Big tip for anyone who's after gear - if you want an item or upgrade but it's not part of the normal order, just make more $ and buy it; you'll be happier and play more using items you like. Upgrade targeting whichever boss and style you are currently camping first
My favorite item is the Mithril Scimitar. I remember waking up on a brisk March morning and playing the game with my cousin and we grinded so so hard to be able to buy one. We then tried to do Dragon Slayer, which promptly failed because we had absolutely nothing but the scimmy. We spent that day at our Grandma's trying to figure out where we went wrong and it's one of my best memories.
Favorite combat item is d scimmy. The dragon scimitar is definitely the most iconic in my opinion. It's a high fantasy game and the dragon scimitar is a bright red sword with a fantasy look. It was so cool that people even used it as a mouse cursor. It required a quest that many of us didn't bother doing when we were younger. Sure, the abyssal whip is a better weapon in terms of DPS, but it looks plain and there aren't any other whips in the game. You could always just pick flax and buy it. During the early days of RuneScape 2 Classic, scimitars were all the rage, and the dragon scimitar was the ultimate symbol of that era. I truly believe that the dragon scimitar is THE weapon of Runescape.
I know its way out of meta, but Ive been playing since Classic and the Rune 2H was so iconic back then! It still holds a special place in my heart even if its just a high alch now =P
I love the Magic Shortbow (i) because it's a cheap and great solution for strong ranging even viable in late game, I also love the special attack animation !!
My favorite combat item is Ava's accumulator. It is such a creative and interesting device that you cannot go without. You wouldnt believe a backpack with an undead chicken, some twigs and a magnet would be so useful xD. It`s also funny that it has the ability to gather metallic junk and that the magnet is disturbed when you wear metal armour.

I was sitting at about a 32m bank in Jan 2023 and now I'm sitting at just about 690m :') Finally started bossing and am slowly building up to do Raids hopefully soon! Favorite combat item - FIRE cape by far!! I was still *extremely* new to OSRS early last year but my bestie convinced me to play - starting off as a GIM.....HOWEVER I *LOVED* the skilling aspect of it and was terrified of the combat. I worked up the courage to finally go for my fire cape and was shaking the entire time. But he helped me and encouraged me to keep going and I got it on my first try!!! So by far, my most coveted item.
My favourite combat item is the Lightbearer ring. Bringing that and a saradomin godsword to slayer trips makes me use way less prayer pots and extends the trips so much, it's amazing!
Ham Joint is my favourite weapon Ham join was given to me as a gift from a random stranger who then invited me to a clan called Hamily. My heart is soft towards this item since it is the starting point of my osrs growth. The Ham Joint lives in my inventory. I take it where ever I go bossing , skilling, pking, questing. I love the Ham Joint Can you imagine popping this bad boy to get the last hit on a pk. Minds will be blown ahaha
At 19:39 I want to correct you for the mage set. Do no go with swampbark because it does not have the %damage boost that bloodbark has. You should go for bloodbark if you want something cheaper than infinity that is basically the same bonus(each piece is only 1 less than magic attack than infinity).

My favorite combat item is the Osmumten's fang. With it being so reasonably priced it has allowed me and many other newer players to bridge the gap for high level content where a whip wouldn't suffice. Its honestly been such a game changer and is my go to melee weapon for any content I do.

My favorite wep has to be the Saradomin Godsword! It’s been my favorite since I started in 2009. I’ve always really like Saradomin items but the hilt on the Godsword stands out among the rest and the spec is super underrated for what it does. I even like the spec animation it has as well. Keep up the good work Kaoz!
I gotta say my favorite combat item is Bowfa with full crystal. I'm playing OSRS for the first time since I was a kid and have fallen in love with it. The grind you have to do to get to bowfa is long but super worth. If I had to pick a singular item instead, it would be the fire cape. When you get your first fire cape, you feel like you're on top of the world.

