ROXON PHANTOM S802 (with ROXON PHANTASY S502) [New 2020 ROXON MULTI-TOOLS]

- The Phantom is based on the Phantasy (multi-blade knife). With this model, the lockable bit driver of the Roxon Storm S801S disappears in favor of the blade change. Roxon offers 13 different blades to be purchased separately, including a multifunction blade and a cutter.
All Phantom tools are lockable including the movable arm of the scissors.
The Phantom is well designed, ingenious and robust. Roxon provides an additional set of removable inserts for the wire cutter but must offer it for sale separately. If the multi-tool is heavy and massive, it fits very well in the hand, it is very comfortable.
The problem of the non-closing of the needlenose part of the pliers is probably due to a machining problem on my copy (solved quickly by filing the protrusions), finally I hope ...
Using the Storm S801S sheaths which has an inside pocket, you can put the multi-tool and some blades without their plastic case. This point will need to be corrected by Roxon.

Leatherman multitools usually are overloaded with flathead drivers. This one doesn't even have one!
Great review, good tools! Replaceable blades (on 802)is a good idea:you have some specified blades for different purposes;All main tools is in action; full length blades and good scissors; Replaceable cutters and so on....I like it: this is tool , but no toy!!

I am considering the smaller Roxon scissor/knife combo, (I want to use the scissors for light pruning in the garden). How do Roxon scissors compare with Hanwei? The price is similar, but Roxon is stainless and Hanwei is not. Edit: Also, how about the Schrade ST11?

I bought Roxon s802 and i wonder if there is a bit holder that i can buy and can fit well the s802 Phillips screwdriver. In the comments i read that 801s bit holder fits ok, but in this video i saw that the s802 Phillips screwdriver is much more thinner than s801 Phillips screwdriver (and, in addition, the s801 bit kit Is not sold as stand alone), so i wonder how It can fit good the s801 bit holder.
Other important question: do you have Leatherman ratchet? Will It fit on s802 Phillips screwdriver? If yes, it would be a killer application, but as it is really pricy (it will cost the same price that i paid for S802), i would know in advance if It is worth to buy.

The Phantom is aesthetically successful despite its overweight. I also note the quality of the packaging. The Roxon teams have worked well! :)

The Leatherman wire cutter inserts are quite similar to those of the Phantom: I think it would be enough to file them a little to place them on the Phantom.

J'avais un s801 que j'ai malheureusement perdu.
J'aimais beaucoup cet outil qui me servait pour tt.
Que me conseilleriez vous entre le s801, le 802, et le mini modèle le m2?
Sachant que je l'utilise pour quasiment tt et que j'appréciais particulièrement la pince, la paire de ciseaux, et le tournevis avec embouts.
Le 801 je connais bien.
Le 802 j'hésite à cause du tournevis qui n'a pas les embouts.
Le m2 j'aime l'aspect mini et moins lourd, mais pas de blocant sur le couteau ni de scie.

S801S (meilleure qualité que le S801). En effet, le S802 n'offre pas la possibilité d'utiliser des embouts mais il présente un coupe-câble amovible (avec un jeu de plaquettes offert avec la clé Torx) et la possibilité de changer de lame de couteau.
Does this s802 comes with bitkit set when purchase, sir? Looks like the philip can be fit with an adaptor 4 additional bitkit.
No bit kit for S802. The bit kit of the S801S for example is suitable but it is not sold separately ...
@@diezelle57 top bad, but i hope s802 can use another universal bitkit adaptor. So i can keep my fixed philip screwdriver shiny n unchipped, or i gotta expect the unexpected. No drama for usd 50 EDC :D so sorry 4 asking so many silly questions n so many thankyou 4 ur kindness, sir :D
I just found the bit holder of s801s can perfectly fit on the Phillips screwdriver of s802, very stable and work well. It's awesome. And the Phillips screwdriver of s802 also can use with the the LEATHERMAN removable bit driver set in my test.
Is the socket adaptor that fit these screw drivers universal sized? Can i fit an aftermarket socket adaptor to the s802?
@@b4c2d02 Is the socket adaptor is used with standard 1/4 screw drivers bit. But if you are asking you want to buy another bit holder replace the bit holder of s801s , I don't know if it has a standard. the bit holder of s801s is similar with LEATHERMAN removable bit driver set, but the size is not exactly the same
Im currently planning on buying the s802 and was thinking if i can fit an aftermarket socket adaptor to fit my needs. Hehe thanks for the reply. I assume you also have a leatherman, how does the s802 compare with it durability wise?
@@b4c2d02 hi, i Just bought Roxon s802s. Have you finally found a bit holder with the same socket of 802s Philips screwdriver? The one packed with Roxon 801 is not sold as stand alone.

I do not think that the principle of removable and replaceable blades is very popular. Multi-tool users cannot imagine breaking their blade, needing different types of blades, or not being able to sharpen their worn blade. They are more interested in the ability of a multi-tool to respond to screwing problems, therefore assembly and disassembly.
Je ne pense pas que le principe de lames amovibles et remplaçables connaisse un grand engouement. Les utilisateurs de multi-outils n'imaginent pas casser leur lame, avoir besoin de différents types de lames ou ne pas pouvoir affûter leur lame usée. Nature sounds are really nice. And im saying this in all kindness, it was too much and too loud in this video. Im a huge asmr person, close up textural sounds are nice too, however, especially with the nature noises, it was way too much, way to loud in this video. Maybe layering the nature sounds in at a much lower volume would serve better.
And when you have a mic on such high gain, you should avoid clanking a hard object onto a hard surface. The table top was a bit visually busy, but not too much.
However your actual demonstration of the item was great, well done with communicating so much with so few words.
