- Blackwood is a rural village in Victoria, Australia. The township is located on the Lerderderg River, 89 kilometres (55 miles) north-west of the state capital, Melbourne, within the Wombat State Forest. Blackwood is in the Shire of Moorabool local government area and had a population of 295 at the 2016 census. (Well over 300 in 2021)
Businesses in the town include: the Blackwood Hotel, Martin St. Coffee (a coffee roaster and café), Blackwood Post Office and Café, Allen's Emporium (antique market store), the Blackwood Hat Shoppe, a design studio and Blackwood Ridge (garden, nursery and restaurant). Great video. Right at the end as you left town when you pulled over you missed the Blackwood Historical Museum.

It's a lovely genuine rustic town with plenty of character ... When I hear myself on audio, I have to cringe as I sound robotic to me - I can only do better with the next one !

It might sound like the Royal Enfield is running a bit rough, but it wasn't - The audio seems to stutter from time to time !
BW has a great history if you trawl thru local papers on Trove.
That's interesting to know ... My only concern would be if using information from a local newspaper l would breach their copyright ... It's a very sensitive issue for some, but thanks for the heads up for my next town l might visit when l do a basic research on it !
@@urbanaerialexplorer1885 I was thinking for historical material e.g. the coverage of BW by The Bacchus Marsh Express which ran from 1866 - 1945 so I imagine there are no IP issues.
