    This deck was so much fun to watch. A non-budget version of this deck to shore up its weaknesses would be a wonderful fun deck to play just to see what you could do with the opponent's plan.

    Great video. Two things I would live to see:
    1. A dollar counter to see the running value of cards you play from your opponent's deck to see how much your 100 dollar budget deck could steal.
    2. I would also love a Budget Plus series. Budget decks where lands don't count into the budget equation. A lot of players have better lands than what you are being forced to use due to monetary value constraints and its frustrating when the deck loses out because you can't find one of your colors due to using sub par lands.
    I really love your videos! Keep up the good work!

    • @JoeNokers
      @JoeNokers 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the likelihood of someone with 300$ worth of lands in every colour looking for a budget deck is really low tbh. It really does suck seeing him be mana screwed but this is a far more realistic for a lot of people

    • @Foxribble19
      @Foxribble19 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    In the tron game, wouldn't the void mirrors have been good?

    • @Blackflame305
      @Blackflame305 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not necessarily. The card only counters spells that haven't had colored mana SPENT on them, not ones that COST only colorless mana. That version of tron uses several colored spells, so it has chromatic spheres, stars, etc that all generate colored mana and could easily get around the void mirror

    • @savagesnadgaming7252

      Better than nothing. Force them to have a star or sphere to cast anything. A lot of the time they have to spend their early stars/spheres on Sylvan Scrying or digging for tron. I would bring them in. With how heavily they mulligan especially.

  • @evankraabel5415
    @evankraabel5415 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That was certainly not a punt, it was highly defensible, as you went on to show. However given the dart in the GY, id definitely have countered the spellbomb. We're at effective 3, so 3 damage effects win. the only other way to win is 2+1 or 1+1+1. So you should always counter the 2, esp. since very few other realistic cards for their deck actually deal 3 damage.

      all of tron's big spells pretty much win the game against this deck if they resolve. so all they need to do is not crack their chromatic star until they have tron. which is what is going to happen in 50% of games anyway when you're on the play, and probably a good amount of games when you're on the draw too. since obviously they saw you play void mirror on 2 and they can presumably read. so they are aware that they only need to make colored mana once to beat you. it's why I don't even play void mirror, imo it's just not a replacement for the traditional hate cards like damping sphere, blood moon or land destruction. and it's still a lot weaker than chalice against living end or rhinos. although I guess mirror has a lot more merit now that so many decks are playing 4x solitude, but I wouldn't know since I'm usually the one playing the solitudes lol

You put it in modern where it’s so much tougher but every single card you used in your main board is pioneer legal (Sans inquisition & counterspell) which can be easily replaced with thoughtseize over inquisition & whichever counterspell you’d like to use and wouldn’t be double blue to tax the mana base) also Tyrant’s scorn is a nice option that’s flexible as well. Really give it a chance to shine 😎 also more Bear 🐻 please & thank you

    what are you talking about? of course people kill thief of sanity; it's a 2/2 flyer that draws you a card when it hits. like it's not that much worse than toski and people definitely kill toski on sight (if they could)

    It's a bold strategy, Cotton, let's see if it pays off for them.

    It's not a punt for say, but it's a darn risky move. I mean, its a 2 damage burn spell, you're at 4...

    This deck looks like it would be pretty easy to put this together for Historic.

    "thief tanks so many unnecessary removal spells it's not that busted but people just do not want to get hit by it"
    flashback to guilds standard when seth would pick up cards against an opponent for just tapping dimir mana

    Void Mirror isn’t great against Green Tron, but I think it’s good enough that it’s worth bringing in against them.

    Why didn’t you board in void mirror vs tron? It shuts off the entire deck?!

    Why was Seth surprised he was hitting dead against the azorius control when the opponent literally stacked the top of their library every turn?

    I play dimir control in standard and xanathar is a kill on sight card in that deck. If I untap with xanathar I'm winning.

      Yeah, if you untap with Xanathar its pretty hard to lose (unless you're already super far behind on board).

    I mean there are obviously decks you can’t beat easily with this deck, but it runs like a control deck just using your opponents finishers instead of your own.
    I feel like the niche draw your whole library decks would slaughter this

    As much crap as I’ve given you Seth I owe you an apology. You’re such a better content curator than most and I’m glad you make content without being a horrible person unlike other MTG creators.

      I don't mind taking some crap, I deserve it sometimes :) No need to apologize, but thanks :)
