Yep! I had the door mostly shut in between us and was just holding my phone outside with my arm through the crack. It looked sweet and adorable, but it's a wild animal which demands respect and space. I don't want to be the person someone reads about in a news story and says "that idiot!" hahaha
Javelina‘s actually mostly live in Arizona and in one county in Arizona if you keep the pumpkins out then they can attract Javelin‘s and like to eat them!
No - I knew they can be aggressive, so I didn't go outside with him. I just stuck my phone through a crack in the door. When he saw the door was open a little I think he got hopeful I was going to feed him. Not a good idea, but I get the feeling that a lot of people around there must do. He was probably pretty used to people.
I hear you - I didn't have my dogs on this trip, but wouldn't want to get near the javelinas or let my dogs anywhere near for sure. I like to see the javelinas, but know they are dangerous. Thanks for watching!

I agree - I was super happy to see it, but stayed inside the house. I had the door open a crack so I could put my camera out. I think they are adorable, but I also know they are wild animals and can do some serious damage. I didn't feed it either, but I'm pretty sure someone had.
I read there’s a $300 fine for you if you’re caught feeding them. 😬 I wonder if everyone knows that? I wouldn’t have had I not recently read that. Then again…I wouldn’t ever feed a javalina or coyote or any other wildlife in Arizona (unless it was a stray dog of course 😄)

It was in Sedona, Arizona behind our AirBnB. I think people must have fed it before. It seemed to expect a handout, but I didn’t feed it.

Be very careful if you have dogs. They will attack your dogs and hurt then pretty bad if the dog makes it. Horrible injuries to dogs.
