Oregon is arguably the most beautiful state in the nation. you will not find a coastline so beautiful as the Oregon coastline anywhere else in the U.S.
I'm glad you're proud of your state! We try not to say anyone place is the most beautiful, every region + state has so much to offer and is beautiful in their own way!
Love the new style of VLOG that you guys went with on this one.....chill music.....chapters.....filmography......this one just gave off a different vibe in the best way possible. It really was fun to watch and put me in a great mood. Liz you are a master at narrating and bring us into your lives.
I agree, Ya Hot! Thanks for the tour and food/beverage recommendations as always. Must get up there to Cali-Or-Wash coast someday soon. Safe travels, especially steppin around Thors Well.
I spent the last 3 months on the Central Oregon Coast in an RV. The temperature was in the mid-50s at night to the low-60s during the day - every single day. That was weird. I had no use for heating or air conditioning. It was nice. I came back home to the Willamette Valley today because it finally cooled off here. That's just across the Coast Range Mountains. I stayed overnight only where I could do it for free with no hassles. Elizabeth Street in Newport is a good place. It's right above the beach with big motels on both sides. Between Newport and Depot Bay is Moolack Inn. Within a 1/4 mile north of there are 2 large parking areas on cliffs overlooking the ocean. I spoke with Park Rangers, and they told me about those parking lots. They said that people can stay as long as they want without restrictions. They are on State Highway right-of-way. The right-of-way goes all the way down to high tide. About a mile north of Depot Bay is Boiler Bay Scenic Viewpoint. Parking is permitted overnight with a 12-hour maximum. If you stay a little longer than that, they don't care. Tourism is big in this area. The authorities do not hassle people who look like tourists. What they do, is they hassle people who look like troublemakers. I have seen them root out troublemakers a few times, and it's a beautiful thing. They use a very soft touch. They talk with them for about an hour while cops at the cop shop run their complete criminal history, very slowly. The cops could probably do it themselves, but this way it's more intimidating. When the cops at the cop shop find something interesting, they broadcast it over the police radios at high volume for everyone to hear. lol. It has been my experience that when I treat the authorities kindly, they are very helpful. I start conversations with them, and then ask them where the free overnight places are. I don't need to pay $40 a night when I am in a self-contained RV. The best place to get water is south of Newport at Ona Beach.
We did that Oregon coast route in early June. It is beautiful. I love Port Offord, unfortunately the restaurant wasn't open. Loved all you wildlife video. We stayed at a private campground, but after seeing your video I want to go back and stay on beach front camp.
Love the Oregon Coast! You drove through my favorite town of Florence (saw one shot going over the bridge into Old Town) and it along with the coast brought back lots of memories! Thank you for sharing!
You got to FEEL the pulse of Oregon coast adventures! I was surprised you didn't highlight the Massive Sand Dunes near Florence, OR? But you did find many of Oregon's treasures. When my oldest daughter was inn 7-8th grade she did a journal and Highlighted the fact that we went to the Beach every weekend for two nights for 11 straight weekends! So yes we explored every little pull-off, enjoyed many sunsets and tidepools... plus found our favorite foods. So much to see, so little time! Very happy you made it to Oregon!
Lovedd the video and the scenery of the Oregon Coast. The Pacific NW is on my bucket list. That seal pup was so cute! Thanks for sharing your adventures. 💖🙏✌️
We used to live in Coos Bay, and loved going to the beaches, especially when the tide was coming in and pounding the rocks, and really catching folks who go too close and were soaked!!!
Really enjoyed your Oregon coast coverage, and also your UP Coverage! We are getting ready to leave Idaho on Monday and traveling to northern California up the Oregon and Washington coast into Canada down northern Idaho to glacier And then back home to Southern Idaho. Taking our time. This will be a 5 week adventure! I have to ask how do you like your pulse RV? We've been looking around and I really liked you're rigged and was curious if you've ever had any problems with it?
First time I finally got a chance to drive up the Oregon coast… it was fogged in literally all the way up! Gotta make another trip out from the east coast
Great video and lots of good information. I am planning an OR coast trip in August/Sept so this was a great video to introduce me to the area and know some must see spots. Thanks.
Gorgeously done! We have been up & down the Oregon Coast several times - spectacular. Thanks for asking people to respect the wildlife, especially that little harbor seal (they are sweet & skittish). And sea lions can hurt you. I used to have to scare them off of our docks. Oh man, the pee bucket overflowing - ugh. Happened with our NaturesHeads (2 on boat, 1 in RV). We switched to a ThinkTank on the new trailer. Anyway, I loved this video!
Hey both…Loving this series of vids, visited Iceland on my way to Seattle from the uk, but was only there a day, so watching your events was a treat, but growing up in the uk dreaming of going to the US, watching movies like the goonies etc, loved the west coast images, this coastline looks amazing….. absolutely stunning guys.👌🏽🇺🇸🏴
I'm a native Oregonian. All of the geologists in Oregon know that we are overdue by a few decades for "The Big One". The geological record shows that they have happened about every 300 years, and it has been 322 years since the last one. It happened in 1700. The Pacific Plate meets the North American plate about 200 miles offshore. It is called the Cascadia Subduction Zone. When it snaps, it will send a tsunami onto the Oregon Coast. There will be about a 20-minute warning. Geologists generally agree that almost every bridge up to about 60 miles inland will be destroyed. Survivors will be trapped where they are. There are many videos on TH-cam about this. I think that it is absolutely insane that anyone lives along the Oregon Coast. There are hundreds of houses just above high tide, and they will all be swept away. Conservative estimates are for a series of tsunamis about 10-20 feet high. Many of the cities are on bluffs just above the beach, and the huge volume of water behind the surges will push that water up over 100 feet. Tsunami warning signs along highway-101 are set at 100 feet, but that is likely not high enough in some areas. A lot of people are going to die. The road system won't be restored for a long, long time. If they put this in the headlines every day, people would be leaving the coast in droves... but that's not good for business. The realtors are still making money. The land developers are still making money. It is a tourist area. That's the kind of news that can crash an economy.
Hey I am new to the channel and I loved your video on Oregon Coast. I did subscribe and push the notification bell. I live in Oregon and have spent so much time on our Gorgeous coast. when I can’t make it to the coast I’ll be going back to your video. I love that you explored the tide pools. So many great ones here. my favorite thing to do. Now that I have found you looking forward to binge watching all of your fun adventures.
We're confused about your comment regarding travel on 101 being limited to vehicles 30 feet and less. The highway is traveled constantly by truckers, long class A's, and long travel trailers day and night. A little challenging compared to Interstate 5 but more than worth the challenge.
As I recall, that is a short stretch near the California/Oregon border. I have been through there, and there are some very tight curves on cliffs. It's scary.
Guys... THIS.. !!! Definitely my happy place and I agree Liz is a Master at taking us along for the trip 😀 We are spending the summer in Vancouver Washington I hope you visit the area! Thanks again for sharing your journey. I ❤️ it!
I appreciate that you try to pronounce the names correctly! I am from Oregon, and our farm to table seen is off the charts amazing. So much good produce.
Love both of your attitudes, your so happy doing what your doing and it shows! I just found your channel and I am enjoying you. Keep up the great video’s I will be leaving in a couple of weeks to do the Oregon coast, awesome to get some idea’s 😊 Thank you!
Lucky #7!! Christine is all about camping on the beach. She is definitely more of a beach person than I am. The Oregon coast was pretty cool. You eat all of that junk and you feel bloated in addition to feeling like 💩.
We did both. The beach front site we booked in advance using Arvie. It's a site that searches for cancellations then autobooks if found! specialoffer.arvie.com/?via=liz

