But talking about the emotion, i think this song talks for herself, it doesn't need all the runs and details you did. With this kind of songs, you needa go straight to the point. Focus on the message spread, and the emotion will follow, there's no need to try to add emotion, because it feels like it's too much, it seems fake.

I hear a lot of people doing covers of this song either choose to make a reach at a high belting note, or go lower to not strain their voices, to show the power of the song on the word "sing." I love what you did here on the first "sing" after "I feel stupid." It sounds incredible, I've never heard someone choose that way and if I have I've never heard someone who made it sound so perfect for the deeply moving rawness of this song.
