Mr Fiedel, please allow me to thank you on behalf of countless others for crafting such an incredible work of musical genius. Your score enhanced that film immeasurably, completing it and making it perfect. Even now, the soundscapes you created are intense beyond description, conjuring a mood and feel that is just as darkly futuristic and unstoppably powerful as the Terminator itself.
This right here got me some real teary-eyed vicarious feelz. Definitely God-tier praise. One of the most influential songs from my childhood, a big reason I was inspired to write/record/perform in the first place. Thank you Mr. Fiedel! And Hugo, this cover is intense and thank you for sharing this!
walking into a theater in 1984 and seeing this film not knowing anything about it was one of the most unbelievable joys a person could experience in a lifetime
A once in a lifetime experience! Pretty much everything with this movie was perfect. Score, acting, setting, tone even the way it was filmed as a low budged Dark Science-Fiction Thriller mostly filmed at night because they had no permission to film the movie.
Kinda felt the same way watching the new Dune movie in theaters (a couple times), hard to put to words how it felt expiriancing that in a proper theater, all I can say is I wish I could watch it there again...

Big props for keeping it in 13/16! All subsequent versions of the theme are in 6/8, which sounds grander and "more correct", but Fiedel's original recording was in 13/16, and is the only song out there besides very niche projects to use this time signature.

Am I the only one who prefers 1 over T2. The darkness, the suspense, the passion of Kyle and his love for Sarah, and the answer to his question about what Sarah was thinking about in that picture being revealed at the end of the movie was amazing. Love it all the way.
Those two were completely different films, even different genres fcs! While T2 is an action film, T1 is actually a slasher, to the point where you could switch the Terminator with Jason and it wouldn't change by much. Haven't seen the original in about 20 years. Need to break that streak

@@rookybeats I just saw that for the first time. Great movie and theme. Love Kurt Russell. Love The Thing. For great themes I gotta mention Star Wars, Robocop, Jurassic Park, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future....so many out there,
this cover is good but not the best, in some parts it goes very fast, look here on TH-cam for Scotto Ampleford, I assure you that you will also like the cover
T1 theme is so understated and under-rated.. It's an epic 80s anthem that just does not get enough appreciation. What a great cover version, that actually reveals more about the original's brilliance.
Couldn't agree more. It was just so.....raw. And dark. When those drums kick in, gets me every time. Besides the feeling of hopelessness the melody conveys those metallic horn sounds in the background really add an ominous vibe.
100 % ! I am hoping that Cameron will attempt to use this theme in the upcoming movies in some shaper or form... T2 is a great theme but it just does not have that longevity and depth, yet it's the one that has been used as a reference for every Terminator movie released since T2. I was a really hoping they would Brad Fiedel's version in "Genesys" since there were scenes from T1, but didn't happen... disappointing.
Came out of the cinema in 1984 with my head buzzing, just knowing I had seen a masterclass in film making and this tune filling my head. Thank you Jim Cameron for this and many more amazing films.
Ahhh. So refreshing to hear a cover of the awesomely synth-tastic score of Terminator 1 for a change. Most covers people post on youtube are always the slower, orchestrated sound of T2.

В конце концов мы все умрём, а киборги - убийцы будут жить вечно )) Как сказал Т-800 - "I know why you cry now.

I need this played at my funeral as my casket slowly descends to my resting place 6 feet under. And everyone will whisper on each other's ears "this guy was crazy"
+DayWalker97 I dont really like people calling this talent, as it puts off people who could be learning how to do it and puts down the work and time that went into getting to this stage. Talent only gets you so far and hard work will always surpass pure talent. Most if not all of these vidoes on TH-cam have hours and years of practice and study behind them. You dont get to this level of skill just by pure chance. That means that everyone - and I mean literally everyone - who wants to do this is capable of getting there. You just need the patience and some money to get entry-level gear.
To me, if you heard this song playing anywhere, you’d know a T-850 was leveling a gun at the back of your head with the laser dot right on your skull! ⚠️😳
I watched the Terminator over and over from when I was 6 years old. Was an eye opener as a kid. The theme song is legendary and this cover is absolute amazing. Well done. 10/10
Watching John with the machine, it was suddenly so clear. The terminator, would never stop. It would never leave him, and it would never hurt him, never shout at him, or get drunk and hit him, or say it was too busy to spend time with him. It would always be there. And it would die, to protect him. Of all the would-be fathers who came and went over the years, this thing, this machine, was the only one who measured up. In an insane world, it was the sanest choice.

Lmao
Am I the only one who prefers 1 over T2. The darkness, the suspense, the passion of Kyle and his love for Sarah, and the answer to his question about what Sarah was thinking about in that picture being revealed at the end of the movie was amazing. Love it all the way.
First one all the way. The others are good, but one is without a doubt the best!
My thoughts exactly.
Of course is better. The second had the best 90s vibe, but they had big dough by then.
Those two were completely different films, even different genres fcs!
While T2 is an action film, T1 is actually a slasher, to the point where you could switch the Terminator with Jason and it wouldn't change by much.
Haven't seen the original in about 20 years. Need to break that streak
Fantastic! You have done justice to the original! Bravo Sir, Bravo!

James Cameron for the win 👍🏻
this cover is good but not the best, in some parts it goes very fast, look here on TH-cam for Scotto Ampleford, I assure you that you will also like the cover
T1 theme is so understated and under-rated.. It's an epic 80s anthem that just does not get enough appreciation. What a great cover version, that actually reveals more about the original's brilliance.
Thank you David!!
It's so underrated that even the later movies only kept the drums but not the melody line.
this theme is the icon of science fiction (along with blade runner). at least for me 😃
Couldn't agree more.

Yes.

Owen Chase science channel The Alesis Fusion alone is going to set you back about $800 in used condition. Pick up an 88 key version with weighted keys and you're at close to $1k used. Then, the xp-30 is going to cost you about $700 used. The roland drum machine is hard to see but maybe an mc505 (figure $350 used) and lastly the novation 25sl mkii MIDI controller keyboard is going to set you back about $200 used. Add in stands, midi cables, decent cans or monitors, and a mixer and audio cables and you are easily in the. $2350 to $2600 ballpark. I'd budget 2.5k to be safe.

В конце концов мы все умрём, а киборги - убийцы будут жить вечно )) Как сказал Т-800 - "I know why you cry now. 80's music simply cannot be topped
