Wow, This is how I taught my older kids over 15 years ago. I love homeschooling ❤ Now they are college graduates and my baby girl will finish her Bachelor’s degree at age 19( I graduated her from our homeschool at 16, she obtained an Associate’s Degree at 17, and most done with her Bachelors in Buiness). My oldest daughter went to law school and our oldest son went to school for Audio Engineering. I’ve been homeschooling for over 7 years and have over 80 Google classroom courses that I’ve created from scratch. I’m teaching my 5 year old parts of speech this summer as he gets ready for 2nd grade. Advantages of homeschooling is to advance our kids as much as they want and if we need to slow it down, we can. My niece I going into her Senior year and will be attending college in the Spring. Thank you for having this for others as a help. I was told years ago to create a course to sell, but I’ve helped so many for free for so long. You’ve inspired me to create a course soon, prayerfully by the Spring. What platform do you use to sell your courses sis? Peace and blessings to you sis🫶🏾
Wow. Wonderful. I am teaching my 3yr old. She is doing very well. She can pick up a book now and read on her own. If it is possible , I would love to check out your course. Thank you.
Teaching is your calling. You were born to do this. She’s not afraid to attempt or say she doesn’t know. And you break it down so that it’s fun to learn. God bless you and all the teachers in the world.

🌟What an excellent, GREAT teacher!!! 🙌🏼🏆💐💝 I homeschooled the first few years, then they went to private school, then eventually public school. Both graduated with honors, college scholarships, successful adults. And kind And now I’m glad I had my children young! 😜 A lot of energy, patience, kindness and redirection is needed!
I'm only 14 weeks pregnant now but I'll be homeschooling for our child and future kids. I loved one of your other videos and I'm really happy you post a lot. Keep up the great work!😊
Im in 8th grade and i missed core skills in my past grades in Language Arts and Math because mentally I wasn't there. I had multiple concussions, my first was at a few weeks / months old and my brain has been spilling out information ever since. How did I pass my grades? No idea, sometimes the stress of what will happen in the future brings back my memory. But thank you for your videos, so simple yet such a big impact. I felt behind and this is really helping me!🎉❤
That was beautifully done! This represents the fantasy most of us hold about what it's like for our littles at school. I hope we're moving back toward smaller local schools so more children can experience this self paced, no interruptions, loving approach to teaching. ❤ Thank you for teaching me so I can do better with my almost 7-year-old! Sadly I can only use free resources at the moment.
How often are they on electronics? Especially short videos? Shorts and social media have decreased our children's attention spans. Read with your child daily and limit screen time. The more time you spend with your child with devices, the more you'll start to see an improvement over time.
Very impressive! I wish I could get a hold of your course but my husband and I are out of work at the moment and can’t pay for it. My daughter in law just had to pull her third grader out of school because of anxiety due to trouble reading. She asked me to tutor her in reading. This would be such a help.
My son has two issues. First, he flips letters. 2nd he has memory issues. By the time he sounds out the last part of the word he forgets the first sound. I don't know what to do.
Pl ease help, I am crying as I am writing this. I homeschooled my twins for a year, and they were grades ahead. I became sick and sent them to school a decision that was necessary, but I regretted it. My kids regressed so much. Now my son constantly wants free time.😢 please, do you teach on Zoom ? I would like to register them.
Kids w adhd and dyslexia can learn w music and dance. Empower them to gain the knowledge and keep learning by using different types of intelligence. Such a kinetic (dancing sports writing drawing painting pottery lego those little beads you can iron together diamond painting etc) and musical intelligence (singing and playing an instrument)
Love, patience, and attention. Brilliant teacher. This is why class size is so important. (Jesus could only handle 12, but we put 32 with every teacher. Hmph.)
I am over here cheering her on like she is my child. I love it !
She’s not just decoding words her comprehension is amazing! I love that she draws pictures like scrambled eggs and a sentence, I am unbidden!
My kids are home schooled by my mother and this video is not only teaching me but makes me more excited to teach my munchkins. Thank you, Akeeba ❤
Your mom is a God sent! ❤
Grandma does homeschool? Are you kidding me? Doesnt she get angry
@@fatihakhan4381 Why would she get angry? She's already an ESL and special eds teacher so it just made sense. It was her idea anyways lol

Absolutely amazing. You are such an amazing Teacher Akeeba Maze. The homeschool community loves and appreciates you.
I'm 67, and this is how we were taught when I was this young.
Yes, the phonics method is the proven best method for teaching kids to read.

Bless you for teaching children. I love the children and they need just a little help sometimes and they will soar.
Your sweetness and patience combined with her eagerness definitely makes this a shining star🌟
You make we wanna pick up lil Nephew early from school and teach him myself!

There are many free resources at the library ❤
Thanks!
So exciting! She knocked it out of the park.
This is an example of why structured literacy is vital in the early years of education. Great job, @Ms. Akeeba Maze!!!🎉
This is so beautiful!! So proud of this little girl
She is SO focused. Is that her personality? I have an almost 8 yr old who can only focus for a few seconds to a few minutes. Great job lady!

You’re an amazing teacher…New subscriber
Love this! Thank you! ❤
I don't even have children but I LOVEE you're channel, thanks algorithm
You’re super awesome for this! Thank you🫶🏽
I would usually tell my children to take their time, split the word apart into syllables, and sound out the words combining the letter sounds.
We used to read as a family. Take turns reading for 5 or 10 minutes each person. The kids enjoy being the center of attention.
Thank you! ❤
❤wow she is amazing👏👏👏👏👏
Amazing work❤
Excellent!
My son has two issues. First, he flips letters. 2nd he has memory issues. By the time he sounds out the last part of the word he forgets the first sound. I don't know what to do.
Teach / tell him the word. Have him revisit the word constantly. It helps with memory.
Divide the word into two parts only.
My son was like that, he was diagnosed with dyslexia. Knowing what he had made teaching him easier. He's at grade level now.
Same @snellieg1027
Get him to also write it down and air write the word...it helps more with memory.
Great video. Thanks for sharing
You're amazing!
Thank you Akeeba!
Beautiful video! love it!
Youre SO awesome❤❤❤❤

Hi, I was wondering if you have any tips for helping a child with dyslexia? My granddaughter is really struggling and is in the 2nd grade.

Hey akeeba maze 😊👋
What qualifications does one need to be able to teach at home or home school their kids?
It depends on your state requirements. You can check out HSLDA to find your state.
What state are you in
Does this work for kids with ADHD and Dyslexia? My son is losing interest and I'm feeling helpless!

How do I help my 10 year old daughter who can read at a grade 6 level, but spells very poorly? She may have a learning disability? I homeschool her.
She needs help with phonemic awareness
Hiya !! are you alina maze family? From mazlee family 🤔
It’s the phone for me, distraction. Do we always need a phone in our hands? But keep up the good work.
