I've not got this particular screen but I've had two "Ksw" Android ones (the better of all the custom Androids) and my experience is that the in-built DSP is a bit crap. Audio is a bit less quality, specifically the lows and highs, and the volume is less than if you were to play through AUX from your phone - so I've always ran the unit's audio through USB to an external DAC and it's noticeably better (I use the "Creative Sound Blaster G3").
Hey, since the Screen is an Android device, wouldn't it be possible to connect it via Bluetooth to the OEM Idrive instead of using AUX? So when you play music via Spotify it should be the same audio quality like connecting your Smartphone via Bluetooth to iDrive.
had something similar on my F34. Hated it, switched back to OEM screen and added a cheap MMI box. All original, looks a lot better original, shapes flow and complement each other nicely. It's matter of preference in the end.

From my experience with using aftermarket android head units for BMWs (e and f chassis), these are excellent WHEN THEY WORK. They can be more temperamental than my ex and I ended up removing mine all together as it was not a reliable experience in the slightest.
When I upgraded my first Android panel to my current PEMP one, I didn’t have to swap out the harness (the connector on the panel looks the same across several “different” brands). I wonder if it is the same for this one.
A massive NO from me. This thing looks ridiculously bad. I'll just stick with my 8.8 inch display and a hidden MMI unit for wireless AA. It looks stock and does the job perfectly fine.
I know this is the E90/92 version, but I was thinking of getting the 14.9 inch. But the one I need is the one that replaces the stock nav, and it seems to tilt down a lil bit.
