WhenI first saw this video, I would only eat pepperoni on my pizza or just cheese. After this video, for some reason, i felt like I could eat anything on my pizza, and I started eating veggies and stuff on my pizza. So, I guess this video was life changing...
Rewatching this three years later and I realize that Martina unexpectedly predicted the future of a boy band having a maknae named Cookie. :D Bangtan - Golden Maknae: Jungkook = Kookie
I've watched a bunch of your episodes over and over, and I still get that happy feeling inside. You two have this really great quality of being able to make people feel better, so thank you for brightening my days
The one thing I like about this is the fact that it doesn't have a thick, greasy layer of cheese on top that covers all the ingredients and flops off the pizza as soon as you lift a slice up.
The Chinese food you have eaten is not available in China. Foods change as they spread on. And of course you can have Italian styled, New York styled, Chicago styled pizza in Korea.
you can create your own version you like as long as you have your base which is cheese and pizza dough. Make a twist other than the usual boring flavor. Go around the world and you'll see them. Insulting or belittling them like that is wrong. I my self tried many kinds of pizzas already. Go to different pizza restaurants
"Pizza is just dough with stuff on it, right? WE CAN DO DOUGH WITH STUFF ON IT" but seriously though you can totally get "normal" styled pizza in Korea.
andrew T I saw a video clip that descendant of General Tso (from General Tso's chicken) did not recognize the dish, asking what it that. Yeah, nothing's absolute. Exception exists.
andrew T You're wrong. Peasants couldn't afford kimchi because salt was too expensive. Kimchi was considered a luxury. Also, just because Korean pizza is not like the pizza in your country doesn't mean it isn't pizza. The flavors are changed to suit the tastes of people in Korea.
Actually, my priest is korean and he had korean pizza, said it was pretty sweet. And when he went to the U.S for the first time, he was overwhelmed by how different the pizzas was. I guess he likes sweet mounds of sweet pizza which I can't even imagine. I want my pizzas to be crispy, a slight crunch and yummy toppings.
YOU TWO ARE SO CUTE TOGETHER... I HAVE JUST BECOME YOUR BIGGEST FAN!!! MY MOTHER IS HALF KOREAN AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A CHANCE TO LEARN OR EAT FOOD FROM MY OTHER HALF OF MY RACE. THANK YOU GUYS FOR ALL YOUR VIDEOS I HOPE I GET TO VISIT THERE ONE DAY!!
+Shanita Stokes im half korean too on my mothers side, korean food is absolutely amazing with a lot of flavors i hope you get to visit korea someday and enjoy all the food they have to offer
+Shanita Stokes check out Maangchi's youtube channel. She makes authentic Korean food so approachable. I've made a lot of her recipes with raving success.
callum traynor this video was uplaoded before BTS debuted. As Martina said where they would call members cookie maknae and so. My point is the jongkooks nickname is cookie and he is the maknae = cookie maknae 😌all I was saying it that bighit is stalking Martina (as a joke)
My mum and I love having our pizza have lots of toppings, it's amazing how so many flavours can compliment each other XD (tastes good only if done right lol)
Landon Griffin can you please explain the difference and when to use them cause I seriously have no idea....everyone I know uses 'mum' so I get confused with 'mom' :/
I think that I have happened upon you awesome people late in the game, but how do you not (if not already) have a channel on the food network or cooking channel?!!!! Love your show!!!!!!!!
In the States, our public school systems serve pizza with a side of corn. Why? Because they have to serve a vegetable with each meal (even though corn is actually a starch...)
It may just be my family/associates, but we have corn on pizza most of the time, excepting red meat ones. I have broccoli too, but I admit that is more unusual.
It is popular, a lot of people do like corn on their pizza. I literally only have chicken and sweet corn pizza😂 but yes it is a topping but not everyone enjoys it like it's all personal preference
You don't know if they have Pizza Hut or other chains of Pizza... Pizza Hut and Telepizza are the only ones I'm familiar with. They gotta have Pizza Hut... Right?
***** They do have Pizza Hut, but the only thing is that if you're used to savory pizza, Korean pizza is going to be... not that appetizing. It's really sugary for some reason, a lot of toppings are sweet. Corn and sweet potato are the biggest sinner from what I remember, but I think even the dough and cheese was kinda sweet. I never could get over it, and as soon as I came back to the US I'd eat pizza.
yakurimoe Well, that sucks. I don't particularly like sweet pizza... Still if I were to live in Korea, I'd eat local food, but one could definitely crave for pizza, burgers and such once in a while.
