I get to play with all the fast shit, Model X and S Plaid, Model 3 performance, engineering cars with horsepower numbers that I'd be violating my NDA even hinting at. 0-60 in 3 seconds has become underwhelming for me. I would still laugh manically and smile ear-to-ear in this foxbody. NOTHING can beat how visceral cars like this really are, the exhaust, the dog box, the heat, the fumes, everything about them is apart of the experience that EV's seriously just don't have.
Great cars. Took an 86 4 cylinder coupe and moved all of my good svo mustang parts over to it to build what ford should've to begin with. Did just a few minor upgrades but youd have thought ford built an svo coupe if you seen mine lol
This is literally the same build I’m doing right now. But I’m putting a gen 3 aluminator short block with gen 2 heads. Oh. And mine is a 89 GT and I’m putting a 6R80 in it.
Great video. So cool that it is so light in weight and lays down 1000 RWH!!! It sounds good and looks great in that blue!!!! I would like to drive it also!!! Thanks for sharing!!! 👍👊💪🇺🇸🐎
Fox chassis cars are the cheapest, easiest, quickest way to go drag racing. Small car+ Short wheelbase+triangulated 4 link rear+ strut front suspension= an almost perfect starting point for drag racing. But cheapest, easiest, quickest doesn't always equate to the best. I've owned 3 Fox Mustangs. They're great. But if I had to the money to build any car I wanted. I would keep and modify any mustang to remain a touring vehicle that goes left and right and could tackle a mountain road. And there is about 5 other cars I would choose to drag race before a mustang.
Hey i get it. You push in the clutch then lift gas then shift then release clutch and push accelerator. Just like you were taught. Forget the clutch once your moving forward. Time a slight toe lift of accelerator as your shifting. With practice no crunch and standard gear boxes are not used on drag same as street. You wanna trap in 4th gear around 7500rpm. Shift like i say and .6 seconds will come off your 1320 times...
Foxbody's are so light.. They are perfect for Coyote swaps without the boost. I get that is a drag car and why they T56'ed it.. But something like that needs to be out on the streets.. I would have done a smoother trans for street use myself.. But I don't really race so I get why he did what he did using the T56...
Personally, I'm not a fan of Coyote swaps. I much prefer the 7.3 Godzilla or just a classic Windsor/Cleveland. I'm happy to trade the lack of revs for the responsiveness/low-end torque and compactness of the larger displacement pushrod engines.
Gen 2 motors will surprise you. Other than oil pump gears, the long block is stock. It made 840whp on 14psi and we've turned 20psi at the track which is well over 1000whp
You should get a 2024 mustang to replaced your totaled car and get the new roush supercharger I wanna see the process of it. I want the new blower but not the new mustang
Fox body is the car I love to hate, the stock 302 is enough to have fun in it when modified and not done properly the 302 becomes rather irritating and will leave you stranded if you guys are looking into getting to the platform I would recommend getting rid of all EGR stuff and excessive vacuum trees. This will make the car easier to work on unless you are going full-on cyote build.
Well That's Misleading, your thumbnail says a 1000 horsepower stock when its anything but stock if its got a motorfrom a 2015 mustang in it like that, as the original 302's need a specific reinforcement in the block to take over 400 or it will literally rattle itself apart not to mention the cost of modifying the car, and reengineering everything to work right as the foxbody was a good rebirth and return to what made the mustang great, but they have their limits and are not the car to use for drag specials, given they might get wrecked like go for one of the new age ones, those are so cheap and plentiful that most dont care if they get wrecked, and the cobra independent R rear suspension I think is still avalable for them as I remember matt farah having to basically retrofit and reengineer that to fit on his CHP fox body back in the day but for a modern terminator, that might be flat out bolt on and good for modding
After being in an and driving a Tesla plaid I’m not impressed but numbers but I know how fun unruly cars are. My 12 second foxbody is as more fun than that electric rocket
