I know it's just all imagination and would never happen, but I'd love for Toyota to bring back the 80 series in a MKii guise. If there's a market for new 1985 70's series there's surely a market for an 80 mkii. Of course powered by the modern TDV6 as anything related to the HD/HZs would never pass emissions. A man can dream.
i had toyota LC 100 series with 4.7 V8 gasoline. I did alot of offroading. All i had was slightly bigger ATR tyres everything else was stock. I never got stuck. I almost never used 4L. I dont understand if you have power in the engine where you need 4L ? I just pushed center diff lock on and was in 4H and it went everywhere.
I would like to own one with the exact colour, cuz everything about it is, functionality. It looks beautiful, it's rugged, a couple of spotties for the rainy season would be more than enough, cuz stock headlights are bad, especially in a tough 4wd like Toyota 70,76,79,80 series etc.
nice @ $ 80k auz $ thats only$ 52k us $ wish we could buy a LC 70 or LC 300 in the us , toyota priced the LC out of the us market our LC200 v8 gas was $90 us $ we do have lex ugly lx600 and gx460
Loved it, if only it wasn't overpriced, had coilovers all around, better wheel articulation, a higher GVM, a wider rear wheel track, refined interior and a better front facial. There was a time when 80 series land cruisers were honest for what they offered back in the 90s.
@@Phil_McAvity Exactly. Atleast they can setup a production line dedicated to the 70 series in Australia. But that would never happen. And it's just made like a 3rd world truck. They haven't though about the refinement.
I agree all aside the suspension, personally I think leaf on the rear is much more practical, capable and comfortable (on Utes) compared to all coils. its meant to be a utilitarian vehicle for off road/harsh driving conditions and leaf fit that description perfectly
@@fyshi6226 Agree with the leaf spring part. Many people don't understand how better are they. They complain about how it compromises offroad capability because lower breakover angle and clearance, that's why in australia and Middle East they come with twin lockers and are often fitted with 35" tyres. But if they can just correct the rear track and a better front facia, bring the price down, it would be great.
Toyota has little competition in the farm sector, so they can charge what ever they want and they never need to modernise it. Want a modern 76 series, buy a Prado!
Typical overpriced, over marketed Toyota. Appalling on road but superb off-roader with a tank like 450nm at 1200rpm, NVH is part of the entertainment package, and lets not forget the importance of feeling like a truck, on road. Good honest review.
You either get what these vehicles are about or you don’t. They’re a enthusiast vehicle, they don’t claim to be a Bentley or have the speed of a Ferrari. The folks who bag them are just….😴💤
@@oggyoggy1299 unreliable, un-capable, not designed too, no comforts, no reason too. They're for towing sheep across a paddock, mining or looking tough in a shopping centre, why would you take it offroad, may as well take a Rav4 offroad prob go further
Wolverine is now making car video reviews?? Love it!
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
I believe he prolly from another universe.
Ironically the actor for him is also Australian
Falling in love with those round headlight cover things and the grill
*Land Rover Defender has left the chat*
It's just out of the league already. Now more of a luxury wagon than an offroader.
Toyota Land Cruiser 70 series 🇯🇵❤️💪👍👆🎥😍👍 the best of the best 4×4!!!

Maybe a 300 GX series with solid front axle. That should do
I want to buy that car right now.

A tractor is even better if you can live with the compromises...There are so many, but how good are tractors! :)

But people are buying them, there’s even a +10 month wait for them and they’re selling for more 2nd hand than their RRP.
Overpriced 🤷♂️

A real off roader. Why not imported to Europe?
New wolverine replacing local hero hugh jackman
Wow. Cup holders and a badge on the console. That alone has got to be worth $80k.
Did it have air con, or was that a $2.3k option?
Why can't Toyota but an Automatic Misson in there 70 series Land Cruiser?
Laughs in new 300kw raptor!

$50k overpriced 1985 70 series with a v8. I WOULDN'T PAY MORE THAN 20K FOR THAT.
Που μπορο να το βρω εδώ και δυο μήνες ψάχνω . Δεν το βρίσκο ούτε στο Dubai
🤣
Who wants to break the news that a V8 cruiser isn't actually supposed to go off road, they're for tradies, miners and mall crawlers, this is awkward
Why cant you go off-road in these?
Plenty of people do.