For me the combat item with the biggest story behind it was the rune scimitar drop from a fire giant. I was three times droprate for an item that never actually held value before until I started my ironman account. The feeling of this drop sealed the deal for me that I love ironman mode so much because even the items that never held any value, now meant a lot till this day.
Started an Ironman last month. Went to Ourina and safe spotted the warriors. Its like 1/24 there. Got it in 8 kills. Unfortunately the ease of acquiring it and then immediately camping crabs->doing monkey madness means I only ever used it for a couple hours and it was an alch item. Granted, I did 99fm the first week so the supplies from that rocketed me passed early game.
my favorite combat item will allways be the barrelchest anchor, it was peak fashionscape back in the day, and one of my favorite questlines, also was a fun final hitting item and has the nostalgic appeal to me and it just looks cool 8)

I reaaally love the Ivandis Flail. It is such a cool weapon and unique for OSRS. Also, I love the quests where you need it to use. I love the entire theme of the Morytania quests and I LOVE the TOB quest, but I am still new to OSRS and therefore do not have enough gear to complete TOB other than the quest version of it. Would love to begin raiding TOB with some awesome gear!

Ahrims set is my favorite of the barrows sets but barrows is extremely iconic for me. Love that you have a f2p secttion! When i started playing as a kid i didnt have membbership and that gilded armor was a far away dream! Favorite combat item: First i would have said the firecape. I mean all of as dreamed of it as a kid and going through all that waves to finally get the cape, such rewarding moment! But now, thinking about it, my real answear would be Proselyte armour. I know it does not sound as cool a FIRE CAPE, but it is such a good set! i mean this is carrying my slayer for sure! and you can get it so early! Just noticed i wasn't subscribed Love the channel! The scythe of vitur is by far my favorite combat item. I've always had a weak spot for scythes in general as they are cool weapons and now when OSRS has that AND it's really good? That's my longterm goal in the game, get my hands on that and be able to send raids as a melee monster PS. Love the videos, the original gear progression guide helped me out loads when I started playing!

Barrows Gloves are easily my favorite combat item. The culmination of so much time, effort, and progression leading to a single item, more than worth its weight in zenyte. 2nd BiS for all three combat styles.. truly unparalleled versatility and convenience as far as equipment goes. Looks lovely with a lot of different gear too! You really can't beat it.
I came back to RuneScape after almost 15 years and have Finnished every F2P quest and was considering maxing out all F2P. But after whatcinf your original video many times and this new one, I think it’s time to become a member!🎉
Some advice - after you’ve done Perilous Moons quest, the Sulphur Nagua in Neypotzli are probably one of, if not THE best place to train melee stats for a long time. The potions you make in the dungeon are completely free, restore your prayer, and give better combat stat buffs the higher your herblore is. Additionally, ANY successful hitsplat will be a MINIMUM of 5, meaning multi-hit weapons like the Sulphur blades they drop, the glacial temotli, the macuahuitl from blood moon (and even torag’s if it’s all you have) result in incredible xp/hr with minimal investment. Put on gear with prayer gear and strength bonus bring a multi-hit weapon and a dragon dagger, and enjoy 100k+ strength/attack/defense xp/hr. The drops are also solid, you’ll get a lot of chaos runes, death runes, coal, iron ore, and hard clues. Plus some runecrafting xp on the side, and 20 prayer XP for every kill if you have an Ectoplasmator. It’s just stupid good.
My favourite I think is the ruby bolts (e), hearing the sound of the trigger and seeing a big 100 damage is always so satisfying and fun especially if you get 2 or even 3 procs in a row, even if sometimes they trigger at the same time an enemy hits through prayer and give heart attacks as you barely survive the attack, or when you forget a range switch and hitting 2s and 1s right at the end being very comedic
My favorite has been the Abby whip! My first major upgrade when I finally became a member! it’s always been so iconic of a weapon and it really kept me playing the game as I just enjoyed using it
My current favorite is the abyssal dagger. It's an affordable step up from the dragon dagger and abyssal whip for strength/slayer training. And it looks pretty cool!
I think my favorite combat item was the granite maul, that was my chase item growing up (I had small goals that I knew I could achieve). There’s just something magical about swinging a huge hammer and then doing it twice super quick. Coming back to the game again and getting the special attack boost in nightmare zone activates so much dopamine with nonstop swinging it so fast. Iconic.
The Bandos Chestplate, I loved this thing my entire childhood! Never was able to get it, until I played the game as an adult. It will always hold a special place in my heart for that reason!

