  • You know I got a bike, so I need to be able to move it around from hill to hill.
    Let's go through the installation process of the UpRide so we can get to and from the hill with ease.

    Hello to all.
    Nice practical video, thanks.
    This type bike holder-(Upride-599 with weel adapter Thule-5991) is also good to use for travel with your fat-bike. Realy strong bike holder!

    Great video by the way! So to have both racks facing the same way on the car you have to unscrew the wheel cage and flip it around right? I think that’s worth mentioning. Both the racks look way more cool facing the same way.

    • @TheRouge
      @TheRouge  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you J D, you got it. To have both facing forward that rotation is needed. And to have both facing forward makes for easier on and off as well as looks better. Also I didn't find much of a difference in terms of efficiency. I drove 1000km with them the same way and 1000km with them opposite.

    I have this same set up but I wanted to ask, you know those weird metal half loops that the Uprides come with? I couldn't figure them out man or is that even necessary

    • @TheRouge
      @TheRouge  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Paul, the half loops would be used if you wanted to go under the bars instead of in them with the T-screw. So if someone had square bars or the rounded bars that don't have the T-track. Hope you like em, I'm loving mine!

    What is the distance between your racks? Is there a requirement/special instructions for thule upride?

    • @TheRouge
      @TheRouge  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there Lloyd, that's a very good question I just went through documents and have not found a mention on spacing.
      Mine are pretty close are 30 in/ 76.5 cm apart and have been just dandy

    • @TheRouge
      @TheRouge  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! The UpRide (599000) and the bars are the aero bars which are no longer available but the most similar ones available now are the Wingbar Evos (711100)

    Can it fit on city crash roof racks from vw

    • @TheRouge
      @TheRouge  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there Damon, they should with the square bar adapter. Assuming the shape of your bars are close to the aluminum bar by Thule I don't see why not.
