The MKZ is undoubtedly a great car, especially being stock! However while lots of older BMWs have quite a few reliability issues the current F series ones with the N55 actually hold up quite well, haven’t really had a single problem with it so far. Thanks for checking out our video :)

Nice video.. My wifes has had 2013 3.7 MKZ for 4 years now and we love it. My mom just bought a 2020 MKZ 3.0 Fwd this past weekend and that sucker will roll out. Sleeper cars and so underappreciated.

the mkz awd gaps the 335i terribly if it’s stock. i beat scat packs in mine on rolls as well. but the guy in this video who’s driving the lincoln has no idea what he’s doing, he doesn’t even brake boost
@@Raint1 as someone with the same car but with awd, the poor reaction time you're referring to is probably the result of huge throttle delay. Assuming this Lincoln doesn't have one yet either, I plan on getting a pedal commander for mine soon.
The temperature and tires were not ideal for either car, couldn’t launch as hard as we’d have liked to and still spun even with starting at lower RPMs. Maybe we’ll give another run now that it has warmed up a bit haha.
The entire point of letting the Lincoln do the countdown after the first race was to give him the advantage at the start. RWD just tends to launch better than FWD in most situations, we both held around 1500-2000 RPM to launch both cars at the limit of the tires in the cold without slipping :). As mentioned it’s a stock car vs a modified one, stock to stock they’d definitely be neck and neck. As for the AWD model it both makes more power and is AWD so there’s no denying it would beat the bimmer haha :D
40 roll is where the MKZ shines, it's a much heavier car and takes a minute for turbos to kick in but once they do thing rips hard. With my 2019 MKZ 3.0T AWD at 40mph, I blink and am doing 100
not sure whats up with the mkz maybe driver too but it should of been sude by or a little better since most of them run 13.4-13.8 range depending on weather, driver, etc...and 1/4 mph at 104-106 is the norm....they do suffer from small inter cooler and get heat soaked easily/quickly, also turning traction control off and foot braking is a must, rolls need the proper gear to start with around 4000 rpm
Awe dog i aint git a fancy new edge with the turbos i just got a awd 08 mkz just a 3.5 6cyl but 265 whp at 2600lbs is a beautiful balance i eat just about anything that comes up on me unless issa domestic then i dont even try lmao

Any tips for the 3.7L V6 FWD 2013 model Lincoln? And is it bad to use it in sport mode as my daily driver and primarily paddle shift ? Some downshifting here and there on the freeway and near intersections lol?
great to see a FWD running. Not much content on the FWD MKZ out there. Thanks for posting. I am surprised how well the MKZ did from a roll against that Modded F30. The AWD would have won from a dig for sure but so hard to get a good launch with the FWD.
They were definitely some good runs, I was also surprised how well it did on the rolls. The MKZ also gets me pretty much every time with rolls at higher speeds as well. We have more content for the MKZ coming soon! Check out our new video on a BOV install :D
Mkz needs a better operator. Not even being a hater… but those digs didn’t even show a good comparison. Those launches were no bueno.. just being honest. Great video tho for sure. Need more of them!!
Quick question about the cooling seats. Is the back of the seats cooling as well or just the bottom part ? Thanks. I.m planning to buy one. 2017 awd 3.0 t fully optional. Any problems so far? Thanks. And i live in canada here we have 87 gas and 91 gas. Do you know if in owners manual say which gas is the lowest you can use ? Thanks
Apparently this one is a front drive version, which is already cut to 350hp, instead of the 400hp you get in the AWD car. But yeah, I agree this thing is not even launching on that level. I think the computer is cutting the power in 1st gear, or the traction control is way too aggressive.
goatmonkey2112 it was pretty cold out and neither of us had the best tires for a drag racing scenario (winter/all season) so both of us spun some as I think you can hear in the video. Tried with and without traction control for the dig races with same results. As for the roll races the first one the Lincoln was using paddle shifting and had a lower gear selected to begin the race while the bimmer was in standard drive. On the second roll race those rolls were flipped, bimmer paddle shifting and Lincoln fully automatic. I have different results. I use 91 octane gas as that is all I can get here in California. On 3 different runs I clocked my 2017 3.0 0-60 4.9 sec. Maybe your test car had issues.

I both love and hate my Revel Ultima system, agreed on a great sounding song it's so easy to hit boost and drive fast.
Lincoln derive is terrible driver 3 honks and you go on the 3 rd honk not 10 minutes later

Cee Lars Jr. Not too familiar with the 3.7s but for driving in sport mode it shouldn’t be a problem, maybe just a bit worse gas mileage haha.
Driving around in sport won't hurt anything but it would get annoying real quick. Because it holds gears longer, shifts harder and downshifts more.
This isn’t even a race lol. The Lincoln not even trying at all.

It looks like the Lincoln cuts power in first gear. They are pretty even in the roll races.
On my 2013 3.7l v6 I launch in 2nd it’s 10,000 times better. Even normal takeoff from a red light is smoother in 2nd while In sport mode
