I only just realized that camels drink 200lts of water typically per day or three times their body weight in water (as per google as I dont own camel's ). I assume there is a reasonable height difference between your cattle and camels when fully grown. Could this be used against them either in an automated culling device or to prevent them getting at water?
Would you maybe benefit attaching a mono pod to that pump. Running around in that heat with nothing to rest on must be a bitch for shot placement. Just a thought cause it looks like head shots drop em quick. Tougher than I thought.
I was thinking jack maybe a modified 7.62x54r m44 carbine or even 91/30 bolt action might be a good addition. They make 20 and 30 round mags and the cartridge is reasonably priced and hard hitting.
That may be the case elsewhere but pretty sure there is both lack of supply of the ammo, rifles and those mags given how our stupid firearm laws govern mags of that capacity and high prices for the ammo of it is available here in Aus.
Max cartridge in magazines is 10 rounds I asked that some days ago. Those Mosin Garbage rods are so poorly accurate even as big as a Camel is using a Mosin garbage rod it takes a full box of ammo to hit one Camel..

It appears to be a never-ending slaughter of feral camels. The water is what they seem to be after. The question; move cattle out and close water wells and the camels will most likely die off. What a mess. Nevertheless, given what you are faced with, you have no choice but to do what is needed to survive.

Do you get any compensation for the fuel, ammunition and additional costs incurred while removing the feral animals. It's a camel Safari the transportation through the desert is camels. You have great food on the camel Safari. A great chef Cooks up meals from camel meat. Maybe some people prefer an old-time Safari

"3 times their body weight" would be 1-2000 litres. A litre is a kilo and they weigh from 300-600kg.

same with cattle. if one falls all the rest scatter quick and know something is wrong. seems camels tend to be more dull.

No compensation or anything. We burn for smell and disease prevention.
It's so odd how they don't run away and instead just gather in a group and wait. You'd think, with all the noise, they'd panic and bolt.