BowFa is my favorite item. Recently I saw a video of @Mightiee where he grinded the Inferno in full crystal with Bowfa to get his first Infernal Cape. This is a grind I want to start soon as well to get my first Infernal Cape. The BowFa seems the perfect weapon for me to do this grind. Love your video's Kaoz, keep up the good work!

My favorite wep has to be the Saradomin Godsword! It’s been my favorite since I started in 2009.
I’ve always really like Saradomin items but the hilt on the Godsword stands out among the rest and the spec is super underrated for what it does. I even like the spec animation it has as well.

I gotta say my favorite combat item is Bowfa with full crystal. I'm playing OSRS for the first time since I was a kid and have fallen in love with it. The grind you have to do to get to bowfa is long but super worth. If I had to pick a singular item instead, it would be the fire cape. When you get your first fire cape, you feel like you're on top of the world.

My favorite must be the twisted bow, I've never had one but I've lent one from a friend a few times in the past and it's always made me feel like a boss.

For me the combat item with the biggest story behind it was the rune scimitar drop from a fire giant. I was three times droprate for an item that never actually held value before until I started my ironman account. The feeling of this drop sealed the deal for me that I love ironman mode so much because even the items that never held any value, now meant a lot till this day.
Started an Ironman last month. Went to Ourina and safe spotted the warriors. Its like 1/24 there. Got it in 8 kills. Unfortunately the ease of acquiring it and then immediately camping crabs->doing monkey madness means I only ever used it for a couple hours and it was an alch item. Granted, I did 99fm the first week so the supplies from that rocketed me passed early game.
I've been waiting for a guide like this for years! (Yes, I watched the first one) Every grinding leveling game needs a guide like this!
my favorite combat item will allways be the barrelchest anchor, it was peak fashionscape back in the day, and one of my favorite questlines, also was a fun final hitting item and has the nostalgic appeal to me and it just looks cool 8)

Favorite Combat item has to be the Sara Godsword. It has saved so much on supplies during the slayer grind. Very satisfying to watch your health shoot back up after landing that lovely max hit. Happy Birthday Kaoz!

I reaaally love the Ivandis Flail. It is such a cool weapon and unique for OSRS. Also, I love the quests where you need it to use. I love the entire theme of the Morytania quests and I LOVE the TOB quest, but I am still new to OSRS and therefore do not have enough gear to complete TOB other than the quest version of it. Would love to begin raiding TOB with some awesome gear!

The Fire Cape is 100% my favourite item in the game. I remember trying so hard to get it as a Kid but was never good enough to do it, but when I came back to the Game a little over a year ago I was determined to get it and I finally did. Felt so good 😊

Honestly my favorite combat item is abby whip, it was the first ever 'good' members item i got when i first entering members world where some nice fellas lent it to me. Pretty sure you can lent item back then cmiiw

Awesome vid, was looking for the old one and came across this! Fav item has to be Imbued God Capes, the rush I felt as a terrible pvp player but getting my cape was unmatched!

Ahrims set is my favorite of the barrows sets but barrows is extremely iconic for me. I remember wheb guthans was one of the most expensive sets in the gane at 10mil and people would sell it in falador park.
My favorite combat item is either the dragon scimitar or fire cape. Hope it's not cheating to pick 2! Both felt like huge milestones in my first account and I felt like the coolest, least nooby noob when i finally got them. Love your vids, and happy birthday!

First i would have said the firecape. I mean all of as dreamed of it as a kid and going through all that waves to finally get the cape, such rewarding moment!
But now, thinking about it, my real answear would be Proselyte armour. I know it does not sound as cool a FIRE CAPE, but it is such a good set!