This was hilarious to watch. I love how Simon tries to be brutally honest about his disappointment with the pizza and Martina tries to be polite about her opinion. I can't stop laughing. :D
I have been watching your videos since midnight and its now 4 am trying to rend a video . You guys are so entertaining , its inspiring ! I love your videos
I've tried both korean and american pizza and I'd say I love korean pizza better. I'm not a fan of Mr. Pizza. I like Pizza Hut better, but the Korean Pizza Hut franchise has different pizza and the sweet potato and cheese crust is my fav (classic korean pizza crust) and also the new "creamchesse bite crust" MMMMMM delicious!
It's like almost midnight here and I've been having a bad day mentally to a point I'm not gonna sleep, so I'm distracting myself with your pizza videos
That got me thinking. I live in the American Midwest, which produces slightly less than half of the world's corn. I can't even drink a coke without ingesting corn, but it's absent from our pizza? That's creepy... Then I remembered that Chicago deep dish pizzas use cornmeal in their crusts... Mystery solved.
I tried this a couple weeks ago! We had the Potato Gold on Egg Tart crust and it was amazing! So much so, that we came back later that week to have a half/half of Potato Gold and Shrimp Gold on Hashbrown crust. The Potato Gold has a big chunk of "bacon" on it and the white sauce is more of a mayo. Shrimp Golf definitely still had the yogurt sauce but it had a strong lemon flavor. The Egg Tart crust was way better than the Hashbrown crust, which was made out of sweet potato rather than a regular potato. TLDR; Even though Simon and Martina didn't like their pizza, we tried it and loved it so I say you try some if you get the chance cause you never know!
Pizza is so much different in Korea than America! I've lived in Korea since I was born and its true how Koreans have very different taste from other people. For example, Koreans likes foods that have tastes that cancels out each other. Like something spicy and something like cheese. Honestly I love sweet potato pizza and cream cheese pizza but it all depends on my toppings. Sweet potato pizza is slightly sweet and if you eat it together with the pie crust= perfection. Cream cheese pizza all depends on the place your getting it at. Like Pizza Hut is #1 for me but other people differ from time to time. Definitely a must try but your never obligated to like it.
can you do a video over korean night market? i know in taiwan night market is big and many ppl go there, is it the same for korea? what is the dif. and sim.? do you like going there?
2:18 The 'Montand 4ranghea' pizza is sort of a play of words; in Korean, one way to say 'four' is "Sa." As some may know, "I love you" in korean is pronounced as "Saranghae," which translates to "4ranghae". I suppose that the way that they romanized the word also may have thrown you off, so as to say "four rang hee-ah" instead of "Saranghae".
~ China has some pretty special pizzas too. My Chinese mother-in-law once bought me a curry chicken pizza, a tuna and mayo pizza, and some other strange combination of cheese, corn, pineapple and other fruit. I've gotta say though, all of them were delicious! They were about half the size of what I'm used to, and the dough was oily, soft and gooey. I dunno, I think there's a lot of leeway when it comes to pizza. Believe it or not, the worst pizza I've ever had was in Rome -_- Oh! I should also add, the Chinese pizzas had mayo on them and came with sealed packets of tomato sauce plus a plastic fork. Odd.
i love all the descriptions that come with the pizzas; secret garden - you will feel as if you're sitting on a terrace enjoying a sweet taste with leisure LOL! pizzas in Australia need this kind of advertising :P
younha kim When I went to Italy, I got pizza twice: Once in Rome and once in Venice. Maybe I didn't get the best it had to offer, but it really wasn't anything special to me. I prefer the American hand tossed much more.
MenDgaming Sorry for responding in such a late manner, but I used to live in Italy. I noticed that they try to give tourist pizzas that are very horrible, and they rip you off. If you had gone to one in a town called Vicenza (It was right by my house) It would have been worth while. But places like Venice, Rome, and especially Florence, they tried to give us store bought pizza that was half cooked. We got sick from it. I'm sorry that you didn't have a good experience.
corn used to be on something called the country feast pizza at pizza hut in england. a lot of people got used to eating corn on pizza and so they might still get it as an extra topping on pizza (because it's not a standard topping at pizza hut anymore) but no italian restaurant or respectable pizza place these days has corn as a standard topping.

