Lovely to see what you've been adding to your stash. Will go and watch your interview with Yvette shortly. Thanks for sharing details of your time at the Make fabric & pattern swap, I would have loved to have been there but I really don't need to add to my stash. I'm now trying to resist buying the white with green dobby fabric from the Fabric Beehive - it's gorgeous. Hope you find some time to sew :)
Great vlog as always. I really enjoyed your chat with Yvette. Love double gauze just made some pyjama shorts with it gosh you buy a lot of fabric, enjoy your sewing ❤❤
Brilliant video Helen. Amazing fabrics. Some lovely patterns. I love all your plans hope you get them done, though life has a habit of taking over doesn't it. Looking forward to your next video. Love the pictures from your son's African Adventure. Thank you🎉
I think that Friday Pattern Co Saturday Skirt would be great for the NY skyline fabric - it would work well with the skyline at the bottom. Great code, thank you!
Thanks for the mention 😍 It was lovely to meet up with you again and have a proper chat, will have to arrange another one. It was a great evening, I’m really happy with everything I bought home even though it was more than I planned. I hope it’s given you some inspiration to relight your sewjo. I love that skyline fabric, it would look great as a window blind if it’s not something you like the feel of to wear. Or as you said cushions… maybe long thin ones and a matching lampshade if you use them. I made some for bedside lamps and the kits are really good.
Lots of lovely fabric Helen, thanks for sharing. I have the dog and anchor fabric which I bought from the fabric boutique when I saw it on their stories and I intend to make a shirt for my husband. 🧶🌈🍓💙
All those lovely fabrics and no sewjo?😮😢. Hope it returns soon. So lovely to see you back- you have been missed!! The destash party- what a wonderful idea. Glad you enjoyed it and I look forward to seeing all your makes. 😊. Happy Sewing. Lynne. P.S - you are rightly proud of your son. An unforgettable experience for him.
@@SewMyTime thanks Lynne, I am hoping to actually cut something out soon ❤️ Agree the Destash party was great, I am hoping Lizzy will do it again sometime. Thanks for watching and commenting ☺️❤️
Nice to see you back. Your jacquard fabric would be perfect for the new free skirt pattern called Grenadine by Maison Fauve. I lengthened mine 2” and it still came in using under a meter of fabric. It has a fun interesting construction, too.
For your expensive fabric you just need a simple Channel type jacket . I have a lovely pattern but it is for a knit fabric but it shows you the right shape for this design. Pattern is by jalie. Called Charlotte it’s a Canadian company but if you ever make this pattern check the size of the sleeves around your biceps because I am slim and yet the sleeve is a fraction snug !! Good luck. X
I've got that green leopard print cotton twill. I keep meaning to get it sewn up into a pinafore, but it hasn’t happened yet! Trousers sound like a great option.
@@jeanettespracklen5777 thanks for the idea, it’s been suggested to use as a lining of a coat which I am probably going to do but appreciate another suggestion in case it doesn’t work out ☺️❤️
I miss Joanns and Hobby Lobby to be fair, but I feel your pain, it’s a little harder ordering not from UK now we aren’t in the EU anymore 😕 Thanks for watching ☺️❤️
Do you find you need to size down when you sew with double gauze, or did you use your regular size for that Donny Shirt? I would like to try one in double gauze.
@@tammymasson2343 I have to say I didn’t, I just made my regular size and worked perfectly ☺️ I can highly recommend making one (or more) in double gauze ❤️

The skyline would look fabulous as the lining in a coat

the Panel, you could get some fleece and add it to the back, and then make a throw for a bed or a chair.