The scythe of vitur is by far my favorite combat item. I've always had a weak spot for scythes in general as they are cool weapons and now when OSRS has that AND it's really good? That's my longterm goal in the game, get my hands on that and be able to send raids as a melee monster

Awsome to see this vid after almost finishing quest cape and also get into bossing :) My favourite gear was always the whip, I was grinding so hard back in the day for one and was soo satisfying to get and use. But now I just love the slayer helm (i) because it is so usefull and can be changed appearance wise

My favorite combat item are the barrows gloves for sure. It was such an amazing gear upgrade at the time and a milestone to accomplish. After all these hours into questing and learning more about the game felt like an amazing achievement.🔥🔥 Btw the slayer helmet (i) is my second favorite because 'slayer is arguably the most popular skill in the game' and it just slaps everywhere on task and looks cool (also the cosmetics are fire😏)

I’d say my favorite is the dragon dagger, iconic and versitile. Bring it to raids and slayer tasks. Always in the bank when I need to pull it out. Also well done on this guide, it’s nice to see the entire progression and in detail.
Barrows Gloves are easily my favorite combat item. The culmination of so much time, effort, and progression leading to a single item, more than worth its weight in zenyte. 2nd BiS for all three combat styles.. truly unparalleled versatility and convenience as far as equipment goes. Looks lovely with a lot of different gear too! You really can't beat it.

Some advice - after you’ve done Perilous Moons quest, the Sulphur Nagua in Neypotzli are probably one of, if not THE best place to train melee stats for a long time.
The potions you make in the dungeon are completely free, restore your prayer, and give better combat stat buffs the higher your herblore is. Additionally, ANY successful hitsplat will be a MINIMUM of 5, meaning multi-hit weapons like the Sulphur blades they drop, the glacial temotli, the macuahuitl from blood moon (and even torag’s if it’s all you have) result in incredible xp/hr with minimal investment.
Put on gear with prayer gear and strength bonus bring a multi-hit weapon and a dragon dagger, and enjoy 100k+ strength/attack/defense xp/hr. The drops are also solid, you’ll get a lot of chaos runes, death runes, coal, iron ore, and hard clues. Plus some runecrafting xp on the side, and 20 prayer XP for every kill if you have an Ectoplasmator. It’s just stupid good.

My favourite I think is the ruby bolts (e), hearing the sound of the trigger and seeing a big 100 damage is always so satisfying and fun especially if you get 2 or even 3 procs in a row, even if sometimes they trigger at the same time an enemy hits through prayer and give heart attacks as you barely survive the attack, or when you forget a range switch and hitting 2s and 1s right at the end being very comedic
My favorite has been the Abby whip! My first major upgrade when I finally became a member! it’s always been so iconic of a weapon and it really kept me playing the game as I just enjoyed using it

I think my favorite combat item was the granite maul, that was my chase item growing up (I had small goals that I knew I could achieve).
There’s just something magical about swinging a huge hammer and then doing it twice super quick. Coming back to the game again and getting the special attack boost in nightmare zone activates so much dopamine with nonstop swinging it so fast.

The Bandos Chestplate, I loved this thing my entire childhood! Never was able to get it, until I played the game as an adult. It will always hold a special place in my heart for that reason!
Skills cape/firemaking cape. When I was young I wanted to have a 99 so bad and never got it, so getting my first ever 99 was huge.

Recently I saw a video of @Mightiee where he grinded the Inferno in full crystal with Bowfa to get his first Infernal Cape.
This is a grind I want to start soon as well to get my first Infernal Cape. The BowFa seems the perfect weapon for me to do this grind.

My favourite combat item has got to be the rune platebody. Might mean nothing to most players these days but grinding FTP back in the glory days and finally completing Dragon Slayer to wear it is one of my favourite gaming memories of all time!
Getting this around release was brutal!
SO many people died to elvarg and the surrounding enemies - back then you most likely lost all your items too!

The whip holds a close place in my heart. I remember grinding away at rock crabs to get the stats, however, I had no where near the amount of GP to buy it (picked flax and turnedit to bowstrings in Seers for money)
