    I love how you were able to mimic the icy cold blue lighting and purple laser effects that Cameron used in his films during the future war sequence.
    It’s a shame that the recent films like T3, Salvation, Genisys, and Dark Fate have neglected to use this type of color design and lighting.
    If they did, it would feel more align with Cameron’s universe.
    For some reason the filmmakers under studio Skydance favor gray, orange, or a teal look for the color palette but it doesn’t really suit the Terminator franchise.

    Excellent tracking! I would recommend to use a timed, led flash or some other very bright "strobing" light when firing to simulate the proper illumination that would occur as a result of the muzzle flash

    I want a movie with that exact blue/grey theme. A Future without Mercy. Skynet everywhere and the Resistance just a handfull of People hiding in underground Ruins. Moral is low, nothing to eat, hardly Weapons or Ammo. Militia using normal Cars during Battles and will not succeed in any Fight.

    • @SadAndVengeful

    How did they make the actual plasma weapon effects in T1 and T2? Was it cell animation or CGI?

    • @houstonhelicoptertours1006
      @houstonhelicoptertours1006 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In T1 it was done traditionally with animation cels and an animation stand. In T2 a digital paint system was used, but it's still all drawn frame by frame.

      @@houstonhelicoptertours1006 Hello, sorry it took so long for me to respond. Merry Christmas by the way! This is very interesting. How do you know these things? Is there a link where I could read about this? I'm very curious as I saw the future war sinces from T1 and T2 many times, and I always wondered how were those effects accomplished back in the day. Anyway, thanks for your answer!

      Merry Christmas to you.
      I worked as visual effects artist during the 90s and early 2000s. I don't know about any specific websites, so I'd recommend googling for rotoscoping and compositing techniques in general.
      Some of the basic knowledge comes from film school, but most stuff you pick up as you go along and when it is shared by/with other artists.

  • @andrewjenks6824
    @andrewjenks6824 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The plasma would look more realistic if the light flashed from off camera and lit up the environment. After post, this would've been coming from rifle because it produces light.
