I’ve had this condition for 70 years! Taking an oatmeal bath twice a week, washing in between, I use petroleum jelly when i get out of the bath! I use an oatmeal cream and petroleum jelly on top of on my face and neck 3 X a day! Stress is a trigger as well as diet! Stay away from perfumes and lotions! I threw everything away! Take walks and fresh air is the best!

Any ideas for eyelid eczema. I also use that cream works quite well but in a flare it gets red and sore.

Thank you dear Leila for reminding me about those key tips ! 💙😇🙏 I’m so happy I’m already 90% healed! I still only have some dry patches on my 🙌 hands . Do you have any specific tips for hands ? Now in Covid times , we need to wash and sanitize hands all the time 😩. I do wear gloves 🧤 as much as possible, but I don’t know what else I could improve to speed up the healing process?

Hi Kate!! Thanks so much for always watching ❤️❤️❤️ Hands can be really tricky as we need to use them all the time! Protecting them as much as possible is great either with gloves or simply avoiding the washing up and cleaning products. Switch over to all natural cleaning options where possible. Avoid soaps with SLS’s. Check out Stephenson & Sons or Dr Bronners. Don’t use any gels. These strip the skin’s natural oils. I found Red Light Therapy particularly effective with hands. You could invest in a small unit which wouldn’t be very expensive. Routine with hands is key. Light weight ceramide lotions applied regularly. Keep them as dry as possible.

Hi, Kate. If I may just share what I do. I always carry with me cloth gloves & tissue most of the time. Almost all that I touch, I use gloves & tissue so that I wont expose my hands to things that I touch or carry thus, avoiding hand washes.I also use Oilatum soap. For washing dishes, I use Human Nature Dishw soap if I didnt use gloves, & wash again with Oilatum soap.Hope we'll all be healed, completely 😊

Hey I think I’m going thru the ES part of my tsw. Which moisturises did you use whilst going thru this stage? And wat soap?

    • @Leila_Eczema

Hey there I used Skin Food Light by Welda and La Roche Posay Cicaplast. To clean with i use a Stephenson and Sons melt and pour soap or a Dr Bronner’s Castille soap. You want to avoid SLS’s in all hygiene products as these strip your natural oils away.

Hi... I have been going through tsw for over 1 year now, and after healing 80 to 90 percent I am having a second "flair up"... The itch is getting worse by the day (I itch all night long with little to no sleep)... I have problems with getting water and sweat on my skin... I start itching after the moisture has soaked in after a few minutes... Do you have experience with that or any suggestions, to what I can do?... Basically there is nothing I can put on my skin, that does not cause itching.

Hi Peter, I think if its too painful to use moisture then do try not showering/baths and just "bird bath" the "essentials" more often our tap water is very alkaline so add apple cider vinegar to the water for minimal washing. I truly thanked a low histamine diet to help overcome the itch. It minimises the trigger of the cycle. Check out my histamine video: th-cam.com/video/mvXuA71Kxxs/w-d-xo.html along with my recipe playlist if you need some inspiration as to what to cook: th-cam.com/video/FLBRwWv5HCc/w-d-xo.html if you need further support am happy to help.
