Even at 0:16 - 0:19 I can see the stripe texture you've applied to the extra engine shielding, I must say for such a tiny detail it makes it look even better. I try to ballance it with cost and other factors. For instance the HE artillery destroyer (the weapon with the most range) has about half the DPS as the regular Destroyer. The Torpedo Destroyer, the one with almost 150% DPS of the regular, costs nearly as much as Battlecruiser and in the newest versions also has some ship's speed penalty applied to it. I try to give pros and cons to everything, feel free to point at the units that have no drawback and I'll give then some weakness.
Nostalgic, epic tunes! I remember listening to combat music for hours as a Human player, with missile bases and 2 fleets at a wormhole, while Kariak fleets were constantly coming through, even bringing their own mobile bases. Damn. Feels.

But it still record the computer audio, not the actual game sound, that's why I have Pink Floyd Background in the MBC video.

Try them both and see. REARM and Complex are completelly different. REARM is about new units that fits into the existing races style (both visual and combat style). Because of the attention to unit's style and quality, there aren't that many of them. Complex adds additional layer of depth into management, like crew, game years etc. It also has a significantly slower pace due to it. Pick the one you like, they're both high quality and major mods. And they are completelly different.
Wanna ask something, is there a way to make new units with the help of profile persist luas in R.E.A.R.M. Campaign? I mean we can still create the old original ones but i don't know the new ships name codes, so.. Is there a document that shows all the unit codes?

I can't play the old classic really, but knowing my past self, it definitely doesn't let you build it, until you build the Advanced Research Module, because without it you can't build Flak Frigates. Other than that I can't say from the top of my head.

@@Pouk3D I strongly recommend you avoid playing Homeworld 3...It's so bad in all aspects and a huge disappointment. I refunded it after a week even after playing for over two hours. Mods such as yourself; are so much better in terms of quality overall than what the developers produced in that dumpster fire abomination called Homeworld 3... They neutered the gameplay and took out so much tactical features...I mean they took out the ability to hyperspace with ships during a battle! How does that even make any sense in terms of gameplay?

Instead I'm here thinking "damn HW2 was good, like really good". And my HWRM approach to modding was no longer childish and amateur. It was minimalistic, there are no longer flashy silly units, it's just a collection of functional sidegrades. The only problem, a very small collection. :)
One problem that Homeworld 2 / Remastered has with Mods that make weapons modular is that the target priority AI doesnt work with it. If you for example make an escort destroyer focused more on anti strike craft weaponry it will still prioritize Frigates and Capital ships.
It works fine... as long as you don't give your ship a target... That overrides the weapon priorities. Which is definitely is very clumsy. Though PDS mod for example works like this.
There's no mod launcher that would allow it, so not unless you combine the mods manually yourself. It's technically possible, but it's a lot of work. The most sensible approach would be to open Complex and start putting REARM ships in it, since Complex is very script heavy.
Pouk, this is one amazing mod. Is there a way to link HD graphics like ultra.big mod in HW2 vanilla? Combining HD"ultra.big" graphic mod with R.E.A.R.M. would be even more astonishing.
Well technically yes, the only thing preventing it is a time cost. You/me/any random person could integrate the graphics mod into R.E.A.R.M.. But since it's pretty much a one man mod, I can't add yet another thing slowing me down, more when I would have to create normal maps for every R.E.A.R.M. vessel as well. That said, Gearbox is working on an official HD Homeworld 2 rerelease. And once that's out, I'll have to make a revision, putting mod's ship in line with these new updated ones, whatever their detail standard is going to be.

I miss games like Homeworld, Dungeon Keeper, Freespace and Carmageddon. Only guys like you can make it. Im playing R.E.A.R.M. and Complex these days, its simply amazing. Homeworld is one calm strategy with relaxing atmosphere and ambient soundtrack. It is so much different than other RTS that have no soul, very fast, angry and agressive playstile.
My homeworld 2 doesnt work for me on windows 7. Basically the resoloution is fucked. When i put it on max it goes over my monitor screen which is unusual. Therefore icant play the game. Any idea what is wrong i have a GTX 580 Graphics card. I think its my motherboard however. It worked fine on vista i think windows 7 doesnt like my motherboard ever since i installed it.

The mod or the patch? The mod: Just remove the .big file and locale folder from your Data, reverse what you've done when you installed it. The patch: Reinstall the game.
Not a good idea. There's no logical reason why a ship as small as a destroyer would have the crew, machinery and materials required for this kind of reconfiguration ability. It would severely compromise its ability to wage war. Maybe if you could queue an upgrade and require it to berth to the Mothership or a Shipyard.

This needs a port to Homeworld remastered. And I would be glad to help!
It's already being worked on, we just don't have the proper modding tools yet.

HW2 can be started with any custom resolution, you need to add a parameter like -w 1920 - h 1080 into the shortcut's command line.
three barreled should shoot at 1-3-2 to avoid ship tilting..
