Really love your videos, I'm 42 and stopped riding riding 20 years ago. Decided to dive back into it and bought a fully restored 2002 kx125, 144cc racing engine, lectron carb, v3 reeds, fmf fatty pipe , hydro clutch the works. Now if only I cab start to ride fast again hahah. But your instructional videos have helped me quite a bit and thanks.
Thanks for sharing, John! You new set up looks interesting indeed! If you want to learn more about technique, I recommend you to download my free eBook: masterclass.motocrossadvice.com/free-book
So if i buy this expensive bike i need to change the forks so i can ride it properly on a track? I am a track rider who is looking for more freedom. What is my best choice? Thank you for the great video and hopefully you can help me out! Cheers m8
@@grahamlee8650 In order to get the bike more or less balanced I recommend to click the compression to the maximum and reb +4. The biggest problem is with the forks and they should be turned as stiff as possible, then you will find some balance. If this is not enough, I would consult with some mechanic (more oil could be an option).
@@MotocrossAdvice thanks you still looked very good despite it being soft I think with the right setup that could be the ultimate bike maybe a fx250 if they still make them could be a good inbetween bike.
Curious what your dimensions (Height, weight) are, please, Martin? I am shopping Husqvarna either FE 250 or 350--upgrading from Suzuki DRZ 400S--and ride mainly technical enduro (and sand, on occasion). You said plenty of power, but I am about 95 kg and 1.88 m
Hi, Eric! Thanks a lot for your comment! I am 184cm and 78kg - so there is definitely a difference. To be honest, I would even prefer 350 if I were you. The FE 350 is still light, handles extremely well and in the same time has a lot of power. I am afraid that 250 will not be enough for you.
just the video i wanted to watch budd,, iv just bought a 2019 fe 250 for goin on the trails,, im a beginner so definitely the video i needed to watch and hear ur views,,, can u tell me wot gear ratio u recommend for trails,, previous owner of my bike has got 12 52 on it,, is that a good ratio for trails would u say,, cheers again 👍
Hey man! Thank you for your comment! Awesome to hear you joining the sport! I think 12, 52 gear ratio is good, but go and try - eventually you will find what best fits for your riding! Awesome to have you here on my channel!
Thanks man! Actually in Estonia we say it like this, but I hear a lot that in US it is pronounced Hosk-A-Varna whenever I watch Supercross Live or something. As I'll receive my new Husqvarna this week, I will fix this in my next videos :)
