    I love this video because it shows the issues most houses have when they are not squared. I hate watching videos where everything is square and they make it seem to simple.

    Thats a beautiful property! It must be an honor to be a part of that coming together. You're truly building someone's dream one board at a time.

    Great video. Pro-tip...instead of banking on the two ends of a board landing on a rafter/joist, you can always tack on a 2x4 to the side of the rafter/joist to give you additional support/surface when butting two boards up to each other. 😏

    Hank help me … understand how oil/maintain air compressor ty idk this guess I should’ve read the instructions

    • @windsorandwillow
      @windsorandwillow  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The compressor, if equipped, should have an oil fill cap. Simply add compressor oil from harbor freight or any big box store. Also, make sure you drain the water from the compressor regularly. 👍

    There is some good and bad in this video. Getting the uneven ceiling squared out was interesting to watch. I'm concerned about the longevity of the wood. After they make the cuts, they are not sealing the end grain. This should be very important considering the moisture levels in the area are likely pretty high. Even if they are painting the exterior surface, there's a lot of unsealed wood ends and on the top. even if the wood was sealed prior, the end grains were certainly not.

    He is not showing where to nail, top of the board or in the grove?

    • @andyprairiedog
      @andyprairiedog 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Correct ppace to shoot a nail is in the tongue area at a downward angle so the nail does not interfere with the next incoming board. If shot in at a straight, the nail in the backside will be pertruding and not allow a flush and correct fit of the next board. I use 16 gauge finish nail for exterior and 16 gauge finish nail for interior, both 2 inches at length.

    Snap a line where the first piece is going then check it

    Personally I would have done a full measurement every foot beforehand and decided where to slice off the back side of the first row. This would negate the need for more trim to cover the gap.

      I would agree. When you come in behind someone else, their standards may not be good enough for your work.

    Milwaukee makes a nice cordless jigsaw that does not weigh 40lbs, you guys need to go shopping for some cordless tools as they do last long enough to finish a job. TOOLS TOOLS..bring the right tools please.

    I wonder if the light trims will fit around the extra tight wood cuts you made. better check. I was a little worried about you guys falling before it actually happened...dang heal up and buy some tools to make the job soo much easier.
