      I was just in Tucson, actually marana Az at the ritz Carlton dove mountain resort last week with my wife for her annual board meetings for work and these things were all over the resort especially on the golf course. As a lifelong Fl resident I didn't know what the fuck I was witnessing lol. Our driver told us and actually warned us about them because he said they can be aggressive at times when they have they're babies with them. It was actually cool to see them wondering around without any care for humans like they owned the place lol. It's such a beautiful place there in the Sonoran desert and the weather was awesome. I now know what dry heat means compared to Florida's humidity...I used so much chap stick 😂

      From my experience, they're not so much aggressive as they are defensive and easily spooked. They can see during the day, so if you see them and it's light out, they're probably going to be pretty docile as long as they have no babies with them (and you dont have a dog with you). At night though, they cant see for shit, so they get super defensive and are likely to attack if you make any noises that startle them.

      they're near sighted so investigating sounds and smells and then being met with agression makes them reactive to the situation. usually if you don't panic or kick zaat them you're fine unless it's a mother with reds

    Make a loud noise they're scared of that. Keep them away or they'll kill pets. Wish we could hunt them with no limit. They need to be hunted to extinction.

      Although they look like boars, they’re 100% native wild peccary. You can still hunt them pretty much anywhere in the southeast though, not too bad eating wise. Like a pig (as one would suspect)

    • @BroadwayRonMexico
      @BroadwayRonMexico 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Loud noises only spook them at night (since they cant see well at night), and if you only do it when you're close, that's the most sure-fire way to get attacked by one. Much like in bear country at night, you have to be making your presence known *before* you encounter one if you dont want to startle and piss them off
      If you see one like this during the day and there are no little ones with it, it's probably not going to give you any problems.
      Also, they're native to the Southwest, so you cant hunt them without a license in Arizona, New Mexico, or (I think) Texas. They're not invasive

      I got charged by a large male Javelina once, it was protecting its herd because I got too close and was photographing them. I yelled “HEY!” as loud as I could and it broke off and bolted to the right mid charge. It was like 4pm when this happened. You can scare them away with loud noise. They are native here but they migrated north from Central America only a few hundred years ago.
