      Isn't this supposed to look like an upscale hotel in space vs raggity motel in space? I know it looks clean like star trek but that's kind of the point.

    • @El_Fabricio
      @El_Fabricio 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@Singuy888 They really should have sticked to established ship (interior) designs. See correlian style (Tantive IV), imperial style or anything orig- cut it. Originality in 2021? Or a bunch of these hotels in such styles across an entire country and charge max. 300 a night for anyone. And doubling for those wanting the "exlusive feel", because nowadays this seems to be the only existing target group in upper office minds.

    • @Singuy888
      @Singuy888 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@El_Fabricio well I hear that there are only 100 rooms, which means staff to guest ratio is very high, hence the high price. The experience wouldn't be good if it actually had thousands of rooms like a real cruise ship, then people are just stacked on top of each other. So when you have 20x less rooms than a cruise ship, you may end up charging like 10x more for a room.

    5 grand to go on a scripted experience, push a few buttons, swing a sword I don't get to keep, and get fleeced for everything. Have they even seen Star Wars? I think they think even after the disaster of the sequel trilogy that if it has the Star Wars brand we will just fork over all our money for crap. I don't think anyone at Disney (except Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau) have a clue what Star Wars is and what the fans want.

    Had a former Imagineer tell me about the galactic diva aspect back in early spring. They told me how many of the missions revolved around getting her to the hair stylist/ performance. Apparently it had caused a huge rift in the department as they are leaning heavily on the Disney princess experience.
    I mean, as bad as it sounded then, seeing it now....... Only contemporary Disney could come up with something so cringe inducing.

The VOID experience was awesome, and if they could have done something like that it would have been more impressive and then they could have different scenarios that they could give you for better repeatability in the future. Truly disappointing. There's no droids or starcruiser "officers" or "crew members" roaming around the hallways like in the movies. The singer or at least backup singers should be holographic which wouldn't be so bad. A game room could play any generic games like Han Solo's holo-game table or a fun turret shooting game simulation as if you're clay pigeon shooting, but in space. Whoever said that they shouldn't get a casino? How cool would that be to learn to play pazaak or dejarik. Not even a bartender would wear a simple humanoid alien costume. Why are they using 80's era green computer screens? Did they find them in a studio backlot somewhere after the WarGames sets were thrown away? While I agree that it looks more Star Trek than Star Wars, it really looks 100% like neither. From the buttons on the control panels, the shape of the control panels, the overall vibe of the "ship", it has the look and feel of a low-budget 80's ear sci-fi movie. It's as if the designers accidentally watched "Starcrash" instead of "Star Wars" before starting their designs. On a more positive note, it was cool that they had Sean Giambrone as the sort-of MC. One last note: the "light sabre training" looks laaaaammmmmmmeeeeeeeee.
