    The Kgalagadi/Kalahari Lion is in need of serious conservation especially in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier park. A 74min Video of Joe Lategan that shares over 30 years of knowledge of the Kalahari and specific the Kgalagadi Lion and where it all started in the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park (formerly known as the Kalahari Gemsbok Park). He also highlights some of the challenges the Kalahari Lions are facing currently and how we as the public especially photographers can assist in protecting the genes of the true Kalahari Lion among others. Join Joe down the Auob and Nossob river beds photographing these magnificent specimens in one of the last untouched wildernesses on the planet. Do not hesitate to contact Joe Lategan if you would like to become part of the protection of the Kalahari Lion in any way.

    Awesome video. I got so upset, and disturbed when I searched for Kalahari lions on youtube and saw the videos of lion hunts in the search result. Thankfully there are still great people like you and the gentleman who saved over 600 lions working hard to protect the lives of animals there.

    Joe you are a wealth of knowledge and as photographers I agree with you 100% ... we humans are or should be custodians of planet in relation to all the wildlife especially the predators like the lion . Your knowledge and passion is a living example for the rest of humanity .. I salute you 👏👏👏👏

    Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. So informative. We plan a couple of weeks in the Kgalagadi in May next year, if Rona buggers off. I found the background and obvious love and understanding of the region inspirational. Thank you.

    Joe How can I help? I can help by a volunteer just let me know. I could help fixing the fences

    • @joelategan
      @joelategan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Felix Floresrodriquez thanks for the care Felix. It is such a complex problem as the majority of the fences form International borders and should as a national interrest for all countries be priority. The rest of the fences are boundaries of private farms adjacent to the park. I will bear in mind as soon as we have progressed with bringing it to the attention of all concerned. The problem is that the stakeholders are not consulted. They trick the stakeholder involvement as to make people think they have been consulted but dont get meaningful input.
