We used to shim the bolts on the bonnet hinges between the hinge and the bonnet which raises the rear of the bonnet to give a nice gap and plenty of air flow. Makes no difference to the way the bonnet latch closes.
Yes this, the air stalls under the bonnet and causes heat soak and the rear of the bonnet is a low pressure area which pulls the air out when the ute is moving.
Watching your shooting, you sometimes have the gun very canted to one side. That can throw the shot toward the cant and cause a miss. Try ensuring the gun is as vertical as possible and it may help. From a Good Ole country boy in SE USA, Georgia, I can appreciate what you guys are doing. Great video as always.
Hi Jack and Danny, good to see you back out and about knocking a few on the head good job. Wonderful to see the videos are back up and going again. Keep up the good work guys cliff from Queensland.
Next up, the Outback Jack and Danny in the morning radio show. The best chat, the best music, and the best camel wackiness in the outback. Stay tuned...
Jack at 7:19 did you miss that one 4 times or did he just absorb them? If it dropped zero- it came back on target- I’ve had that issue before- and it was my ammo just a bad run of ammo - not used to seeing you miss lol
One thing that actually works great is just popping the hood to get more engine airflow, allowing the secondary latch to hold the hood down. I have never in my life saw one fly up while driving and you get that nice 2-3 inch gap right over the engine for airflow. Just my 2 cents
Surprised Danny has such a high pulse rate, he always seems like a mellow fellow! Enya must seem like funny as music to shoot by, since all the first shooter games use heavy metal, but you want your pulse and blood pressure down for good long distance shooting
Man Danny is my type of guy... I work (believe it or not) in theatre now, damn I miss the characters I used to meet working in outback WA. I work with some hella annoying people now, some awesome ones, but a whole lot of annoying ones. At least I'm able to tell them to leave me alone, I can pass it down hill, mostly. I do love what I do, it's really worked out for me, but I feel like I'm there by fate. I'd pay you for a week out there with you fellas.
Re airflow/engine temps, people always forget that their big square lightbar is right in the path of their radiator, and will reduce airflow, could be worth moving it up on top of the hoop ....might help or it could do absolutely nothing, I'm not an engineer
try putting the Ro lights up top the bar instead of on the bumper, a minimal improvement but cleaner, smoother air is just that! Check the scope rings and rail for torque!
That Camel missed repeatedly would be dead by one shot from the 300 Weatherby Mark 5 I just go back from Pac Nor Barrels that put a new SS super match 27 inch - 1-10 Polygonal Fluted + Muzzle break barrel on the Mark 5 action. I made after sight in 3- 4 shot groups at 200 yards with bullet holes touching. My AR 10 in 375 -300 WSM using a Pac Nor SS super match 25.5 inch barrel does the same accuracy as the 300 Wby mag with Pac Nor barrel.
Hey mate, regarding your shooting and Rifle Zero. You head shot the first ones and the last couple, but I noticed you were not comfortable for some of those shots that you missed. You needed to reposition the vehicle a bit, but, you cramped your shooting position instead, you canted the rifle almost 30 or more degrees, you will never hit what you aim at with the rifle at that angle especially at longer ranges. Just an observation, Great show, great content.
Danny's eyes never stop moving, that is the habit of a born hunter.
Your friendship with Danny is just so good! Love your work guys!

Theres a giant hole underneath the hood. You want that air to move across the engine, trans and everything else under the hood for additional cooling
Yeah we did the same in the tour vehicles we used on Cape York an it worked a treat 👌
Need a dash mounted magazine holder, one you can load the mag wile on the move....
Good on you Danny !! Always interested in what you have to say and good clean shot at the end too.

Love the scope mounted cam angle in the corner!!!

Is it possible to get Danny anymore chilled than he already is.The guy is horizontal he is that chilled.
Sounds ignorant of “in the zone” ? Go with the flow bro and listen to the wind 😊
Good to see you made back to the ponderosa in one piece. The country sure has dried out since that last big rain
Talk about a great work environment, I am sure there’s a lot of hard work we don’t see, but you both are happy men at work

move ya light bar up and free up some air flow too, nice job on the scoop. HI Danny ya legend :)

Its good to see Danny smile, he works hard.
This looks like such a fun place to work! You would never be bored!
Don't worry about your heart rate put some zinc on your beak love your station life videos thanks
Well done Jack and your new sidekick One Shot Danny thats the way to do it , stay safe and take care.
Walked in and saw the last ten seconds of Prenti Downs on Landline on Sunday!
Surprised Danny has such a high pulse rate, he always seems like a mellow fellow!

You are absolutely right !! The less in front of the radiator the better , it is amazing the difference that could make.
Make no difference at low speed. And bugger all difference at road speed.
Danny looks good with the wedgetail. Maybe needs too have his own then you will nock them down.🐪
The write up on the ABC news site extolling the use of electronic comms over the station was interesting as well.

Great idea with the air scoop, that should help defrost the ice on the windscreen.......😂
Well, we actually do get ice on the windscreen in winter... 🤣
Saw you on Landline the other day and noticed an old Steiger in the background what’s the story on it and how did it get all the way out there.
We have some videos where it is featured, take a look! 👍🏻
Jack Curious to know with the number of camels you've shot has the number of dogs pick up?
Danny’s on point
More of Danny the camel hunter please 🙏 how about a view of the bonnet scoop through the thermal camera/ scope
How far between yards. Are they spaced according to how far a cow can travel twice a day. Or just were you can drill and find water?
try the rear left button jack ..
Do you ever get any relief from the flys
Winter time
Thank Danny....jack
I miss these types of videos
Airflow aids are just a Band-Aid in most circumstances. I can almost guarantee the radiator core is blocked being a 4D56..
Shot of tequila every time you say Danny😅
Wonderful thank you.Stop listening negative comments
What's with the "POLICE" plate on the head liner (near the interior light) in your vehicle Jack ?
Jack, you two blokes are a bit like the odd couple. That aside you make a good team 👍🏾
You take the bloody bonnet off way there that fix cooling problem.
With pulse that low you guys might as well be on vacation...hahaha
Danny has his 1000yard stare on watching for them dogs.
Do you have a drone for days like this to spot the camels ?
Brass them up Danny.
What scope do you run on the mpr308??
“Pretty much cactus” 👌
Cortisone injections for tennis elbows. It cured me. Good luck.
Hi Jack is this Before the Big Rains or after
Before 👍🏻
I have an idea for a T-shirt for your merch: So.......Yeah!!
I don't think Enya ever imagined her music being used as the soundtrack for a camel culling. BLAM!
There is no R in Enya.
What model is the first rifle?
New name...One shot Danny
Not really a lost zero, check zero while you have the rifle canted at different positions
What is that rifle youre using? Looks like it would be nsw legal.
Turn the volume Upp
Enya 😂😂😂

Poor Danny, just does not like the camera!
If I were you I’d hunt at night. The camels don’t run.
Jack, how does it feel to be an ABC celeb.
Cool display of mental conditioning with the tunes bois, you don't often see people explaining how they prepare for shooting, let alone the process.
We all miss the Scope View,
Great video 🤟🏻🇨🇦👍🏻
Do you guys get something from the government or whatever to cover the cost of ammo? You go through ALOT and that shit isn't cheap.
Try cortisone injections.
Does Danny even HAVE a heart rate? If he was any more laid back, he'd be unalive. 😂
So camels are a nuisance like hogs are in Texas?
Speak up Danny, we all want to hear your voice
Camel bait? And why do you put on gloves before shooting?
Barrel gets hot!!!!

You'd know.
They’d be dingoes not dogs
Probably not.
Danny don’t say a lot.