I don't care how many times I watch this! Every time Simon says, "Gonorra pizza" I die!!
°°Gonorrhea
The one thing I like about this is the fact that it doesn't have a thick, greasy layer of cheese on top that covers all the ingredients and flops off the pizza as soon as you lift a slice up.
i think koreans are confused about what a pizza is. its like they just take meals and mix them up and slap them on dough
The Chinese food you have eaten is not available in China. Foods change as they spread on. And of course you can have Italian styled, New York styled, Chicago styled pizza in Korea.

Search how to make Korean food, it's not very hard (some is more challenging though)! You can do it!

I'm watching this in 2015 and realizing this video is old because Simon doesn't have a beard. Or mustache.

I think that I have happened upon you awesome people late in the game, but how do you not (if not already) have a channel on the food network or cooking channel?!!!! Love your show!!!!!!!!
Or the Travel Channel!
Did I just get a Korean or Japanese commercial before watching this?
How fitting considering what I'm watching.
4rang = 사랑 = love
You mean sarang?
*EDIT:* Ohhh, 4 as in 사
1:42 had me dying out in laughter. XD
Corn pizza isn't really popular in England. We have it as a topping, but it's not as popular as pepperoni or something
+Jessica Sebastião thank you, I needed someone to say this :P
***** lmao 😂
In the States, our public school systems serve pizza with a side of corn. Why? Because they have to serve a vegetable with each meal (even though corn is actually a starch...)

i watch this video over and over. ....because the pizza looks sooo freekin good >< ahhhh i want some XD happy 500k!
And this is why I will never ever move to Korea. Can't live without Pizza. No way, Josay.
You don't know if they have Pizza Hut or other chains of Pizza... Pizza Hut and Telepizza are the only ones I'm familiar with.

btw I meant even Pizza Hut and other international chains will also be sweet.
yakurimoe I understood that.
yakurimoe Well, that sucks. I don't particularly like sweet pizza... Still if I were to live in Korea, I'd eat local food, but one could definitely crave for pizza, burgers and such once in a while.
No matter how many times I watch this, the live dough part makes me laugh every time. 😂😂😂
This was hilarious to watch. I love how Simon tries to be brutally honest about his disappointment with the pizza and Martina tries to be polite about her opinion. I can't stop laughing. :D
I love your haircut here Martina! Short hair suits you great
all that actually looks quite tasty :D
kookie is the maknae....of BTS
No drinks to wash the food down? Haha eating without a drink nearby stresses me
The pizza that's named montand 4ranghea is supposed to be pronounced as saranghae. Cause 4 is sa so it's like a play on words
Sweet mercy. Those all look pretty damn good.
Is it odd that whenever I watch this video, I want to eat the pizzas and I think I would like them? XD
I've eaten some good pizza in Korea. I guess it depends where you go and what toppings you get.
The e in eyk at the corner made it look like the person in the background had a tail. xD
I have been watching your videos since midnight and its now 4 am trying to rend a video . You guys are so entertaining , its inspiring ! I love your videos
Lol there's a Mr. Pizza next to my house in L.A. And btw, Gold Sweet Potato crust is delicious
I love the names of the pizza, if i went to a place and they have something called secret garden, I'm like,"Give me that shit!"
Me too LOL, that was my first ever k drama and oh gosh, all my feels were in motion during this show lol
I've tried both korean and american pizza and I'd say I love korean pizza better. I'm not a fan of Mr. Pizza. Then I remembered that Chicago deep dish pizzas use cornmeal in their crusts... Mystery solved.
I love corn on pizza! Try BBQ chicken pizza with corn and red peppers it's AMAZING!! It may be because I'm from England.
Corn is popular pizza "ingredient" in Eastern European countries.
i never heard of this... will try now ty
Just pair it with something hot, otherwise you maybe won't like it:)
Love shrimp, tomatoes and spinach on my pizza! Yummy with a drizzle of honey, yep that sounds weird but gosh it's good :)
12 years later and I finally realize that "4rangea" is meant to mean "Saranghae"
Please never delete these. You have the cultural relevance of Rick Steves or Huell Howser 💘