I live in Brookings. So glad you enjoyed our little corner of paradise.
I did indeed! Thank you
We’ve done that highway twice and it’s just breathtaking. The breakfast sandwiches at Tillamook Cheese were amazing
Yes! Bummed we didn't get to go that far north this time.
The sea was so phenomenal with all of sea life and rock formations. Fantastic shots!
Thank you so much, Dennis is a master at capturing natures beauty!
I agree, Ya Hot! Thanks for the tour and food/beverage recommendations as always. Must get up there to Cali-Or-Wash coast someday soon. Safe travels, especially steppin around Thors Well.

You'll have to get back out there Gene!
Now you guys are in my backyard! Welcome❤️💖

Thanks for having us! Enjoy next time you pass through
I’m loving this series and literally taking notes in where to go, where to stay and what to see. Thanks.
Awesome! So so so glad!
I saw the briefest shot of the Heceta Head Lighthouse. Need to check it out next time.
The colors of sea life are amazing! Trip planned for May 2023

Thank you 😊
I've been a vegetarian for many years and it is interesting to see how people react when we asked for meals without meat!!
We used to live in Coos Bay, and loved going to the beaches, especially when the tide was coming in and pounding the rocks, and really catching folks who go too close and were soaked!!!
So awesome!
Such a fabulous video. I love the animal and nature shots. It’s like Animal Planet quality 😍

The drive to the top of cape perpetua has the best view of the coast.
I did see the scenic drive! It says you can see 100s of miles all around.
First time I finally got a chance to drive up the Oregon coast… it was fogged in literally all the way up! Gotta make another trip out from the east coast
We get it! Our first attempt was like that too. The weather in Oregon on the coast can be crazy
Great video and lots of good information. I am planning an OR coast trip in August/Sept so this was a great video to introduce me to the area and know some must see spots. Thanks.

What’s the name of the beach front RV site? Did I miss it?
We shared all of the RV sites names in the videos 😃 Tillicum is the 2nd one though
