There is some good and bad in this video. Getting the uneven ceiling squared out was interesting to watch. I'm concerned about the longevity of the wood. After they make the cuts, they are not sealing the end grain. This should be very important considering the moisture levels in the area are likely pretty high. Even if they are painting the exterior surface, there's a lot of unsealed wood ends and on the top. even if the wood was sealed prior, the end grains were certainly not.

Snap a line where the first piece is going then check it

We are also living in windy area (but I have plan to put a wooden floor and some locking wheels to make it sturdier and to move it to safer place in windy months). Do you recommend it? Just found this as im about to do this on my covered patio. How did you account for the metal brackets that were holding up the joists? They make the T&G not sit flush.

If I opened a stand here in southeastern Kentucky, they would haul off everything, including the stand if they could! I’m not kidding. I put a rooster in a cage by the road with a sign, “free rooster, please leave the cage”. Haha, of course I never saw that cage again.

Are you inland? Not very near the coastline? Inland areas tend to get hotter during the day but cooler during the night which a lot of flowering temperate plants like. Here where I live near the Southern Florida coast, we don’t experience much difference between night and day temperatures so many of these flowers would not do well.