Thank you for the great compliment! :D
In israel sweet corn topping is pretty popular, also mashrooms, green or black olives.
YAS israelies everywhere
Sasha V true and it tastes perfectly fine! I wish more pizza places in North America would have corn as a topping option..
tbh was a little disappointed with them not getting the sweet potato dough hahaha
Is it rude to not finish you food in Korea? Since you guys ate so much I was surprised when you said it was gross.
That's how much they dislike the pizza they had to play rock paper scissors
True! He was also raised in Thailand and New Zealand as well.^^
So something that is so disgusting, they surely got the aesthetics correct. It is deceptively mouth-watering to look at.
lol and then they put themselves through that again 3 years later
I liked Oh My Rib, but it's not my favorite... Korean Pizza is okay sometimes. My favorite is actually sweet pumpkin pizza.

that live dough is hot
I am not good with puns
~ China has some pretty special pizzas too. My Chinese mother-in-law once bought me a curry chicken pizza, a tuna and mayo pizza, and some other strange combination of cheese, corn, pineapple and other fruit. I've gotta say though, all of them were delicious! They were about half the size of what I'm used to, and the dough was oily, soft and gooey.
I dunno, I think there's a lot of leeway when it comes to pizza. Believe it or not, the worst pizza I've ever had was in Rome -_-
Oh! I should also add, the Chinese pizzas had mayo on them and came with sealed packets of tomato sauce plus a plastic fork. Odd.
i love all the descriptions that come with the pizzas; secret garden - you will feel as if you're sitting on a terrace enjoying a sweet taste with leisure LOL! pizzas in Australia need this kind of advertising :P
omg fresh faced simon!!!! This is so weird!!!!
Nichkhun was born in USA
I had pizza in Korea before. . All I gotta say better then america only because they add more toppings and it's more flavorful
You've never been to any major city's little Italy before, have you?
thelonelyfry . . . Nope but I bet it's better in Italy.
It depends where you go. Some places have pizza that is just like Italy.
younha kim When I went to Italy, I got pizza twice: Once in Rome and once in Venice. Maybe I didn't get the best it had to offer, but it really wasn't anything special to me. I prefer the American hand tossed much more.

When she said they all can be a member of a boy band and they put cookie as the maknae I thought of JUNKOOKIE from bts
corn used to be on something called the country feast pizza at pizza hut in england. a lot of people got used to eating corn on pizza and so they might still get it as an extra topping on pizza (because it's not a standard topping at pizza hut anymore) but no italian restaurant or respectable pizza place these days has corn as a standard topping.
when you want pizzza you go to italy and then you find a litle family run place along a road and have the best pizza in your life......

Sorry I'm very close minded in terms of pizzas ^^
Don't blame you. Some things are not meant to be screwed with. Cuisine is one of them. And of course the Pizza.
My pizza needs to have a lot of cheese on it..too much puree and I just don't like it at all ._.
i think korean pizza tastes better than north american. Its lighter and has more flavour whereas canadian pizza is greasy and cheesier which is also good

Best pizza I ever had was in Connecticut at a place called Homtown Pizza. They make the best eggplant, ricotta cheese, and sausage pizza I have ever had.
