It's 2019 and very, very cold. I'm going to see them in Oshkosh tomorrow and Chicago on Tuesday. They are one of a few bands I will bear sub zero temps to see and be excited no matter. Go Dawes. I was at this show and am warming myself up for tomorrow by reliving this evening. -14 the night of the Chicago show-Yikes. Glad they sizzle.
Dawes is one of the most exciting band today. I had the privilege of seeing them live in Boston (just before this concert) and more recently as the warmup band for ELO in Philadelphia. Thanks for posting!
Many, many many thanks. I was at this and several other shows recently. I am addicted to these guys and they are better every fricking time. These guys are as good as it gets live and the best deal in rock and roll on this tour $33 for this show and in Madison it was $30. I am at as many shows possible. . 2 1/2 hours or more I cannot get enough of these guys.
I agree, one of the greatest rock bands ever. I discovered Dawes about 2 years ago and I fell in love. Taylor has such sweet and unique solos, great lyrics, and the overall musicianship is just sweet!
I just stumbled onto this from one of your U2 videos from this weekend. I was at both the U2 show on Saturday and this Dawes show in March - thanks so much for recording them! My husband and I LOVE Dawes and it's great to get to re-live the show...
They are coming back to Chicago in June! These guys were less than $30 in Peoria. I cannot get enough and I know I am gushing but if you have not seen them live....GO.
I wish Dawes, Wilco, The Jayhawks band, Hall and Oates would each have their own stations on Sirius, just like Pearl Jam does. I could listen to them all day, everyday.
stealingroses no. I was front row balcony, and there were signs posted not to have drinks on the rail as they tend to slide off down to the main level seating. An usher came by 2x to yell at people to take their drinks off. The lady next to me spilled her drink over the rail on to someone downstairs and got reamed out.
Lori79 That has always been a pet peeve of mine as well. You know, like when you are trying to feel the music and some clown has to yell whoopee, yeehaw or yeaaah. The worst is when the music has a soft intro, breaks into a capella, harmonizes or slows it's feel in transition and then in those moments we get the clueless jokers to a musical ear shout yippee.
