  • This was a spur of the moment decision, after a day out of the office to head home via Buckland Spur to get some practice in using the engine braking on the 76.
Great track Buckland Spur connecting Sawmill Settlement with Lake William Hovell.

Hey mate, for the internal camera work in low light, grab a small LED panel. I have a few that I use on the other channel. They are small and adjustable. The footage will not be as grainy and they take up almost no room at all. Ulanzi, Smallrig and plenty of others.

I camped at then Evans creek river crossing over the Kings Birthday weekend and it was a great campsite for a small group, maybe 1-2 vehicles. Lots of rubbish around (filthy grubs leaving stuff !!) but otherwise a great site. Some interesting vehicles going up or down the steep bit after the river heading away from the lake.. some dude towing a boat UP the hill... some guys in a RAV4 coming DOWN the hill. Not the steepest in the VHC but a challenge none the less.

definitely. Towing a boat up would have been fun. Guess if it's a tinnie it's not too heavy.
It's a shame how much rubbish people leave around. I reckon it'd be a good spot to camp hopefully not too much traffic.
      Thanks for posting!

Nice little adventure Jase. I'm surprised how well the A/T road bias tyres do in some situations. I have them (come standard on the D-Max) and was looking to up grade before our little jaunt up McDonald spur track past Budgie Budgie trig point and assend to the Pinnicles. Let them down to 25 psi and up it went no probs. As soon as I saw the climb in front of me I thought "ok this is where I become unstuck", however to my amazement it climbed straight up. The track was damp from frost but not wet, but I shook my head in disbelief when I got to the summit. I'm still going to up grade them though, probably to the Falken Wildpeak A/T3Ws. Thanks for posting and cheers mate, BobbyB.

Heymate, likewise very surprised how far they went. Our jan trip which the Billy goat bluff track video was an early release was the last one for me on the road terrains. Definitely found their limits that trip.
Had the falkens on the paj for over 4yrs they're a good all-rounder. I went a different way this time though.
