- We've had Croquettes in Korean bakeries before, and though they're good, they're not great. We found a place in Hapjeong that serves GREAT croquettes, and we're sharing it with you for this week's FAPFAP!

Hey guys, so just a heads up but this shop isn't located at hapjeong anymore but at 디지털미디어시티 aka D.M.C station, exit 9. However, I went to check it out today and the boss told me that after relocating, the menu changed as well so no more croquette :(( it's like a casual bar right now. Hapjeong is still awesome though ^^
Thanks for the info! Tried to find today if it has moved but if they don't even sell the croquettes then why bother :´( all the way from Finland for this! JK ;) luckily Seoul has many food places to offer, this was just on my EYK-bucketlist of food

We have croquettes in Ireland too, My dad makes potato croquettes although they're very time consuming so we usually only have them with Christmas dinner. You just make extra creamy buttery mash with scallions and seasoning then add some flour so it comes together into a dough, then roll it into little stubby tubes and then dipe them in egg and breadcrumbs and deep fry/grill/bake. They are so delicious!

Ggang jang is kinda like boiled down Doenjang(fermented soybean paste) soup, and i would loove to try that one cuz it's very Korean compare to other things!!

I went to this croquette shop last summer, so glad I watched this video and was able to enjoy the delicious food! Honestly it was one of the best meals I ate in Korea and super super cheap!!

in the Netherlands the most famous croqette (or kroket as we say) is a meaty one, mostly beefish goulash with a crispy crust of flour, eggwash and breadcrumbs, soo good!

The croquette is originally from France and these days can be filled with meat, but also sometimes shrimp or other veggies. I really like the shrimp ones we have here in the Netherlands.

P.S.,
I always watch this when I'm hungry, because it inspires me to go into the kitchen and create something new. Today, I'm making stuffed pumpkins. My filling is a homemade apple caramel that I call Apple Candy(yes, the name is THAT creative). What's nice about the recipe is that it calls for heavy cream, but there's always some left over, so I make fresh whipped cream as a final garnish.
My apologies to those who were already hungry, but have no kitchen because you live in a dorm.

I'm not sure if the French have something like this, but I can tell you Italy has something that is called croquettes on the English menu, but in Italian they are called arancini. They originate from Naples and there are many different kinds. It's a popular street food that you get in little paper cones.

I was in Seoul about 2 weeks ago and one of the things that was a must for me to try while in Seoul were those Croquettes, I went to Hapjeong with all my hopes and dreams only to find them crushed... THE SHOP WAS GONE TAT. They replaced it with a Milkshake and Tea shop... Chilly Cha Cha is no more guys... I was so sad... But the rest of the trip was cool and went to some other adresses that were awesome :D Thank you Eat your Kimsushi !

Kristiana Carter I don't know how she puts up with him. He cheats at every game, whines when he loses, even after cheating, and instead of being professional and describing everything like Martina does, he inhales all the food while everyone else is doing their jobs. The amount of times she gives him dirty looks in videos because he's being immature, childish, a piggy or just flat out rude is crazy high.
Skeptical_Spatula why do you think they're still together then? what you see on camera isn't always what's happening in their life. making random jabs at somebody who works hard to produce these videos is actually very rude

You think you'd at least not actively try to ruin your partner's good experiences. He always calls himself a dothraki man warrior, but orders the most frufru things.

Croquette is a universal food. Originated from the French word "croquer" which means crunch.
I cringed every time they tried to pronounce the word croquette. It's not croquet which is a English game you play with hoops, balls and a mallet. Popularized in western society by Alice in Wonderland. The extra te at the end of croquette makes a difference.

I've never even had a European style croquette before, so I can't say I'm not envious of you there. Different from Korean fried chicken, but maybe similar to a crab cake or a "chicken tulip", if you ever played the Cooking Mama games. If you haven't, seriously you need to try them. They're easy to learn, hard to master, and perfect for playing on the go, just like Brain Age Academy was back when the Nintendo DS was new. If you have a 3DS, you'll be able to play all the ones that I know of, including the Crafting, Gardening and Camping Mama spinoff games.

I always go back to this video every once in awhile and today I couldn't stand it anymore, looked up the recipe for croquettes and made some home-made style -- simple with potatoes, spring onion -- and it was delicious as hell while enjoying the video as I usually do. ahh finally

Croquettes from France taste so amazing! I absolutely loved them when I was in France.
the Warning notice has this like happy music/rusted metal/bloody coloured font theme that makes me feel like I'm playing a dead rising game and I love it.
For anyone who lives In the uk and has tried pumpkin korroke from yosushi, these croquettes are very very similar for those wondering what to compare to :) #craving
if vegetarian wants to eat at my country, they should visit any temple at lunch time. They usually serve from noodle to rice that totally vegetarian food. what amazing thing from temple food is they serve the free food. However, temple lunch time usually start from 11.30 to 2.00 o'clock. so check out there while you are staying Korea.
