I like how Sang-Woo physically changed through the season as well, at the start his hair is slick parted, he’s wearing his glasses and everything buttoned up properly. Throughout he gets increasingly rough looking, hair messy, clothes loose, 5’O clock shadow. Just a nice detail
Sang-Woo’s actor absolutely killed his role. I loved and hated his character all throughout the series.

I was so mad because she was Gi hun's friend too. That was pure rage on his face
I don't know if he was her friend. She was really keeping her distance throughout the whole show. Gi-Hun connected with everyone, it's his nature. She definitely appreciated it. She finally confided in him in this episode and her intentions of what she wanted the money for.
I agree that this brought out the inner rage in Gi-Hun. But he has always been the way he is, even after the last game when he bitched Sangwoo out about pushing the glass maker. Gi-Hun was all emotion, but no rationale in understanding why that happened.
The director says he has no plans for a Season 2 as of now. He says that working on Season 1 was completely exhausting and he would need a large team behind him if he decided to do another Season.
Also, most people say the cop is probably alive because he got shot in the shoulder, but keep in mind, if you fall from a high enough distance into a body of water, you'll die on impact. Consider that he's going to be bleeding profusely from his shoulder and fell on his NECK/back of his head into the water. That already sounds like death, if not severe disorientation at minimum. Not to mention, he' fell of the cliff side of the island, meaning he'd need to swim all the way around just to get to shore. Even then, how would he stop the bleeding from his wound in time or even be able to swim properly? Realistically, he's undoubtedly dead. If he's still alive it would strictly be because of plot armor for Season 2.
if there's no plans for season 2 that ending goes from bad to terrible but i'm sure they'll make a second season

Nah not the most realistic, not if people have an ounce of empathy or conscience. Some folks even fear karma, hell and afterlife. And most of us are soft hearted and feel for fellow humans, even if it's a shitty desperate situation to be in. Most of us realistically just give up.
Sang-woo had a reason, that actually make sense. (Not made the action ok, but explain)
Even at the last moment, he thought about his mom who suffers the most because of his rash actions. He knew that he couldn't beat Gi Hun and he knew that with Sae Byeok alive, they will mostly try to stop the game. That's why he killed Sae Byeok who is already dying, for assurance. In squid game, when he was about to lose, he still thought about the money they'll lose when they stop the game. So he decided to just kill himself to make Gi Hun the winner and ask her to support her mom, for at least make his debt clear and get her mom's store back .

Agent Jun-ho wasnt being sloppy. He had to get rid of that rebreather with the tracking device. And the Front Man was the actor who was Storm Shadow in G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra. He was amazing in that movie, and his fight scenes were next level, specially the one against Snake Eyes.

