This is the way to parent your child! Calm, collected in stress, highly observant and showing sound knowledge of tactics and decision making. At 5 or 6, she is better than most adults.
If you raise your kids right, you will be able to spoil your grandkids. Fail raise your kids well and you will parent your grandkids. You sir are doing a fantastic job!

Seen many Videos like this where kids raised on farms and ranches just get involved in the daily work recently. And in all of them you could see instantly, that these kids are truly happy and able to do a reasonable decision making. Those videos make me thinking about, that most of the "modern ways" of raising children nowadays especially in cities are completely off.. Overloading the kids with toys and Phones, iPads in order to distract them so much that the parents can do their stuff undisturbed instead of including children.

I like how she thinks. I think she understands how camels think, and she is ahead of them. Some times new thinking really makes great improvements. Ask her what about if you get an ebike. It would make your life a lot easier. Put it in the back of the truck, then use it to get closer, and keep up with the runners.

Thank you for providing us with this video record of the problem of feral animals on your farm. The triggercam footage was the best yet in terms of quality. I liked the stalk-cam that was attached to your back - although it did bounce around some when you were running! As others have said, like a first-person-shooter type video game - but this is NO game. You've spoiled us in the past with closer up video footage - closer to your targets. Today's targets were pretty far away. Guess the camels have learned to run away from the human as it means they'll get lead poisoning. Look forward to seeing some drone footage of this hunt if possible. Your daughter is such a pretty young lady! Jack, thanks again for your efforts here!

Verity will be running that operation in the future and she will have as much if not more passion for the Station life and the welfare of the country she loves. i come from station life in the Gascoyne (Gifford Creek/Minnie Creek) our biggest issue was the goat population. Since all the sheep were removed due to the Dog problems the dogs managed to get on top of the Goat issue.
For those unaware the Camel population runs into the millions throughout Australia. Keep doing what you're doing, i hope all the neighbors are helping you.

As backwards as the NT is, i believe they have a good method of feral animal control. Permits to hunt on crown land and if you complete a course plus be a member of certain clubs, you can book days to hunt in national parks.
That said, eastern states look as if you can pay farmers to hunt on their property via a booking system much like air BnB.
I guess finding the best method given population density to reduce the risk of accidents while maintaining some form of accountability

360 view gives different perspective which mixes it up a bit. Editing in the drone footage to link it together would be great.

Your buddy running in front of you, when you have a loaded firearm makes me nervous. He should always stay behind you.

I remember seeing heaps of horses out there one year. Didn’t see many camels. Think the name of the place we camped at was desert pine . Was quite a few years ago now. Was the another bore called pack horse. Or something similar?

Yeah there is Packhorse and North Packhorse. We've removed around 4000 horses from Prenti since we've been here.

    Sorry a second comment.
Tennis elbow is no joke. Stopping the aggravation ASAP and getting raparound arm help is critical. ( I use a strap that is secured with Velcro and it reduces swelling in my arms. I have seen people who cannot pick up a pencil and hold it.
Personally I believe you may have to go back to a smooth bolt action, possibly the 300 blackout would be a consideration at the distances you are shooting offhand. Getting the gear to a rapid fire working temp and still being smooth to the level of use you have are also consideration as you have mentioned before.
The shorter action may just prove to be as quick as the pump action. ???????
The footage is great by the way.

I had it double strapped (my kinesiology tape and the Velcro over the top of the shirt)
But more rest is the key, I also am pretty confident it was from the angle of the forgrip, hence going back to the angled grip.
      More rest is coming up!
I think even a pump in the shorter action would be good, or the new lever release that is in development.

I’d like to see the difference in a bolt action honed for smooth movement in comparison for time and accuracy over the Wedgetail pump action. Pros and cons. Keeping a closer site picture consistently with butt on shoulder at all times could prove to be much more better.
A little background on me. I have done a lot of Field Class shooting and Range Officer work, up to 10 shooters at a time.
Rapid fire as a portion of this. But not sustained fire to the degree of your shooting tasks. So the sustained use capacity of a firearm as you have discussed is very interesting.
I have checked out a 300 Blackout in a wedgetail in a gun shop so they do make them.
      All the best
      Joel

it's an interesting perspective but I still prefer the gopro as you can see what is in front of you easier.

Something like the AR platform makes a lot of sense but if your government is like mine then common sense has nothing to do with it. God bless be safe
