I really appreciate that they're at least releasing something for the community to enjoy and potentially build on. As someone who's been around the Gmod community for years now I've seen a decent few projects go under that are in a similar state (IE not done but enough work is there that you could release it unfinished or hand it off to someone else) but just sit and collect dust on the creator's/team's harddrive. (Sometimes with me directly asking them why they won't do anything with it to pass it on if I was closer to the project which happened a few times) It's obviously their choice to do that but it just makes me feel kind of sad all of that work won't be seen and appreciated by the wider community and not just a select few that got to playtest the mod at some point in the past and/or the developer(s) themselves. Given what could have happened, this was definitely one of the best outcomes this particular situation could have had, in my opinion.
IM JUST HOPING SOMEBODY MAKES A FULL ON EXPEREICE FOR FALLOUT 1 IN A NEWER ENGINE, because I have been waiting so long for this project and to see it getting canceled just means I or anyone else wont be able to play the full game of fallout 1 in a 3d realistic environment like fallout vault 1 looked like
The demo was great other than not being voiced. I really hope someone will pick the project back up in the future. I always try not to get my hopes up for these mod projects but I really expected this one to actually get completed
oh and I made this video in like 12 minutes and posted it 20 minutes after the cancelation I got the noticfaction at like 10PM and checked it out knew I had to be the first to make a video on it and I was I posted a video on it like 16-20 minutes after it happened
@@EvanRunner I would heavily recommend looking into Ublock, which if I'm not mistaken should still work on most browsers like chrome unless the situation has changed recently. If the situation has changed for some reason, (Like Google blocking Ublock on chrome which I have heard is not out of the question) I would strongly recommed moving to a browser like Firefox. 👍
I had the same mindset, @@EvanRunner . My compromise was 2 browsers. 1 being chrome with all my official regular stuff and no ad blocker, so youtube would work for school/work stuff, and when I wanted to watch youtube for leisure, Firefox with ublock origin. Just 2 browsers pinned to my taskbar, super easy after a short setup!

This really does sucks because Bethesda said they're never going to make remakes...
tbh i respect them for that, better to not make a remake than make one and butcher it
