Historically John Young and Gene Cernan orbited the moon on Apollo 10 and both men ended up walking on the surface in later missions (Apollo 16 & 17). Jim Lovell orbited the moon on Apollo 8 and was to land on its surface on Apollo 13 but obviously events kept that from happening. So it's possible these folks could get a shot at a landing but like you pointed out, it could also lesson their chances.

This, right here and now, is the kind of history I want us to be apart of. Not tearing one another down and killing one another. I think humanity has lost its way and we've become so jaded that we have lost all compassion for our fellow humans. I'm not wishing for some unrealistic utopian dreamscape, just that we all try to get some fresh perspective and compassion for everyone. I think this mission will help that along. All those lines disappear, as do religious beliefs, countries, ethnicities, races, and all of the other superficialities, self imposed biases, and fictitious barriers we've put up, when we see ourselves from the outside looking in right? We all become the human race period when that happens. That's how it is and should always be. Proud to be apart of it right now. If we are reaching for the stars and only looking up, then we can't be pushing and pulling one another down. I hope this message finds you all well. ❤

My take away from Artemis I, is the fact that when you see the earth from the perspective of the moon. You realize that our faiths, our history, everything and everyone you know is on that "Pale Blue Dot" and you can actually hide the earth with your thumb and come to the conclusion that our little issues are insignificant in the cosmos and that's why we need to do a better job of taking care of our "Pale Blue Dot" that is earth.

No, they are not doing that . They are going to the South Pole of the Moon, far away from the equatorial regions of the Moon where the Apollo astronauts landed. Even if as you describe it, the Apollo astronauts made a “mess”, that in no way justifies the risks and huge costs of doing so. Anyway, the Moon is lifeless - although it’s presence is very important to life on Earth - so there is nothing that the “mess” would put at risk at all.

Thier could be movable mining and capture systems closer to the darker side of the moon with a with a artificial moon reflected light side of the moon, because the equivalent sides will be needed for stability and temperature living and growing of food and safety from radiation living on the darker side of the moon. We would need artificial moon like cities that can be mobile for any safety issues. We could start with small bases, with connected bases used for many things besides rare metals building space city's and the moon settlers rich on the earth for space travel and easy living, all with the help of robots and AI. People on earth would be able to rent luggage and places to live, basically just using the banks to pay the governments keeping civilization making choices from all rich and poor people being paid from governments becoming rich in space with a surplus of money paying rich or poor citizens the same amount of money regardless of lifestyle choices. The world could be made better by choosing and keeping the money and government systems. 👌 people are like no make everything free or no work intill you die 😂 everyone is like screw yourself. Their goal of landing a man of color and a woman on the moon just sounds a little weird to me. If you see woman and men of color as equals, then you wouldn't specifically focus on landing them on the moon.

Koch and Glover (the woman and black man you referred to) are beyond qualified. There’s no ‘token’ diversity hires in space. They can’t afford to put an unqualified officer on the crew. Both individuals have outperformed countless peers to earn their place on this flight.