Actually main character is so lucky that he survived while is naive and "good". In normal world someone would use him earlier and he would die a miserable death as Abdul. @@ninjakiwi2476 Hey, I can't fault you for that. It's a testament to how good the show is in getting to the viewers' heartstrings. They got us emotionally connected to the players, so when we see betrayal or actions like this, we demonize Sangwoo and judge him from the comfort of our homes. To be honest, it's only been a few days of these people together playing the games yet it feels like a lifetime of personal connection. But logically there's no reason for the viewers or even Gi-Hun to care about Saebyeok that much if it weren't a drama.
Imagine, hypothetically, you start an internship with 10 other people in a job that will pay you six figures, but only one of you can be able to get it. They started firing the newbies throughout the week until three remain - you, a childhood best friend, and a girl who you looked out for but is kinda secretive and quiet. She is about to be the one fired within the next few days for messing up bad, so the chances of you and your childhood friend getting employed increases.
Then your best friend decides to write an email directly to the person in charge to get her fired even faster. Was it necessary since she was about to get canned anyway? To him, the extra guarantee only helped him to secure the end goal. And would you feel such guilt and anger from that? For a girl you only knew a few days?
That's how I always viewed the scene. People were so fixated on Sangwoo killing her and thinking he was a monster, but on the slightest off chance she manages to survive long enough...it was going to be her and Gi-Hun against him.
@@Rakerong your analogy is way too different to create any kind of sense of similarity. The difference between life and a job will be leagues away depending on the person. Further, Sang Woo and Gi Hun were not that close. In fact, Gi Hun and Sae Byeok were closer. Gi Hun was heavily against the act of killing; his beliefs. After Sang Woo killed the glass guy, Gi Hun actually seemed to disliked Sang Woo. So it now changes to: You start an internship with 10 other people, you notice an old friend you haven't seen in a long time is there. As the 10 of you compete for the only spot in the job, you notice that your old friend is sabotaging people and framing them to get them fired. As you are heavily against this act, you confront them and end up tearing apart your relationship. On the way, you ended up befriending this other secretive and kind person who you're becoming close friends with. It's even further accentuated in Squid Game due to the fact that they have gone through hell and back, barely surviving these games together. Now, you're in a situation where you dislike your old friend and want your new friend to win with you.
Now honestly, considering only one person could win I do wonder what they were planning to do. I guess they could've ended it with a majority vote. I'd also add Sang Woo was the one being distant by the end, and throughout the story he wasn't a great friend. Didn't mention the cookie game despite realizing what it was and letting Gi Hun pick the umbrella, picking Ali instead of Gi Hun because it'd be more beneficial to him, and now killing Gi Hun's last friend. In the end though, it's down to your beliefs. Do you believe the "logical" thing was the better choice, or the "emotional" one? Everyone is going to be different.
@@ryuta2038 That's fair enough. I took a risk trying to make an analogy but it definitely is more complicated because life and death is always the ultimate extreme. A job can never be comparable, even the most cutthroat one. Both logical and emotional choices are correct depending on the job it is. Sometimes destroying friendships new or old ain't worth it. And sometimes, throwing away opportunities for them is a gamble, too.
We may have to agree to disagree on the bond between Gi-Hun to Sangwoo and Sae-beok. But here are my thoughts on it if you wanted to hear it. He and Sangwoo had a long history together, even if Gi-Hun was more of a homie than Sangwoo was. He was always hyping him up to strangers, and he would regularly visit his mom at the shop and chat with her about him. He was always proud of Sangwoo. And then at the end, Sangwoo reminisces about them as kids and playing games and good times. The games brought out each of their inner emotions, but the final game we see that even Gi-Hun and Sangwoo didn't want any of this.
The honeycomb game I have my own theory on, but I agree that Sangwoo intentionally withheld info to benefit him and not the others. And I believe he intended Gi-Hun to lose that round and get eliminated. But not that he didn't care about him. I think that he wanted Gi-Hun out of the way because it was going to be an emotional obstacle in his way. He could blitz through everyone else without a second thought, but Gi-Hun was his actual friend and he probably hated the idea he came back to the game again. Best way I can call this is a mercy kill. He absolutely did not want Gi-Hun to die, but Sangwoo had his eyes on the prize always, which was the opposite of Gi-Hun. He noticed the opportunity in game 2 to set it up because he recalled the game and what it would be. And he was prepared to sacrifice his friend. So yeah, as a friend, it was a shittiest of moves. But I no doubt know that Sangwoo would have taken care of Gi-Hun's debt and mom just as Gi-Hun did for him.

If there's a season 2. In Ho becomes the Host, Gi Hun becomes the front man, and somehow Jun Ho still alive and got into this again because of his brother.
Or maybe Grandpa still alive and In Ho becomes VIP and so on....
My theory about In Ho becoming the front man.
So he won at 2015, but we don't know his reason why he joined (maybe it's just me who don't).Maybe he got blinded by the money and wanted more. Probably decided to join the game again, maybe because he already know how to play the game. But host and VIP'S won't let him joined again so they made him part of them. That's why I think Gi Hun will become the front man or one of them. In Ho, if he's doing this for 5 years long, he is now an elite enough for him to become VIP or whatever. But since his guilty about his brother, maybe In Ho and Gi Hun will be together to take down all VIPS and this whole Sh*t!
