  • A quick unboxing and short review, mostly first impressions of their Derek Alloy camp table. A great bit of kit that I've been very happy with over the last 6 months or so, and thought I'd share it.

Pretty X-ey for a table Jase. Pro's, nicely made (great attention to detail with CNC finish), you can use it for a platform to reach the roof rack, put hot camp ovens on the surface, and it fits like a glove in your 76. Apart from that, I couldn't really justify nearly $400 plus freight. Cheers for the review mate, BobbyB.

Yeah I get it's not a cheap entry level table and plenty of people are happy with the $30 blowmould tables from bunnings. For me i wanted something that would last, I could put hot things on and before finding this I'd reconciled myself to spending $700 on a frontrunner table.... so by comparison this seemed like a bargain. :-)
Definitely falls in the 'nice to have' category rather than the need to have :-)

    Made in Australia ?

Hey mate, going to say no, as no where on their site does it say Aussie made, and I think they'd promote that if they were. Aussie company and design. But likely made over seas to their specification, I guess bit like bushman fridges.

Nice review but how much cheaper (yes, cheaper not "less expensive") could this be without all the rubbish CNC lecturing and styling? You get what you pay for but what are you really paying for here?

I hear you but end of the day costs money to manufacture and deliver a product. The only real comparable I found (which is what I was looking at before this) is the frontrunner table, which is $700.
For me, this was good value, it's something I use pretty much every trip, knowing I can buy spares if something brakes etc has some value for me.
The finish on the alloy is really nice as well. Not sure if they've done something to it or not.
Thanks for watching and commenting John!
