proposals. But if someone puts ZERO effort or thought into it (like, he couldn’t even bother to take the ring out of the box??), that doesn’t bode well for how they’ll handle the marriage. Just my opinion.
Good grief - people have all sorts of personalities, Maybe he was uncomfortable acting the cookie cutter proposal scene. It’s not fair to judge someone by how they do the latest fad. I’m 73. No one did the get on your knee thing when I was young - at least no one I know. Does that mean that all marriages are bad until social media 2000’s promoted this elaborate process? Also men are expected to cry at the altar now or else it proves they don’t care about the wedding dress or aren’t emotionally involved. Good grief. Things just get dumber and dumber. These are FADS, okay?
the mom is just like so many others. i spent a lifetime trying to please my mother. but i finally realized there was no pleasing her, ever. my mom wanted to be young again with all the boyfriends and dressing up! i decided i would please myself with my own $$ and never worried again about her opinion!
At 4:11 when Lori said, "I think Mom's been holding back and she's gonna light her azz up" was the rawest, most candid dialogue on this show. That was perfect.
Of course the final decision is the bride's. But I do agree with the mom that the second dress looked the best on her daughter. The third that she picked was sometimes puckering around the waist area, and it gapped wide at the opening on the back.
I suspect the only reason dad is still married to mom is because of his daughter, and not wanting to be away from her while she grew up. Living with mom would not be a picnic.
4:10: Lori:”I think Mama’s holding back, and she’s gonna light her a$$ up!” Except that Daddy got to Mama every time she tried to. And HE did it with gentle but straightforward tact…

I did agree with the mom on the first dress. It was gorgeous, but was more a reception dress than a wedding dress. That third dress was absolutely perfect.
I was thinking they could have put a removable skirt over it for the wedding ceremony, then take it off for the reception.
i understand mom's reservations on dress 3. that plunging neckline is a bit too much, all i'm looking at is her boobs. she could've tried something just a bit more modest in the front but with an illusion back, that would've looked really pretty on her.
Exactly and it looked like a dancing type of dress not a wedding dress.
I would get the 3rd for the ceremony, the 1st for reception. Win win!
Exactly what I was thinking, thank you for saying it. It's a totally cute dress.
honestly the mom wasn't that bad. I actually agreed with her takes alot, she was definitely right about that first dress

I think it’s the mother’s expression that says everything! It’s the “swallowed a lemon” look. I’m so happy to dad back the daughter.
What a delightful dad. He's the best gift a daughter could ever have. BTW, the bride could wear a hessian sack and look divine; she's absolutely stunning. So glad the mom backed her daughter up on the dress in the end. Happy nuptials.
A strong Mommy needs a Gentle Daddy just to level things out 💝 Once daddy spoke , mommy took a step back & actually looked at her Daughter 💖 Beautiful
That’s true love. I can see the dad and the mom accept each other flaws, they both knew they aren’t perfect but yeah love conquers all🥰

The Dad is sweet and funny and the daughter is beautiful and sassy, and the Mom is classy and refined. I loved all three of them!
Kennedy let's not mistake tight and judgemental for "classy".
I do love that she only brought two people dress shopping.
Stunning bride, she could win Miss America.
Yes she is fun
I. Had this idea too😅 so beautiful
The little bride to be is freaking Adorbs!!!!

the bride is so beautiful, very classic beauty 🥰 the parents is just perfect duo and very dynamic 😍

I love the bride's dad's spirit is wonderful. What a gentleman. Lovely bride..and mom done good too 😉😊
Mom…No. support your daughter’s decisions-As long as they’re not harmful…Love and support her. ❤🙏🥰👏
Mom's a bully. At some point it is to butt out of your children's lives and let them make their own decisions, whether you like them or not.

*What a good looking bride and groom. I think my brother was shy the first time he proposed and maybe he was unsure she would say yes* Congrats 💍
It was obvious, to me, just watching them walk in, she’s a daddy’s girl.
