Are there sources for this, or are you figuring all these things out on your own? If it's the latter, amazing! Either way, thanks for this. You explain in a way that I can fully understand and easily apply, which can not be said about most things I've seen. I can see how some may call this boring and too much to absorb. I appreciate you.
@@joebialas mostly just watching a bunch of the info that’s out there and reading forums, plus watching pros and then testing everything I’ve encountered with the tech disc. The kuoksa motion capture is from coach chris Taylor.
Neil, glad you are mulling over many obscure ideas. 👏👏 One note, as I’ve mentioned in the past, my research shows that the scapular retraction (at least back to neutral) happens almost instantaneously in the first few milliseconds of the pull. The retraction leads, and seems to initiate, torso rotation in better players. Space in PP is not nearly as important as the timing of the upper arm horizontal abduction. If your arm is leading the rotation, collapse and a tight PP space is non-existent as long as you can maintain a somewhat straight line of force. On another quick suggestion, it is a courteous idea to acknowledge others when using Internet content. No big deal, just a FWIW.
@ didn’t intentionally leave your IG out of frame, was just trying to zoom in on the horrible small IG view. Go check out his IG people. Do you post the vids in full size anywhere I can reference or have the research you referenced posted anywhere? Does your research show if Wiggins is protracted, neutral, or retracted here: i.imgur.com/Og2nw6F.jpeg Seems like there’s a lot more retraction ROM available from that position seeing how much more you can see his shoulder blades come together during the follow through: instagram.com/tv/CpgOg3KJmI8/?igsh=bWZ0aDJoMGdsaXR6
i added 20mph and 700rpm on a tech disc with the info from his last vid on the shoulder. my aim needs work again, but it's consistent. i just need to reprogram the release point.
Great video man! Gonna refer people to this when they need to improve their active protraction
This is my #1 issue with my form. I throw around 400 but my pocket collapses so much. Protraction could help a ton. Thanks

Keep it up, for the sake of my game. Thanks!
